The employees at this store are extremely friendly and helpful. It is always clean and organized. I’ve had nothing but good experiences at this home depot.

Send your wife here if you want their employees to hit on her and repeatedly ask her for her ‘digits’. We were working on a project at home this weekend, and needed a few more bags of rock. Sent the Mrs. over to grab the bags since they will typically load it for you. She asked one of the associates for some help finding another product, which he clearly had no idea what it was or where it was, or even what he was doing. After she basically found it herself, he went on to say how ‘fine’ she was and asked her repeatedly for her number, and after she declined over and over, he tried giving his number to her instead. She felt so uncomfortable that she just left quickly, instead of asking for help with the bags of stone. which meant she had to lift 15 bags of rocks into the SUV by herself. Obviously the manager here needs to get his/her employees intentions towards customers fixed. We’ll be shopping at Lowe’s from now on.

My wife and I purchased carpet from this store in Edwardsville and the experience has been horrible, the billing is messed up, the installer damaged our home, and the Asst. Store Managers, Tim and Pete have bitter and rude attitudes that lack customer care or concern! It has been over a week since we initially contacted Tim with our concerns about the billing mess up. When I called today the customer service rep told me they have alot of new cashiers. We got a 5% discount for using our Home Depot Charge Card and this negated the 0% we were getting on our over $ 5,000 purchase. We were not told this would negate the 0% and then we are told that it is Citibank that offers the discount in their store. Maybe, but I don’t go to Citibank, I went to Home Depot! I refinished my basement 2 yrs ago and the same store messed up the billing in the pro department and it took multiple trips to get it fixed. The Store Mgr. stepped up and took care of it. I think I just don’t have time to deal with Home Depot in Edwardsville anymore. Additionally, we were promised an install date and then there were complications with fulfilling that, the installers damaged the banister and walls in my home and now we need light plaster work and painting done, we have spent over 18 hours with the installers in our home and we are not done yet. Very frustrating purchase to say the least! Highly dissappointed!

I called another location about an item that I had all the information about. I wanted to see if they had it in stock and have it at the front desk for me. They did not. So, I called this location, spoke to the manager, and one of his staff, while I was on the phone actually went to view the item, pulled them all(6) and put my name on them at the front desk… good customer service, loved this location…

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been to this Home Depot in the past week. It’s a better choice than Lowe’s, that’s for sure. We’ve needed so much for our new house. They are making a killing off of us right now! For the most part, their staff is helpful and friendly. I’ve gone during the day so I’ve never had to wait for a register since there aren’t many other people there. The layout is a little funky. The Home Depots we had in California had a more efficient setup, in my opinion. The garden department definitely needs some work. There is a much better selection at the HD in Collinsville than here. I was very disappointed to see that each time I went, their trees out front were fallen over on their sides and a lot of plants needed watering. Who wants to buy anything when they look like that? With such limited choices for home supplies in the area, hopefully HD will step up in this department. I do have to give a big thumbs up to the lady in the windows and blinds department who cut our blinds and had them ready within an hour. That totally rocked!

Bought a Weber grill(yes!), but the hardware bag was a few bolts short(oh no!). Staff led me to the hardware aisle(yes!), but it was highly disorganized(oh no!). Fortunately, «Steve» unratcheted some bolts from the floor model to help me out(yes!). Home Depot exclusive: Weber«Spirit» grills here have the higher-grade«Genesis» series cast-iron grates.

John — I couldn’t have said it any better myself. They have over 12 cash register stations but usually, the only one open is by the service desk so the employee can do double duty. I’ve actually called corporate and their canned response was, «…they are supposed to open up another register if more than 3 people are in line…» Really? Then why don’t they?!
