All Cars Smog Test Only

Absolutely do not take your car here! These guys are rude and they try to rip you off. I took my car here after clearing a check engine light I had driven the appropriate mileage in order to clear the code from the cars computer. But this guy failed me for a pending emissions code. FYI you can not fail a SMOG check with a pending code. You can only final if you have an actual code or a check engine light is on. After the man told me that the car had failed smog I asked him to explain why and he couldn’t answer me because his mafia looking buddies in the garage were trying to talk to him. I will never use this place and I defiantly do not recommend this place to anyone who has any hope of passing smog. I ended up going to another smog check place and they told me that the car wold pass smog even with a pending code and guess what it did. These guys have no clue what they are doing. Also their wifi didn’t work while I was there. I had an extremely hard time understanding the guy working there also.

Great service. I was in and out in about 10 – 15 minutes. Not sure why people are complaining about the prices and calling them crooks. The prices are posted directly on the wall behind the front counter. No appointments necessary, and quick, friendly service.

Not impressed. I brought my brand new truck in for a smog and the older gentleman was about to pull my truck in the garage and the rear view mirror was about to hit the side of the building so I told him to stop so i could put the lights in and the younger man yelled from the garage, «That’s what we have insurance for! «
I was so appalled by this statement I took my car abruptly and left. The fact that he would say that, tells me, along with the other customers that were standing right there, that the only thing that he was worried about was that he didn’t have to pay for my repair. Apparently, it’s no big deal to rip a rear view mirror off of a 60,000 dollar car with 100 miles on it. Not to mention my time and trouble to repair it.
I would not recommend that you put your vehicle in the hands of this business. Very disrespectful and careless.

This guy is a crook charged me $ 69 for a fail. He failed me for a cracked hose and it didn’t even fail on the emissions!

went there to get my car smogged. Mike was very easy to deal with and friendly. very clean waiting area. I was in and out around 25 minutes. pricing was equal if not a little less than other places. if you are in el cajon and need a smog check, this is the spot to visit.

bummer! I thought this place would be good b/​c of the great reviews, but I had a bad experience. Mike was helpful and friendly, but when he saw that my truck had a modified part on it he refused to work on it and said that the part I had was illegal. The part IS in fact legal and all Mike had to do was look up the part number to realize this — which my husband told him, but honestly I think he just didn’t want to deal w/​it. Huge waste of my time. Would not recommend this place to a friend.

Even though I did not pass my smog test Mike was right on time for my appointment, courteous, professional and helpful as to what I need to do in order to pass next time. Bottom line is I will go back for the re test and take my other vehicles as well.

Super happy I went here instead of the place I had a coupon for, which the other place was still a bit more even with the coupon. My mom actually had recommended I go here as she had just done hers, unfortunately she had failed her smog, but was real happy with their service. I called in the morning to ask if they were fairly busy and the guy said they were a little slow but even with a wait they would take care of me quickly. I went in and there was one car being done and another person waiting, the tech told me how long the wait would be and he was right on about the wait! Being told a realistic waiting period at most places really never happens so I was grateful that he didnt bs me at all, especially because he was the only person there. In the time I waited a few more people showed up and he was staright forward with them as well. I will def be recommending this place to everyone I know!

Fast, clean, and affordable! Really, what more could you ask for? The estimated wait time ended up being exactly what they said it would be. The waiting room was clean and very accommodating for myself and my two children. Best of all, they didn’t try to sneak in any extra fees like many $ 19.95 smog test only places do!

Simply put, this is the only place one needs to go if your car has to get a smog test only. The owner Mike, took care of my car quickly and I didn’t wait long at all even though I didn’t make an appointment. Also, the price here was so reasonable. Mike, the owner, is a rockstar! Apparently the friggin lovely state of CA changed the laws in the last year or so regarding exhaust modifications. I put an after market cool air intake on my truck years ago and have successfully passed smog w/​o an issue 2 – 3 times. Apparently the state now says that the mod part has to have some number on it to cross reference with their database. From the research I’ve dont the majority of after marker intakes don’t have this number because it was never required until now. For most who did this like I did before 2009 — you’re screwed. You either have to replace the intake with a newer one (which I did), find the stock part or see if the company is issuing stickers with the numbers on them to appease the DMV! It was like a week long process before everything went right and he was SO super helpful and patient! I’ll drive back to El Cajon to get this done again!
I feel bad for him since the DMV didn’t notify consumers only shop owners of this change from what I’m told. Since he’s in East County about 95% of the F150s like mine have mods to the exhaust!
There’s always something BS with this friggin’ state! They already charge me $ 100 a year because of the weight of my truck, now I had to spend $$ to deal with this… I can only imagine what 2012 holds!
