Delicious food from here again the other day – potstickers and tempura shrimp curry. Enough with the ubiquitous inclusion of white rice though by this and myriad other East Asian restaurants. It’s 2016 in the USA, and many or perhaps even most of us don’t eat the rice. Just offer it on the side-items menu for $ 0.50 or $ 1.00 or whatever. Good truck though, yes. I’ll be back. :-)

I tried the Fried Noodles, which is basically chow mein, and it was okay. Didn’t have a lot of flavor. I had to add a lot of Sriracha and my own chili paste sauce. It tasted a little better the next day because it had a little more flavor from soaking up the juices, but then the noodles got mushy. Maybe I wouldn’t mind trying some other items on their menu, but these noodles were not for me.

The yummy box truck parks in front of my work almost weekly, and it’s just… yummy! They always have a vegetarian option, usually the veggie fried noodle dish, and sometimes have a fish option, so if you’re a nontraditional eater, they’ve got good variety. I really like the fried noodles, but the dish that stood out the most to me was the salmon over sticky rice. Oh-my…it was sweet and salty, perfect marrying of flavors. The staff is always so kind too! I always get happy when I see the Yummy Box truck outside my office. I do wish they had more variety in their vegetarian option because even though it’s good, I may eventually grow tired of the fried noodle dish. But for now, I keep coming back!

I ordered the popcorn chicken with rice and received a meal that will haunt me in my dreams. At least half of the pieces didn’t include anything that I could identify as chicken. Many of them appeared to be fried goo. I ended up breaking pieces apart to find what chicken was there, threw the rest away, and regretted eating what I did. I was genuinely concerned about food poisoning but managed to make it through the night.

Phenomenal food with great service from great guy. I’ve tried the katsu bacon burger, beef poutine, popcorn chicken and the katsu curry and all have been perfect.

$ 7 yucky meal. They gave me a sample of the popcorn chicken which was good, and the popcorn chicken I ordered was not.

Today I got a salmon burger with fries. The service was fine. The price was acceptable. The fries were GREAT. The salmon burger was not hot in temperature… more like room temperature. I feel that there are too many toppings(gloppy) to appreciate the flavor of the salmon(and I’m not a fan of «fishy» fish.) If I get the salmon burger again, I’ll get it «naked,» with a lemon wedge.

Yum! They serve a variety of Asian dishes including Taiwanese, Chinese and Japanese cuisine. I’ve tried their popcorn chicken, pork stew over rice and the salmon don. Everything was really good and they all came out fast! They are sometimes parked in Westlake Park which is where I caught them the first time. Their schedule isn’t really up to date on their website, so it’s hard to determine where they will be, maybe check their Facebook for updates. The prices are really affordable, and the food is delicious. One thing about the salmon that I’ll complain about is that there were a few bones that I had to pick out and that was a bit annoying.

Experience was so great I felt compelled to write a rare review! I work in Westlake Park area downtown, which has on average about 5 trucks to choose from most days of the week. Most food trucks don’t allow for substitutions or modifications, let alone take your order with a smile and concern for which options would make you happiest(«I could sub veggies, noodles, no meat, would any of those appeal to you?»). Yummy Box may not be the flashiest or most famous food truck in the area, but it makes up for it with actual customer loyalty concern(not to mention the freshest and most diverse fish options)!

I’ve been lucky enough to catch these guys a few times in Bellevue, the food totally rocks! Lots of attention to detail and taste! I don’t give 5 stars often, but these guys have never let me down… I always ask about the specials…

Today, i was lucky to have the Yummy Box food truck come to the T-Mobile headquarters. I ordered their popcorn chicken and it was amazing! Best popcorn chicken I’ve ever had, hands down. Mind you, I’m from Chicago and there isn’t good Taiwanese food there… And while in Cali, I only go to quickly for my quick fix… Back to the popcorn chicken, it was $ 7. The chicken is hot, crispy and super flavorful. The perfect amount of warmth so don’t be worried if you don’t like spicy food. I also ordered the extra rice which brought my total to $ 8 not including tax. Tip: get the rice, it is totally worth it because they put on their stewed pork belly over the rice which is soft and flavorful. If they ever comeback I will eat there again! Thanks Yummy box!

There’s an area near by my office, has food trucks every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Sometimes, I walk by and can’t control to buy something here. Yummy Box is one of the regular food trucks. I’ve been here I couple times and ordered different items. Overall, I really like the flavors. Although, I wish there would be more juice/sauce in my beef stew. And, I wish it would be a little bigger for the smoked salmon dish I had. They are doing great to keep up with other food trucks. I would like to try more.

Beef Rendang was awesome. Last time I’ve had this dish was probably at the Malay Satay Hut in International District. But YummyBox’s version was much much better, real tender beef and right amount of spices.

AWESOME food! We had the Katsu Burger & it was very tasty! Their menu has a wide variety of different kinds of Asian Fusion dishes. Don’t worry if you are unsure of what you would like the staff have some great recommendations and they’re very nice as well.

The beef stew is totally amazing — just the right amount of spice, and the beef quality is great — lean and very tender. I have traveled several miles to buy lunch there — all menu items are very good. Would highly recommend!

what i admire about Yummy Box is he didn’t go the route of the ubiquitous asian fusion. i am so happy to see a food truck in the edmonds/lynnwood area that is not another taco truck. don’t get me wrong, i love mexican food so much, i even eat bad mexican food but it’s nice to see the food truck choices in my neighborhood are expanding. the truck is usually parked in the casino parking lot across the street from Premera on 200th st. it seems like business is good because he is not there half of the week due to «private functions». so good for him! there is not one thing that i did not like. now, there might be a first because the rendang is always sold out so i have not had a chance to taste it. besides the regular menu posted on his website, there is a white board menu that changes up on a semi-regular basis. katsu burger: hefty sandwich with a crispy katsu patty. the bun is a little soft to hold up to the burger. taiwanese pork stew: generous portion of seasoned braised pork belly served over rice. a great value for the price. popcorn chicken: deliciously crispy yet tender. served with pickled daikon and carrots. ikura oyako(mother-child) don: amazing. house smoked salmon and marinated/seasoned ikura over rice. incredibly generous serving for $ 7. get this now. there is a large selection of sauces that is not common even at sit down restaurants. this is authentic flavors with great prices and portions. highly recommended.
