I love their sandwiches– especially the grilled cheese feta! And if you see the rainbow sprinkle cookies– get them! It’s like eating pure happiness.

Hot Pastrami, extra meat with everything is fantastic. It beats Antonellis which I also love. Great shop.

I’m a big fan of Grab & Go and have been since before they started expanding everywhere. I feel that since they have expanded so much, their quality is going downhill a bit, especially at the newer locations(in particular El Cajon). I order the vegetarian sandwich without onions, and once it came without avocado, which means it was a lettuce, tomato, and cheese sandwich. Even for a veg, that’s a gross sandwich! A meatball sandwich without meatballs is not a meatball sandwich, and likewise, a veggie sandwich without the avocado is NOT a veggie sandwich. Today I got a sandwich and the bread was so stale you could knock on it! Not at all acceptable. I was very disappointed. Good bread is the key to a good sandwich, along with making sure all the key ingredients for that sandwich are on it! Also, one of the original G & G’s had delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies baked fresh every day. Now they sell these big, dry chocolate chip cookies that seem like they buy them from a distributor and let them sit out several days. I don’t get them anymore and it’s a bummer they stopped serving the fresh ones. Anyhow, I believe if you are going to expand your restaurant a LOT, as Grab & Go has done in the past several years, your number one priority should be in keeping the quality up to the same level as what first made your little mom and pop establishment such a success. We are already inundated with so many shitty chain restaurants out there. You don’t want to become another Subway. Time to re-up your game, guys. I recommend Dudley’s for a good sandwich over Grab & Go right now.

I’d give this place a 3. Service was great. Place looked clean. As far as the sandwiches there was nothing really wrong, just nothing amazing. You could go to Submarina or Antonellis and get a much higher quality, better tasting sandwich from either of these locations.

It’s my first time here… Food seems fresh and prices are good. The meat seems like good quality and the staff was really nice… For a quick lunch place it was decent I would come back again.

I usually get a spicy turkey sandwich and I’ve tried personal pizza from them, the food is always good and fresh. They have great fast service, I’ve never waited more than a couple minutes.

I’ve lived down the street from this diamond in the rough for over a year now. My roommate and I crave grab n go sandwiches about once a week. The employees are always kind, and the food always comes out quick and delicious. Definitely a great spot to get a quick bite at a reasonable price!

Very Very Very delicious Sandwiches ! Best I have had in a long time. Fresh bread, all the cold cuts were higher quality and the onions lettuce etc. was all crisp and fresh. I would never eat at a subway or other Deli if I had this Grab n Go nearby. I got my sandwich right away and the staff was very friendly. The entire location was spotlessly clean. I have been back multiple time since my first time. Best Sandwiches!

Sad to say they stopped the $ 5 any sub from 3pm to 5 pm AND the will soon be raising the price of the $ 5 grab and go. What a bummer, it was a great deal for my budget. Def won’t be going as often. :(

This was absolutely delicious! I was recommended this place by my father-in-law and wow I was not disappointed. I think it took longer for me to decide what I wanted then for them to make it. The staff was so friendly and accommodating to my order, and even offered me additions instead of rushing me along. I will definitely be back.

the DL: whether you are going on a hike or hitting the beach, G&G will take care of your picnic needs. Excellent Italian sandwiches /sandwiches in general. I’ve been a G&G fan my whole eating career. Growing up we would get Mimos weekly and my Pops always got Grab & Go subs for his employees. Just an awesome sub for only $ 5. Now that I live in El Cajon I was stuck eating Jersey Mikes, or so I thought… There are G&Gs evvvverywhere. My favorites are the Italian, Sicilian, and meatball. Get em hot if you are trapped indoors, and cold for when you are doing some SD adventure stuff.

I tried Grab n Go at a friends suggestion for the first time last week. I love sandwiches and I eat a LOT of them, so naturally I had to stop in. I had the spicy turkey avocado jack and it was delicious! There were a lot of toppings including spicy turkey, pepper jack cheese, tomatoes, avo, onions, jalapenos and a bit of spicy mayo. For $ 7, it was a good-sized sandwich and filled me up. It was also served hot which made it all the better(hot turkey and melty cheese… you can’t go wrong!) I’m definitely going to swing by next time I’m in the area. I need to try The Sicilian and the Turkey with Applewood Bacon, mmm! I also recall there being a grilled cheese – with FETA – on the menu. That may be my next choice!

I love this place like the name says you can grab a great sub and go if you like if you have a minute get the pastrami it is the Baum… for an extra treat get it Fabien style(El Cajon Only I think) its a mix of the grilled feta and pastrami… I have six of my friends and co workers hooked on this place… I love there salad to… there house dressing is killer… I have lived in El Cajon for all my life and everyone knows Antonellis which is good like the Grinder at times to much bread… The bread for me at G and G’s is the Baum light flaky Italy style… They started in little Italy as a full blown restaurant(its still there I think) that when in the area I would grad a sandwich I am glad that they are bringing there great food to us in east county

It was fresh. The bread was very good. The problem was i paid over seven bucks for a small sub with very little meat. It tasted ok, meaning it was good, but for the price i sure would venture to a mom and pop shop like Nita’s or Antonellis deli for better meat to bread ratio. There customer service was good and again, the taste was good, i just expected more.

These things are popping up all over the damn place! That is a GOOD thing! Came here today and got a sandwich. Some of the locations are closed on Sundays but this place was open so I decided to swing by. I got the Sunday Special(Club sub, drink and chips). After tax it was just over $ 8.00. Can’t beat that. The club sub had ham, turkey and bacon on it. I got no mayo and subbed oil and vinegar. I grabbed some Dirty Chips and my drink. The sandwich was good… not as good as other ones I have had, but still a damn fine sandwich. I have noticed though that when they toast the bread, it gets a little rough on your mouth. I may just request cold sandwiches from here on out. Service was friendly as always and these sandwiches are way better than any other chain type place. I will be back. There are 2 Grab and Gos within 5 minutes of my house. Score!

Lots of sandwich options around, and this place is just down the streets from Antonellis. I prefer this place to them though if only because while the food is similar in quality and flavor, there is ALWAYS a line at Antonelli’s and it is impossible to get a sandwich over lunch time unless you call it in, and even then you are waiting. I would put this as the #2 locally– behind Jersey Mike’s right now– but it is still pretty good. I have only ever had the sandwiches, and they are pretty good.

I stopped in Grab and Go after a day of work to have some dinner. I ordered their Po’ Boy which included turkey, roast beef, Genoa Salami, Swiss cheese, and all the greens, pickles, dijonnaise and oil and vinegar for $ 7. I had the bread and meats toasted. The Po’ Boy was quite large and pretty good.( ) It came with a single layer of all the meats which were descent. They quality of the meats were okay, but I was not wowed by their attributes( ). I did however like the flavor of their«dijonnaise» and enjoyed the fact that the pickles and greens were fresh and crispy.( ) It was definitely a filling sandwich. The place was very clean and the employees were very friendly. I enjoyed the back and forth banter I shared with the girl at the counter. The place can be a little hard to find because it is behind the Starbucks in the same building, so it is obscured from the road as you drive by.

Stopped in for a couple subs and the atmosphere, employees, and food were exceptional. It’s about time East County got a legitimate sub shop of this caliber. A cut above. Will definately be returning.
