DONOTGOHERE. Let me preface this with I have never before written a Unilocal review, but my experience here was so terrible I had to post something. I took two dresses and a jacket here for dry cleaning. One of the dresses was a wedding dress. I asked the man working if they cleaned wedding dresses, and he confirmed that they did, but first tried to talk me out of it because it would be «too expensive» for me to handle. After I actually insisted he take my business he assured me that they would be able to clean it, and would re-clean if it was not up to standard. He also guaranteed everything would be ready in three days. Two weeks later, no one has called me to tell me my things are done, so I went in. The woman working could not read the computer system to see if it was done, and tells me to call that afternoon. The woman who answers the phone when I call that afternoon tells me she doesn’t speak English, and to call back at five, before handing up on me. When I call back at five, someone else tells me my clothes are not ready, but will be the following day. When I go to get my things, a different woman tells me that they did not clean my dress as it was«too dirty». She was surprised I was upset by this, since she assumed I would be thrilled to not have to pay the money. She could not explain why no one called me to tell me this in advance. She then told me that I should wash the dress myself, and then bring it back for them to clean. Finally, after repeating that I just wanted to pay and leave, she gave me back my wedding dress, which was wadded up and stuffed into a black trash bag. The customer service was terrible, the cleaning quality of my other garments was terrible, the whole experience was beyond the pale. Do yourself a favor and avoid pathetic excuse for a dry cleaner at all costs.

Yes the place is not good anymore. Dryers are not $ 0.25 for only 4 minutes. It used to be 6 min, which was a little better. Wow… The double loaders don’t seem to have enough water so clothes are as clean. I had to wash them twice. Now they have bigger machine are are starting to limit the smaller ones. Seem like the new owners are only focused on making more money. Most of the small machines are all out of order, which doesn’t make any sense I’m not coming back here after today

Sigh… new owners are greedy ba$tard$. This place recently changed owners and things have been going downhill ever since. First they painted over all the artwork on the walls with boring, plain white paint; so the place has ZERO character now. Then, they took out all the TVs — we didn’t want to catch some of the Niners, Raiders, A’s or Giants while waiting for our clothes to dry anyway right? So, be prepared to be bored outta your skull if you wash here. Then came the shinny new security cameras everywhere; to watch all us criminals(working class) and make sure we aren’t stealing anything — it’s so easy to slip a triple loader into your pocket and walk out unnoticed ya know? But it gets better… a nice fat 25% INCREASE in the cost of washing a load of clothes as of a few weeks ago; up from $ 2.00 to $ 2.50 now. Hows that for an inflation rate? But wait… there’s more: a 33% INCREASE in the cost of drying your clothes. A quarter used to get you 6 minutes of dryer time. but the new owners figure«everybody needs to wash clothes — so we can stick it to ‘em real good!!! what are they gonna do??? Take that poor people!!! HA !! HA! HA! «$$$$$$ $$$$$. Now that same quarter gets you a whopping 4MINUTES!!! Takes about $ 2.50 in quarters to dry a load now and remember $ 2.50 to wash. So, if you’re a working class family of 5, who washes say 5 loads per week, get ready to shell out about $ 125PERMONTH to these greedy MOFOs… and you thought Rent-A –Center were crooked as a dirt road. My advice: Buy a clothes line at the CVS next door and wash your clothes at home in the sink! In just 4 short months($ 500.00 latter) you can afford your own low end washer and dryer and be DONE with these people. I’m doing EVERYTHING I CAN from here on out to keep every quarter I can in MYPOCKET and out of theirs. I can’t be rid of them completely but I can cut back by at least 50% just by doing a few items in the sink each week. Panties, dish towels, undershirts, bed sheets etc are all very thin and will dry fast enough on a clothes line on the balcony. BTW… apparently the word is spreading fast about the new greedy régime. Last time I was there only 2 dryers out of 22 were being used and rows of washers sat empty. By the time I left, They had still 90 minutes left before closing and EVERY dryer was empty. Hopefully business will drop off and force these guys to lower prices or sell to someone else. I say good riddance. If they wanna check those cameras to see whose stealing from people, they just need to stand in front of them first.

This coin operated laundromat is next to the Safeway at the bottom of Moeser and San Pablo Ave in El Cerrito. They have a number of washers and dryers and a dry cleaning drop off site. They claim that their hours of operation are from 6:30am to 11:30 pm. I washed some of my clothes in a machine one Saturday evening at 10:00 pm and came back at 11:15 pm to find the doors locked. The next day I came back to get my clothes. I spoke to the attendant and complained about the fact that the employees were not honoring the hours of operation posted on the window. The attendant simply told me they can close up early if they wanted to. This is a terrible policy and I will not go to this place again.
