Lovely restaurant with very nice ambience, our server was fantastic. She was extremely helpful with menu selections, and she was vey friendly and professional. Their menu goes on and on! It took a while to decide! Everything was absolutely delicious, including their specialty cocktails! We definitely will be returning!

We were looking for a restaurant that had good Mexican food, with a variety of other dishes. This was perfect! The Chicken Burrito was delicious and they didn’t mind leaving the beans out! The chicken salad was fresh and delicious. The chicken was warm and fresh grilled. The mixed greens were fresh and the mango and corn gave it a little sweet surprise! We were celebrating a Birthday and the home made Churro added to vanilla ice cream with Carmel was really spectacular and big enough to share. Our waiter Ryan, was attentive and very friendly. We will come back the next time we are traveling through El Dorado Hills!

Wow. Came in on Cinco De Mayo with my fiancé at 6:45pm. They were busy, but were able to squeeze us in almost immediately after telling the party of 4 in front of us that they had a 30 minute wait. It pays to be a small party! The servers were short with us but quick and friendly. It was crazy busy. The chips and salsa were really good! We also ordered margaritas that were amazing! The entrees were also really good. If I had a 5-star experience on a crazy busy day like cinco, I will definitely be back again!

Great place to eat in El Dorado Hills. The food is tasty and fresh, service is good. It seems like they might be going for upscale, but the dining room is nothing to get excited about. My favorites are the Chicken Ensenada from the lunch menu and from the dinner menu Tacos Chilangos and Brocheta. The bean dip is bland.

I spent part of my childhood in Texas and we moved here most recently from San Diego. So obviously, Im spoiled when it comes to mexican food. I prefer the deep bold flavors of tex mex to the«fresh» mex of so cal so already, cali mex is not high on my list of mexican food adaptations. However, the mexican food here in EDC really really sucks. It is worse then when I lived in Seattle. I gave cascada 3 stars because of the great service Ive always received. But I really didnt enjoy anything Ive gotten there.

Excellent food, professional and friendly wait staff — highly recommend this upscale venue for brunch or dinner. The menu has variety, and there is no skimping on the preparation of any item. From the salsa and tortilla soup through the entrees, everything was delicious, even in non-peak hours(like Sunday morning).

So pleased with our meal tonight. Our server Miranda was awesome. The chicken enchilada’s rancheros are amazing. Be sure to ask for your food to be delivered piping hot. Delicious!

Very decent place. The food is very good and the menu has a lot of interesting items. Staff is friendly. Ambiance is a little off(very open room), but it doesn’t really detract from experience. Love how this place is just down the street. Get the Brocheta!

Our first time here. I LOVE Mexican food. That being said, I thought the food could have been more authentic. My chicken burrito ranchero was decent flavor-wise. Small strips of chicken were a little«rubbery». My wife said that she really enjoyed her shrimp bowl(shrimp burrito without the tortilla). I was actually looking forward to the cilantro rice but when I tasted, it seemed as though it may have been yesterday’s rice. I asked for some hot sauce and the waitress brought out some house-made habanero sauce that was pretty damn good and kickin’! We had good and friendly service. All in all, if I were craving Mexican food and I happened to be in Eldo Hills at the time, I would probably give it another shot.

First time here. Went to the bar first for apps and some drinks. They just have taco’s on their happy hour menu and didn’t want those so we just went with chips and salsa which was very good. Comes with two different salsa’s and a bean dip. House margarita was very good. Moved to the dining room for dinner and had a couple appetizers. The Camerones de Felip was amazing. Dinner was also amazing and the staff overall was excellent and very friendly. Definitely will be back

Cascada had us from day one! Perfect service from Cassie in the dinning room to exceptional service from Nate at the bar! Our food is consistent and yummy everytime! Some of our favorite dishes are the Camarones Don Felipe, Brocheta, happy hour Basa tacos, and the tortilla soup is amazing. We love Cascada!

We eat here occasionally because it’s close, nice atmosphere and good food. I especially love the free appetizer they provide which includes chips and three types of dipping sauces. They will also refill the sauces for free upon request. On our latest visit, 2÷6÷2016 we decided to share the Lomo de Puerco. Pork medallions sautéed with mushrooms, shallots in a chipotle cream sauce and served with cilantro rice and black beans @ $ 16.95. It was delicious and easily fed both of us. We asked for an extra plate while ordering(didn’t ask for the order to be split) and they accommodated without charging an extra fee. Four stars instead of five because two tables were seated after us(larger parties) and our server, while she greeted us first(because the other parties had not yet arrived) proceeded to handle their drinks and get their dinner orders in before coming back to us and taking our order. She also never came back during the meal to ask us if everything was ok. The food made up for the poor service. We really weren’t in any great hurry but it was obvious she was playing up to the larger parties. If you go, I highly recommend Lomo de Puerco. It’s consistently good and you’ll receive a nice sized portion. Ya, I’ve ordered it a few times.

Decided to try this place for lunch based on the good Unilocal reviews. I was not disappointed. I thought $ 10 was a bit steep for a margarita but it was more than worth it with lots of tequila! I had the chicken tostada and thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken was very tasty! Liked the atmosphere overall– it was a bit fancy and pricey for a Mexican restaurant but it was El Dorado Hills so what do you expect?

Nice, with a few attempts at non-Mexican American Mexican food: you know, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, etc. My wife’s Chicken San Marcos was dry. My Mexican pasta was interesting, lots of heavy cream, but in the last year I’ve never quite found the spark to return to Cascada and order it again. That must say something, as I drive past the place almost every day. The American Mexican selections are dutifully boring.

This is a 5 star rating because of Nate. Best carnita nachos we’ve ever had. Nate makes killer Maggie’s. Our regular hangout.

Décor: Glorified cafeteria comes to mind. Service: «How about some dessert?» asks our waitress. «No, thank you. I’d love some more water though,» I say. Ten minutes later she places the check next to my still-empty glass. Another five minutes goes by and our waitress hasn’t come back to take our credit card. I take a sip of my husband’s water and we walk toward the front of restaurant. Waitress intercepts us and says she’s sorry, that she was trying to get her stocking done. Food: Salsa is pretty good. Complimentary bean dip is bland. Chips are stale then fresh, stale then fresh, like they mix new chips with old and throw them in the basket. The chile relleno entrée was just ok: lots of cheese in the chile, which made me feel like I would choke if I didn’t chew 44 times with each bite. Cilantro rice tasted like Rice-a-roni with cilantro mixed in. Black beans had a nice smoky flavor. On the drive home I developed an intense headache, like I just ate a bucket of salt and MSG. I was hoping I’d like this place as I haven’t had much luck with other Mexican restaurants in EDH. Any suggestions?

Had a delicious dinner here tonight with amazing service from Robert. He was super helpful and gave us recommendations based on his favorite foods. They also have cheeseburgers, sandwiches and other options for the picky eater. Not only that but our chips never ran out and neither did our drinks. The staff seems to work really well together and help each other out as a team and the busboy made sure we never ran out of water. Bathrooms are clean too. Will definitely eat here again!

I would neither recommend nor go back. Atmosphere was weird — very 1994 and not remotely Mexican-feeling. Food was unimpressive at best. Service was … conflicting. Our server was very nice, but despite being literally the only table in our entire section of the restaurant, the only person who stopped by after our food was delivered appeared to be a busser/server’s helper, asking if we wanted drink refills(once). We sat for about 5 min after we finished eating … just looking around for anyone we could ask about getting the bill. Atmosphere, food, service: Nope, nope, nope.

I came here last night for the first time with my boyfriend and this place is AMAZING! We ate at the bar, and had a wonderful time. We started off with drinks and appetizers. There is a large selection of drinks to choose from, as well as house specialty cocktails. The appetizer we started off with was the Camarones Don Felipe, and it was fantastic! Just the perfect spicy starter and the sauce that goes with them is superb. After that I had the Camarones a la Crema. The flavor was spot on, and the veggies were cooked perfectly. my boyfriend had the Pollo San Marcos, which was great! All the flavors of these dishes blended together and complimented each other perfectly. We finished off our meal with the churros which were delicious. Service was fast and friendly, and the ambience was welcoming and classy. the noise level was pretty low, especially for a 6:30 dinner rush time! I loved everything about this place, and will definately be returning here soon!
