Gonna have to give this place only 3 stars because they have room for improvement just like anyone else. I came here yesterday to grab a ginger ale in the wee hours since I was too lazy to go to Luckys. The sign said 2 for $ 2.22 I thought to myself okay well I’ll get the second one since it’s a good deal and Its just good to keep around the house. The guy rings up the can and says $ 4.10 is the final price! Umm when did taxes and crv before almost $ 2.00! I told them the sign states 2 for $ 2.22 and he said that deal was over even though the sign was still up. Sorry but I work in customer service and if the sign is still up and within the timeframe that was stated then I would have offered it to the customer. Now I know to keep ginger ale always in the house so I don’t have to spend a ton at 7⁄11

I just finished counting my money as I waited for the cashier to come to check me out. I made a purchase for $ 5.99 and he gave me four dollars back. I said I had given him a twenty. No, he said, you gave me a ten. Bad karma to the thief. Brother, I have been going there forever. Thanks for souring my day. Cashier working on Friday night, November 13 at 6:45 p, m. (I originally had $ 170, six twenties and one fifty dollar bill). Was it worth the bad juju? Time will tell.

love this place. yonas is the friendliest guy ever. parking is ample. it has the best selection of ben & jerrys ice cream(they stock my two favorite flavors, coffee heath bar and triple caramel chunk — neither of which i can EVER find at the safeway by the del norte station). the ATM is part of my network and takes both my citibank and credit union debit card with no fee. they stock«car kulture» magazines!

used to come here all the time in middle/high school. if you go during the time school gets out, expect it to be crowded with a bunch of kids inside and outside the store. kept pretty clean and organized. can’t complain!

I used to come here way back in high school in the ‘80s. Now I pop by infrequently, if I’m in the area. This 7-Eleven has been hidden away in EC since forever. You’d never find it unless you lived local or wandered by lost, yet it’s stayed successful when other more visible 7-Elevens folded. Now there are some café type places across the street so it doesn’t have to be so lonely among homes and apartments. Inside it is the usual. Drinks, snacks, slurpees, magazines. Generally is clean. Employees are polite. Though I do have to agree with another reviewer, that I got shorted by a dime one time. Cmon folks, those colorful things in front of you on that machine you are typing on are numbers. Those numbers are the change you should be giving me. It’s only happened to me personally once, and won’t again. Now I want a slurpee.

A perfectly fine 7 – 11, the aisle layout is really weird though. I’m just happy to find out there is one so close to CCCT

This is the local store for my neighborhood. I use it several times a week and have never had any problems. Yes, kids do hang out here during their«commute» to and fro school but it’s not really an issue. The place is always clean and the staff appears to be an extended family. They’re always VERY nice. The one thing I’d ding them on is on several occasions I’ve purchased a pint of ice cream only to get home and find that it had melted and been refrozen. Ugghh. I’m not sure about what the other review says regarding correct change but I guess I will start counting.

Back in the day! I grew up with this store living and growing up in El Cerrito. It was always there. It was always known to my friends and I as the 7 Eleven by my house. This 7 Eleven has been around for as far back as can remember. I use to walk here with friends or by myself when I was little to get a coke or cherry slurpee. Then came the big bites! Yum! They use to have the deal two for a buck back in the day! This 7 Eleven use to have Street Fighter as well. Friends and I would line up with quarters to play with a slurpee in hand. LOL! Those were the days. I miss the Homer Simpson donut. They need to bring that back. The nachos were really good too. The owners of the store have always been pretty cool. Good service! If my friends were over and we got hungry we would just walk over. But, living so close by you see the most random ass people you will ever see walking to and into the store. All kinds of people! It’s like how do all these people find out about this 7 Eleven because the location is kind of hidden. I always found that to be funny. The best thing was, if you’re in a hurry to a party or BBQ and need to bring beer, chips, ice, snacks or soda, 7 Eleven was always here to save my life! This 7 Eleven has a decent selection of ice cream and energy drinks too! If this 7 Eleven ever closed down I would cry!

Ah, the local Sev… This place has been around since I was at Portola Jr. High way back in the day. Located near El Cerrito High School, one must be careful not to hit it up during lunch time or when school is getting out. Since few places(aside from Nation’s) are open past 10pm in EC, this place became a savior for late night milk, junk food buying and the obscure baseball paraphernalia(go Giants). The walk down from my house for microwave popcorn for movie dates was always helpful too… The guys that work here are nice and friendly. They take credit and debit but only give $ 10 cash back(I know this from beer runs for poker playing), but they do have an additional ATM inside. Hate to let Paulo L. know this, but this location has been held up before… goes with the territory.

Well I have to say, out of all the 7−11s that I have been to in my lifetime,(been to quite a few), this one is in the most odd place, but then again, never heard of any robberies, hold ups or anything bad at this location(I live a couple of blocks away). Only gripe is that sometimes the staff will sometimes«disappear» at 12 – 12:30am and just have a sign hanging out front like a *be right back* sign.

This 7-eleven is probably the MOSTCONVENIENT one in the whole Bay Area for the fact that I live nearby haha. Yeah, I was surprised when I first found this because it’s seriously hidden in a hill-side resedential neighborhood. Very useful for late night munchies or supplies etc. There’s always these indian or middle eastern dudes that work there and they are chill. This one cahsier their is always friendly on the late night shifts when we just conversate. Also, probably cleaner than most other locations too.

Comes in handy When I need candy. This place is one that I’m surprised is not closed down. Never seems to be many people shopping there. But Just before school and right after, I can see the kids hanging out.

This little Seven Eleven is tucked away in a very residential part of El Cerrito. When I feel the urgent, medical need for chocolate cake(remind me to get a medical bracelet for this condition…), I trot over here for Hostess Cupcakes with the squiggly icing for a quick fix. On unbearably hot days, I get a Slurpee here and spike it with vodka at home. I think it is serendipitous that they decided to put this store in the sleepy, residential part of town. And I hope that the people in the neighborhood take full advantage of their fortune by sneaking there in their pyjamas and/or slippers once in a while. I think in a civilized society, everyone deserves a store of bare necessities within a radius that justifies not changing into outside clothes. I’m giving this Seven Eleven only three stars, though, because the surly dude at the register would not accept my coupons for soda and for cigarettes.
