Our country house was surrounded by 2400+ sq. feet of the ugliest exposed aggregate patios and walks that can be imagined. We lived with it for over 20 years thinking that nothing could be done. We decided — at last — to look for solutions. We didn’t want our concrete to look new but we wanted it pleasant to look at, comfortable to walk on barefoot — with character. Matt came out and advised us as to our options: we went with the lowest cost for most and a higher end option for the area in front of the house. In short: the people at Prep Concrete are Miracle Workers! Our concrete is actually attractive now and we look forward to enjoying it this summer! I find myself asking friends if they need any concrete restoration because Prep Concrete’s work is so good, and it is a pleasure to recommend a company with their work ethic and commitment to excellence. We were very favorably impressed by the quality of the employees and note that many have been with Matt for years. They were clean, neat, focused and took responsibility for the end result. The firm did exactly what they said they would, and within the timeframe promised. You will not make a mistake if you call Matt at Prep Concrete.

Had to change our initial review after the stain looked horrific before the the first year elapsed. We called Matt repeatedly and he blamed us for choosing the wrong sealant, getting water on the band, and asked us if we had swam in the pool thus causing the a white, flakey blemish all over the band surrounding the pool– never mind the brush marks that are so ridiculously apparent. It’s obvious to anyone the stain wasn’t applied properly(his employee applied the stain from INSIDETHEPOOL), because it was obvious that water had saturated the stain only around the band. For over one year we were told«I’m double-booked,» «I’m injured.» Matt also became angered because he said«I was questioning his integrity.» How do you double-book repeatedly when you know you’re work looked horrible and you’ve put someone off for over a year when you told them you would fix the issue– for more money. Customer follow-up is of utmost importance when you don’t get the job done properly. I even referred another client to him which he gladly did the work for, yet still didn’t follow through with us after one year.

I hired Matt to do a sleek and modern hearth for our 50’s style ranch. He is a perfectionist and came through with a 5/8-inch beauty that unfortunately cracked. To his credit, he came out, redid the hearth and brought a much thicker beautiful one to install that was sprinkled from top to bottom with mother-of-pearl and double-sided glass fragments. He and his brother came and spent the better part of a full day installing the new hearth. And he charged me beyond fair and reasonable. I would hire him for any other concrete job in a heartbeat! While I had to be patient for my second hearth, it was well worth it. Not only does he work hard, he is honest and communicative and DOES A BEAUTIFULJOB! HIRETHISGUYHANDSDOWN!
