Ami Sushi

Tonight will be the third time I’ve eaten here. I recommended this place to a friend and her family, so all 6 of us got together. I like the customer service, I like that the food arrives in a timely manner, everything is reasonably priced, great for date nights I’m sure (although I wouldn’t know personally, lol), and close to the 8 freeway as well as Parkway Plaza. I had my usual «spicy» (more on that in a sec) tuna roll, vegetable yakisoba, and this time I added a crunch roll, which was really good! I’m more of a sashimi girl but wanted something with a little crunch and that was perfect! Now the only reason I rated this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because the spicy tuna roll is never spicy… ever…at all! I see the orange powder on the roll but not sure if it’s paprika because it’s definitely not cayenne pepper or chili powder. If they could make their spicy tuna rolls actually spicy, that would be great, and if anyone reading this goes in to order that and it’s on point, let me know and I’ll get it again, then change the rating.

revised post… originally i gave 4 stars then was accused of placing an order and not picking it up, the snotty girl on the phone would not let me talk to a manager nor give me her name. Needless to say i will not return and will not refer anyone there ever again. Bad business and bad phone etiquette, bad all away around. Don’t waste your time.

Low budget sushi with regular prices. I’d be surprised if they didn’t spit in my food considering how many times I had to correct them with my order. Oh and I’m dying of thirst… we finally got our water after the meal was over. Was it wrong to write «no thanks» on the tip line of the receipt?
Follow up: just got home and spent 25 minutes in the bathroom.

Sushi is decent. Ok for that quick craving. Service was average. Not bad but a lot better places around town to go to for better sushi.
