Went to Kennedy’s to try the carne asada nachos and a carne asada burrito based on other Unilocal reviews. The nachos were okay and the burrito was so and so. It reminded me of a Chipotle the way the food was made. Sort of pricey. $ 19 for those two items.

Uninspired meats and slow service. I won’t be going back again.

This is a great place to get some great food. There are a lot of choices of meats, different type of beans, different kinds of rice, and lots of choices of other toppings… I didn’t even try counting the salsa choices! Fast friendly food that has something for everyone. We will be back for sure.

Items are way to expensive I know that Kennedys Carne Asada is labeled the best in the valley but come on it is not like there Carne is the holy grail of Carne their prices will be there down fall.

I went here for lunch and they have an excellent selection of tasty food. Everything is prepared right in front of you. Your food is served hot and exactly how you ordered it! I highly recommend this place.

I give the chicken(pollo asado) a 1.5÷2, but everything else a 4. I kept having to pick out chewy/hard pieces while eating which is always annoying. The options for fillings are pretty good and I don’t think they charge extra for guac. I will most likely try another place in the area next time I’m in town but if I had to come back, I definitely wouldn’t get the chicken.

Carne asada is pretty descent but soggy. Has a lot of fresh salsa on it that the sauce was dripping out of burrito wrap. It’s a good idea to have fresh salsa on the side. Pricey for a piece of soggy burrito.

Second time here, so good. I love that I can create my own Carne Asada fires. The food is fresh and the meat is tender. The only thing I didn’t like is that one of the girls was bad customer service. But the other was nice. Will be coming back just as long as I don’t get the bad customer service girl.

Upon arriving at lunchtime, there was 1 car and 3 people inside. NBD. The ordering was confusing at first but then I realized that its like a Subway for mex food(ala Chipotle) Yes the food was good. Place is clean. Employees are quiet but nice. Im sorry but nothing beats San Diego Mexican food. I had to wait till today to write this just in case I was on the toilet XD

Good quality meats. A little bit pricey but this is due to fine meats. Also they need to make sure that tables are clean. Had to ask for table to be wiped clean. Place was empty. Also need to pay attention to customers when ordering. Had to repeat my order several times. Overall my family order, parrillada style was good but barely enough for me hearty eater, 2 small kid’s and wife which are heavy eater like my self. We spent 50 $ exactly for us. I recommend it since here in imperial valley not much to places to go.

Tried this place for the first time after hearing so many good things about it and reading Unilocal.Ordered a burrito, and it was filled with rice, beans, and Carne Asada. I was also able to add extras onto my burrito from their toppings bar which looked very fresh! The burrito was more than filling, and had great flavor. The inside is very clean, and 3 good sized TVs keep you entertained if you dine alone like me lol.

I entered kennedys tacos and was unprepared for the environment… I encountered a chipotle-like service line… I wanted a sit down with service restaurant, and while the ladies working thought they were helpful regaling me with all the choices, I got a bad vibe from the place and left without ordering or eating anything… I’m sure it fits someones definition of a good Mexican restaurant… just not mine… I didn’t want fast food…

Drove from Tucson AZ and was hungry for some lunch. I found this place on Unilocal and I was fairly pleased. The portions were sized nicely and the food tasted authentic. If I ever drive through El Centro again, I’ll be making a quick stop.

I came here before for tacos and they were great. However, I was craving a burger and I figured they would have the bomb burgers, at least fresh, but it seems like it came from a frozen patty. Doesn’t taste fresh, no flavor and very different than the rest of their good tacos. I was pretty suprised because they have good meat but the burgers are a fail. Very little difference in taste quality than the Del Taco burgers next door. I will come back, but for Tacos only.

The BEST Carne Asada tacos and Carne Asada fries in the valley!!! A bit pricey but totally worth it once you try the food.

Good flavor and enjoyed the multitude of options to put my tacos together. Al pastor tacos had great flavor. The asada(sp?) tacos tender and delicious. I can see why locals love this place, but for a random guy from the northwest I had all sorts of questions and think I missed out on something. As far as the tacos go, I was disappointed the corn tortillas weren’t doubled up. made for quite the mess as they completely fell apart trying to eat. When it comes to beef you have a choice a good meat or not good meat. Thought that was interesting… why not have one cut and price accordingly? Perhaps it’s a Mexican thing … I’ll be back before leaving town… I do love tacos.

GREAT. FRICKEN. FOOD. Holy Hello Kitty, if you haven’t stopped here to eat, you are missing Mexican Heaven! We stopped on our way from Yuma to San Diego. It’s so close to the freeway and easy to get to that it is the perfect stop for lunch. The food was so good I wanted more, even though I was so full I couldn’t get out of my booth! Seriously, I was so impressed. I had the Carne Asada Nachos because I had read the reviews here on Unilocal ahead of time and they were flippen phenomenal! The tender, juicy beef was layered and weaved throughout the perfectly salted, crispy tortilla chips. The cheese oozed and slithered onto every bite! So good, you’ll have dreams of these nachos after you eat them. My hubs had the carnitas burrito and loved it. I didn’t get a bite, so I can’t describe it. Sorry. Free refills on your drinks, which is pretty important with the heat of El Centro. GO. HERE. NOW.

We are travelling home to Mount Ida, Arkansas from our niece’s wedding in Laguna Beach. Husband wanted a burrito before getting out of California. Fortunately the map on Unilocal(as well as the other Unilocal features) allowed us to find Kennedy’s Taco! Amazingly good food. I never order Mexican food… I’m a very picky eater and want to make my own food. I ORDERED a burrito because my husband’s looked so good. You can choose whatever you like, to be placed into a flour tortilla. Build your own burrito, made right in front of you. The meat, carne asada and shredded beef looked so good. When we got in the car and I bit into my burrito, I was so happy – I made the right choice by ordering my own burrito, made my way! Won’t mind coming back through the southern route home next time!
