Great place for noodles. Wallk in and pay first then grab a bowl, add what veggies and meat you want to eat with your noodles, walk to end of the buffet style set up and they cook it in front of you. Place is clean and we liked it both times.

This is your run-of-the-mill mongolian bbq place. You get ingredients, hand it off to a person to cook, and you watch them cook it around this large metal plate. Here are some suggestions for first timers: pack in as much meat as possible, as most of its frozen form is air. Proceed with vegetables, then put a quarter of the amount of noodles you expected to eat(noodles are deceptive). You then proceed to douse this concoction with soy sauce, bbq sauce, garlic, etc, then hand it over. You’ll then get a very hearty ratio of meat: veggies:noodles

The food was good, but the staff is not organized and not professional. They need to work on their communication and organized skills. Atleast it seem like a clean restaurant.

I have eaten here on several occasions, and the only reason why I go back is because of location. It’s your standard Mongolian BBQ establishment, but I have had better. For example, they only provide ginger juice instead of freshly grated ginger. I think that this is on the cheap side. Asian cuisine uses ginger quite often. They provide freshly minced garlic, so I think they can spring for some freshly grated ginger to compliment the Asian sauces. The accompaniments to the dinner: first of all… what is that rice? Is it supposed to be fried rice? Or plain rice? Because it sucks. It’s not seasoned to be fried rice, but has peas in it and it’s greasy. I think plain white rice would be better. Do one or the other, but not that weak presentation of greasy rice with peas. The soup. What is that? Is it supposed to be egg-drop soup or what? The same old peas that are in the rice-thingy is in the soup-thingy. It is very bland too. The eggroll. Not everyone gets an eggroll, at least this is what I observed. The table next to us got it and no one else, including us. WTF. They are lucky that there is nothing like this around EDH and because of this they are popular as evidenced by the line. It could be so much better. *sigh*

My wife and I came here about three weeks ago on a rainy afternoon before going to the movies, and neither of us thought it was anything that special. Usually, when we’re in the area, we got to Selland’s down the street, which is delicious and highly recommended. However, it was raining pretty good that day, and neither of us felt like walking such a long distance in the rain with no umbrella. So we saw this place, and decided why not? Usually, if we want Mongolian BBQ, we hit up this place in Folsom that’s awesome. It’s one of our favorite places to go, and we always leave there satisfied. We figured if this place was anything like our favorite BBQ spot in Folsom, it would be worth it. So we walk in around noon, and the place is almost completely empty. Maybe it’s because people don’t like it, maybe it’s because it’s pouring rain out and people would rather order pizza and watch Netflix… who knows. So anyway, I was really hungry. Now at the place we go to in Folsom, it’s all you can eat. So I guess we figured it was the same way here as well. Wrong. The dinner is all you can eat, but the lunch isn’t. This made no sense to us. If someone wants all they can eat for lunch, and is willing to pay for it, why deny them? I would have been more than willing to pay the extra price for dinner if it meant I could eat more than one bowl. So we end up ordering two lunches, and I ordered a beer as well. The options here were alright, expect for one thing that really bugged me. Where are the seafood options? No shrimp or squid? That sucks. The vegetables were plentiful though, and the meat was okay(except they didn’t have any lamb). However, none of the options looked(or tasted) especially fresh. It was almost as if they had packed up everything that didn’t get eaten for dinner the night before and put it out for lunch the next day. So by the time we got back to the table with our bowls, my beer was already on the table… and it was room temperature… because nothing goes better with mediocre Mongolian BBQ than a beer that tastes like it was thrown in the refrigerator for five minutes before it was served to you. So we ate and watched the rain. And to be fair, it wasn’t THAT bad. But it was far below the standards of what we’re used to when we eat Mongolian BBQ. Now I can’t remember exactly what I paid for lunch, but I want to say it was around $ 7 per person, which we thought was a pretty good deal. The meal also included rice and a bowl of hot and sour soup. My wife didn’t like her soup, so I ended up eating both. It was kinda bland, but I didn’t want to waste food so I gulped it down. Overall though, we probably will just stick to Selland’s in the future. We mostly just came here out of convenience, but I wouldn’t mind paying a little more for better, fresher options. If you left here disappointed, but still want to give Mongolian BBQ another shot though, head over to Chang’s in Folsom. You won’t leave there discontent or hungry.

Called 4 times to ask if they served gluten free noodles… NOONE answered the phone… So I decided that I would go in store and I wasn’t greeted. The two women working were sitting down together at the table and neither of them spoke English. There was not a worker, manager or employee there that could speak a lick of English. Rude!!! NEVERGOINGBACK. Btw, no gf noodles I assume

One of the best, cleanest Mongolian BBQ’s I have ever been too. The food tastes amazing and fresh. The restaurant is very clean and well cared for. The prices are very reasonable. The only thing is you can’t take any leftovers home. Maybe bring your own Tupperware? Haha. Highly recommend!

Pros: One of my favorite places ever. High quality Mongolian BBQ is extremely difficult to find. This is one of them. They’re immaculately clean, use fresh ingredients, and are very polite. On top of that, their food is fantastic. Cons: In the future, it would be convenient if they offered to let you take home your leftovers. I understand they’re afraid of people abusing that system, but hopefully they can just make it so you can’t take leftovers if you dish an extra bowl just for that. The leftovers thing aside, this place is great. Highly recommended.

Strange place… Staff is very negative here. Came in for lunch with my wife. The lady was barely awake who greeted us. I said two for lunch. They had a sign saying no leftovers can go home for lunch. I said that must be a mistake because you only get one trip thru the line for lunch. Dinner is all u can eat. Why would they mind if I told home for lunch what I couldn’t eat? I’ve already paid for it. She shook her head vehemently… No taking anything home!!! Crazy policy but whatever… She was super nasty. For the record, when I arrived with my bowl to the end where they put it on that round grill, no one was around… After five minutes, these two super old guys came out and grabbed my bowl to grill it. They looked at me like I was a criminal… Nasty people… I would be lying if I said the food was lousy because it actually was pretty tasty… So. Mixed bag here… lousy attitudes but good food…

Food is awesome(only reason for 3 stars), actually it is the best Mongolian i have found. BUT the service is HORRIBLE! NOT customer oriented! I went in for lunch and you are only allowed ONE bowl, which is more than enough for me, in fact it is too much so I asked to take it home. They said they don’t do that. ??? I paid for my food and if i want to take my ONE bowl home then I am going to! after pulling teeth they finally allowed me to but not after a big scene! I will say that there is ONE guy there who is usually at the front cashier and he is so nice but the rest of them look like they would rather you not be there.

This is my go to quick healthy meal place! I love their freshness and love the thinly sliced meat. The owner always greet you with smiles and I love to make my own bowl and sauces. Been coming here for years and have recommended this restaurant to many friends! Dinner is all you can eat and I usually make 2 big bowls of veggies! So yummy!

Not a fan. We went for lunch and the food was decent(no better than the Mongolian place at the mall) but the staff was incredibly rude. My dining partner asked for a to-go box she was very rudely and shortly told that they did not give to-go boxes. Since we were there for lunch it was only a one go through why not give to-go boxes? I see not giving them for dinner since it’s all you can eat, but not giving them for lunch? The staff was rude and short our whole visit. Did not make us feel welcome at all, and we will not be back.

We have eaten here many times. The food is usually decent as is the price. Tonight everything appears the same until we start eating and realize our food tastes burnt, indelibly burnt. We look at grill and it is horribly dirty. We then try and find someone there that will talk to us, and speaks English, this was appearing to be an impossible task. After 10 minutes we finally find someone that will talk to us and appears to understand the issue, apparently not. We explain we could not eat the food, they offered no refund or resolution. By now the line was to the door, we were not going to wait to the line yet again only for more burned food. Nobody there gave a crap at all. So we walked out, wasting our dinner and the money. We will never return, simple. Your entire job is to cook a bowl of food on a large hot metal disk, it is also your job to keep it clean. It probably had the burnt remains of the 200 bowls before it. Cooker-dude fail.

We are regulars here and find their veggies fresher and the restaurant cleaner and brighter than the one the Mong BBQ place in Folsom. The cooks don’t smile but that seems to be the norm so I’m not going to ding them for that. With that said I have to knock of a star because they don’t give out to-go boxes during lunch. I understand not giving them out for dinner when it is all you can eat but at lunch you can only go through once. Next time we will bring a tupperware or order a to-go box for my daughter who sometimes doesn’t finish her food. I think it is a waste of food by not allowing people who paid full price for lunch to take leftovers home.

Not taking leftovers home for an all you can eat dinner is very normal! People need to stop complaining about that! If you’re wasting food then you shouldn’t have gotten more food than you can eat! This place is very yummy and every time I go in, the man at the front is so friendly and nice! Don’t listen to the reviews from people that don’t know how to read and get mad when they don’t get to be the exception to the rule!

On the fence with this place. On one hand, pretty decent food and affordable vs other restaraunts i the area for lunch. On the other hand… sticky tables, rude staff and no to-go bowls. The first time i went here, I handed the lady my card to pay for my bowl and she said«NOTACCEPTED». I asked her what they take and she just pointed at the door and wouldnt answer me. Im sure she was pointing at the sign on the door somewhere, but the door looks like a bulletin board. Just tell me «Visa» you dummy. Today I had lunch here, and i usually go here once every week or two. I wasnt feeling that hungry today, so i only ate half of my bowl. After asking for a to-go bowl, they dont OFFER a to go bowl unless you order a to-go bowl… Its the same amount of food whether you say here or to go. but if you order to go, you can take your leftovers in a to go box. I dont understand the logic. Most places will have a 1 bowl max, but let you take your leftovers. This place has a 1 bowl max but wont let you take left overs unless you order to go. So why not just get the«to go» bowl. that way if you dont finish, nothing is wasted. I appreciate this guy trying to be forward thinking and business savvy. but hes going about it all wrong. If i order for«here» and dont finish and get a to go bowl, the same amount of food is leaving the restauraunt as if i order a to-go bowl. everything is the same. frustrating and wasteful.

The reason I give this place two stars is not because of the quality of the food(which I would give more like 4 stars), but because I am blown away by the incredible WASTE of food!!! I’ve gone before to dinner here, which is all you can eat. I don’t eat a lot in one sitting, so when I’ve asked before if I could take the remainder of my first bowl home with me, they said«NO! No taking home leftovers.» Ok, that at least makes some sense… people could definitely take advantage, taking food home from an all-you-can-eat meal. I get that. But then next time we’re there, it’s lunch time. You pay per bowl at lunch time. So I bought a bowl, and as usual, couldn’t finish all of it. It would make a great supper for me later, so I go ask for a to-go box. Yet again, I get a very rude«No, no taking home any leftovers!». WHAT?! I paid for one bowl of food, so WHY on earth would I not get to take the food I paid for with me!!! Instead, they are just going to throw it away! And then you sit there and think, this is a busy place, how many other people are forced to throw away their leftovers every day, rather than eat them later? I can bet you that an incredible amount of food is thrown away every single day… and I can’t figure out what the reasoning is!!! This is just so frustrating to me… I get upset every time I think about it. The people working there have never smiled at me or been friendly. Which is another con. The reason I give this two stars, is because my boyfriend really loves their food.(I’m not a huge fan of Mongolian food, but I’ll agree, this place doesn’t taste half bad.) When we visit El Dorado Hills, he always loves coming here. For him, the all-you-can-eat pricing is great, since he eats a lot. Also, it’s in a cute area. So there are some good things about this place, and I’m sure we’ll be back(we don’t have good Mongolian where we live). But I just really wish they’d change their policy of taking home leftovers.(Or, if they can’t bring themselves to do that, then they should offer a smaller bowl size so not as much food gets wasted!)

We’ve never had a bad meal here. However, if you do, you’ve no one to blame but yourself since you create your own bowl. They supply all the ingredients, a selection of meat choices and a wide variety of veggies and sauces. I like to fill my bowl to the top, smash-it-down, and then fill some more, then create a spicy sauce. The line is always well stocked and kept clean. After the cooks do-their-thing, you are served some soup, egg rolls, and wonton. Those additions rate«just-OK», so for me, it’s all about the«sizzling fresh bowl of goodness». One word of caution, «don’t even think about asking for a «to-go» box for any leftovers, they will«flip-out». I’ve seen it happen, and it’s hilarious ! So just stuff-you-face while you’re there and enjoy. We do, quite often.
