I am an ambassador for the American culinary Federation and I am a paying customer. I have been harassed at el cerrito California Denny’s numerous times for using their electric to charge my phone. I’m confused? Isn’t that what it’s for? I’m very disappointed. The service staff is nice enough but when someone pays isn’t it customary to be cordial to guests? Disappointed.

The waitress was awesome! Our food came out quick and she was on top of her stuff, but as we dined in I couldn’t help myself to notice the ceiling! They should of not been open for buisness, that was awful to see the ceiling leaking into tubs while I try and enjoy our breakfast! So ghetto!

Well, I know not to come during the darn church rush on Sundays! lol It’s cleaner and friendlier than the Emeryville one. Jose was a great waiter! He was prompt, quick to fill our drinks, and made sure we were okay. The food was good too! Pancakes, as always! heh Jose is totes gonna be our guy from now on! After waiting 35 minutes and our food no where to be seen, and being told«your food will be right out» too many times we decided that we no longer wanted to wait. When i finally caught the eye of one of the other servers(cause who knows where our server was) i asked if we could pay for our drinks and leave instead of her coming to help us she yells over the wall where the server station is «I’ll find your server»(The point was i didn’t want to wait for her either) at that point it was 48 minutes and i know this because right after i ordered my food i sent a text message to a friend. No one came to take our money so my husband being the nice person he is left 5 $ on the table for the drinks, even though they did not deserve our money. So very annoyed. The thing that makes me mad other than waiting was no one said sorry no one even batted an eye at a table walking away… When we walked out there was 8 other people not tables people in the restaurant… Never coming back

Never coming back to this place again. Denny’s is Denny’s so obviously it’s not about the food. The service is horrendous. I walked into a nearly empty restaurant on December 24th at 2pm. It took 5 mins for someone to even acknowledge us and get us seated. Then it took another 10 mins to get the server to take our orders. Then the water never came. After waiting for about 15 mins(by now, my kids are hungry AND thirsty), I managed to grab a lady who looked like the manager or at least a senior staff and complained. Then our original waitress returned with some water, muttering«Sorry, we are really busy today». What? The entire restaurant had 3 other occupied tables at the most. One server should have been able to handle that. They had at least 2 other waitresses in the place. A few more customers strolled in and from the looks of it, they basically got the same treatment. The waitress did add a 15% discount to our bill(without me asking) but still I am not coming back here. They need to seriously retrain their staff to actually do some work, instead of just standing around.

Im giving this Denny on star this time. We came in on a sunday evening and noticed there was a service dog sitting at the table sharing food with the handler. That is a direct violation! The dog is supposed to be laying on the floor or sitting under the table next to the owner. They allowed her dog to sit at the booth with the customers eating bacon from the table. And sniffing food from other people! I love dogs but not around my food and certainly not in a Resturant where he’s sitting side by side! We left immediately! Told the manger why we was leaving! Not to mention this is my regular spot!

The hostess Kiara is so sweet and deserves a raise! The manager is great with customer service. Don’t get me wrong, hella hood folks come in here. I don’t care, I often feel bad for the servers and hostesses by the way they’re treated! It is bordering on Richmond, where I was raised so I get it! I really enjoy coming here and I always request server Jose Luis, he is by far the best!!!

I walked in. Two others walked in 10 minutes after me and they got dotted first. Before they got sitted, another guy came in and he got served to. I was disappointed. It was 3 am and I drove from Pacifica And I Just drove Back home. The first time I was there they charged two other tables to my bill. They refunded the money afterwards. Still two times and two strikes. The second time I called them to lodge a complaint and they hung up on me. Very disappointing.

Such horrible service we were seated and we were waiting a very long we didn’t even get our drinks or anything. Then this super ratchet girl with a bad attitude comes and says she has to do more things first and she didn’t know we were her table. Umm what kind of excuse is that? I don’t know how she even got a job but I hope she reads this so she can know how bad her attitude and customer service was.

We came here on our way home. There’s another party of 2 came around the same time as us but left about 5 mins after.(they were sitting down for awhile without even got any water or taking order) the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. They do have enough servers but it’s way too slow. Took ahlwhile to get your order also another long wait for your food to come! While we were waiting our food we saw there’s two more tables people were waiting to get their orders as well… I don’t think they are short of staffs cause you can see other co-workers talking around, meanwhile we can smile something was burning. My husband joking around say they burn the pancake. When my food came… yes, my pancake were burn and taste bad. Out server was ok… at least not showing is bad attitude but just can’t believe how long it took to get our food after we ordered. Don’t come here if you are hungry, maybe you can come here if you just want to kill the time for nothing to do.

Not a good start: decaf coffee was not brewed, and the«fresh» pot smells burnt, and there were grounds floating in the cup. Also, they do not have a non-dairy creamer. What?! That’s crazy! I ordered my food just before 6:30; we’ll see how long it takes. The place is empty, and it’s prime pre-work breakfast time. There are two servers having a conversation so loud, I can clearly hear them across the restaurant. 6:42 — Food arrived, but there was butter on the pancakes, which I explicitly asked to be omitted. Coffee still smells and tastes suspicious. 6:46 — Pancakes come back. Homeless person seated across from me; their smell is very unappetizing. They could have been seated another booth over to avoid that. My ham slab is so overcooked that it really needs a steak knife to cut it. The hash browns came as I ordered: crispy, for the most part. As I type this, at just before 7am, she asked me if I need a box. I’m trucking through slowly because of this review, and turning this table isn’t going to increase any business. In fact, having me in the window, street-side would probably be good for business – certainly better than my odious neighbor! The pancakes were gritty; the toast was rubbery; the bacon was somewhere between flaccid and crispy. 7:17 — I’m ready to pay. 7:22 — «Are you ready?» Yeah, that was an educational experience…

Upon arrival the lobby was busy and the wait time was about 15 minutes on a Saturday. Our waiter a young man had a bad attitude like he didn’t want to be at work. While ordering the food the waiter argued back and forth with the way our food came out to be. Instead of trying to fix the problem. I don’t think I’ll come back I don’t have the patients.

I stopped in to grab a burger. Three servers stood around looking at me? I asked if they were open and then they became animated. I was given a menu and my server ran away? I had to hunt down the busboy for water. Then the server returned took my order and ran away again? I found him hiding in the coffee/beverage stand. I then got my food, great. The server never returned as I stood for 10 minutes waiting to pay? Finally another server asked if I was waiting to pay? I asked for the manager, and was told she was not on duty? Then another woman approached and claimed to be the manager? Sweet dumplings is this the state of sit down fast food? Never, ever, again will I attempt food at a Denny’s

This morning my family visited this establishment. The service was excellent but I was completely disgusted by a fly floating around in my coffee. When the manager was informed, she asked me what type of fly it was because apparently they have several varieties of flies in the restaurant. She wasn’t surprised and said that flying insects were the norm. She took 15% off the bill. We will not be returning.

This place has never been great, but I haven’t been here for a long time so I decided to give it a chance. I came with my aunt for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately, they failed to impress me on all fronts. Here are the top 3 reasons why you should NOT eat here: 1. Everything is sticky. The tables, the chairs, even the menus. I had to pry it open– you could hear the syrup peeling between the pages. 2. The service is slow and inconsiderate. I ordered the strawberry pancake puppies, but when they brought them out, they were regular. The waiter ends up telling us that they ran out of strawberry and they’re changing the menu soon so they havent restocked. It would have been nice to know that little detail before I ordered them. The waiter then proceeds to say he will see what he can do, but we dont see him again until he brings the check. 3. There is an iHOP across the street. Why not drive down the block and go there instead?

I give Denny’s 3 stars! 3 stars because even though our waiter was nice, the service and food could’ve been better. I’ve been at this Denny’s a couple times before, always been nice. Today was probably just off day here. We were seated all the way in the back, by the bathrooms where the sun was glaring at us, behind a group of people who were laughing every other minute. We started off with drinks, 1 Iced Tea and 3 waters. Unfortunately the term Iced Tea is very literal because the taste was so natural and bland, and the lemons and sugar packets didn’t help. Probably should’ve ordered the lemonade iced tea. We ordered our food all at once and I ordered the Lumberjack Slam, my sisters got the Double Cheeseburger and the Spicy Sriracha Burger with seasoned fries on both, and my mom got the Classic Chicken burger with seasoned fries as well. I was honestly disappointed when our food came but the server was nice to offer my sister free ice cream if she finished her plate. The reason why I was disappointed was our plate looked half empty, barely any eggs and any fries let alone they gave us the wrong fries. Instead of seasoned fries, they were regular fries. When the check came, the server still gave my sister the free ice cream and we left $ 5 tip for courtesy. Friendly environment but you can do better!
