Parking: in a large plaza right across the street from in n out The staff there is super friendly. The place is a bit older but it serves the purpose of being a place to bowl and have a good time. They have a restaurant near the entrance for you to order food and drinks. There are also other restaurants in the plaza. Great location if you want to bowl and eat at the same time. There aren’t that many seating area per lane. It cost around four bucks for shoe rental. You should call to ask about the rates since it varies weekday and weekend and times of the day. But my friends say it is fairly priced

This review is mainly for the Pro Shop. Save your money and go somewhere else! They’re INCREDIBLY over priced. The gentlemen who runs the shop is very eager to earn your business but he tends to talk over you. He also has a pretty thick accent which can make communication with him very difficult. When there are several customers in the shop, he appears flustered and rushed. When drilling my ball, he was very quick to take my finger sizes and promised 30 mins to have it done. I was excited for the quick turn around and tried to look past the $ 65 I spent to have the ball drilled. However, upon picking up the ball and immediately bowling with it, the inserts were waaaaay too tight. I took the ball back to him for larger inserts and he charged me another $ 6 to switch them out… then after realizing those too were too tight, he was clearly annoyed and felt as though I was attacking him when I was not… I simply needed help finding the correct sizes. He thought he was doing me a favor by not charging me another $ 6 on a already over priced purchase. If it weren’t for the bowling alley specials, I would definitely avoid this place all together. What a rip off!

Prices are fair… Not too expensive… Lady at the register had somewhat of an attitude when I asked about getting two lanes instead of one Lane. RESTROOMS are dirty, the food was not great at all. Was a bit disappointed. THE Bowling itself was fun, my family had a good time, our scoreboard however did freeze a couple times and we had to notify the front desk.. But it’s to be expect the place is a really old and outdated. I Bowl on a regular basis. This isn’t the place for your weekly spot go train or bowl in my personal experience. But definitely would be a great spot to bring family n kids to bowl, they’ll have fun either way.

I was here recently for $ 1 games, from midnight til closing in Saturday evenings. A group of at least 1 dozen of us came here after having had dinner at the Anaheim Packing District in celebration of our friend’s bday. Anyway, the lanes and the surrounding sitting areas were all very clean. It was amazing at how the walk was great! I know it sounds so silly to praise a place like this, because believe me, you won’t find another one open that takes care of their floors as well as Action. $ 1 games are more than worth it. check it out! The only strange thing that I didn’t care for too much was that their custodial personnel could see you from just beyond the bathroom wall as you enter/leave. I know it may just be me but that really irked me! Their food is good and their drinks are filable. Perfect!!! They have more than enough parking in their adjacent lot, complimentary parking.

Oh man… i don’t like giving a 1 star review unless i really feel it deserves one. But this place deserves less than a 1 star! Where do I begin? I called on Thursday to see about a team build and inquired about booking a lane or two for about 9 people including 3 kids on Friday around 7:00. I was told they wouldn’t book the lane for a group under 10 people but that I could walk in and and have no issue. My group and I showed up around 6:30 to make sure we would be able to get the lanes. We spoke to a young lady at the service desk and while inquiring about the prices of HR vs Games we were quoted and once we got to paying she advised we would need to be done by 8:30 because they had a tournament going on. When I informed her I had called the previous day and was told of no such thing she had no response. Had that been the case I would’ve understood as this is common and would’ve just gone elsewhere. She gave me this look like WHATDOYOUWANTMETODO?!? When I asked if the tournament would take all lanes she answered no, so then I asked… so then why do we need to be done by 8:30? She said«you can stay longer». My group and I looked at each other like WTF?! We only stayed because we had kids and they don’t understand the incompetence of the bowling alley employees and just wanted to bowl. Then when she noticed the kids she asked if we needed bumpers, I replied with yes… and guess what? She said«we don’t have bumpers right now.» When I asked when would they have them?(mind you we were the ONLY ones in that place at the time) she replied– in 20min. So we decided to stick around and wait and play at the arcades. We then asked about the food place — doesn’t open until 7:40, we asked about the Bar-doesn’t open until 7:30 — 7:40 :/ So we wait…7:40 finally the open sign goes up. But the door is locked! The guys says we’re not open yet :/ We come back 15m later and boom it’s OPEN for business. We start to order and ask for a Pizza… guess what?! Come on… guess! «We don’t have pizza right now». :/ Ok …so we order 3 appetizer platters… due to all the going back and forth, the HORRIBLE customer service and 3 hungry kids… I somehow had overlooked something that would gross anyone out ordering food.(I’ll come back to this) we pay, i look around and the guy taking the order is ALSO the cook. We walk out and I ask one of my boys… Hey, was that guy also the cook? He replied Yes… and we both say… Didn’t that guy have WARTS all over his hands?!! EWWWW!!! EFFF that!!! We run back cancel out order and get our cash back! We go tell the Bowling lanes manager about the WARTS and she makes a gross face and has nothing to say! EFFFINGROSSMAN!!! Never going back to this place again! Worst service ever! Horrible staff and a cook with WARTSALLOVERHISHANDS!!! STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE!!!

Koori snack bar has one of the nicest staff I’ve ever encountered. Food is delicious and on top of that, the service is spectacular. While I was bowling, the cook at Koori called up my order, but I keep forgetting because I was enjoying bowling with my friends. Next thing you know, the cook brings out the food to me and told me that since I’ve hadn’t come to pick up the food, he took the initiative to deliver the food to me so I can continue enjoying my bowling without any delayed interruption. I’ve tipped the cook not just for his excellent craft in cooking my dish, but more so, for bringing me the food when he didn’t have to do so. This cook not only created excellent food, but his above and beyond service is what made me gave Koori 5 stars!!! On the other hand, I feel that it’s a shame some people review are bias and are nowhere near oriented in the actual taste of the food when trying to review about Koori. We, as Unilocal reviewers, should focus on what we stated and follow through and NOT interject claims that have no back story or no follow through as to why you like or dislike. Any form of dislike or like will NOT do any business justice unless you provide support to any claims being made. Moreover, it is absolutely narcissistic for anyone to state such serious comments, or near such serious comments, such as «useless staff» when such commets should be discredited as part of a review because it’s NOT considered a review and more like a hate speech. Let’s work together!!!

I really hate to rate a business a 1 star but this place really earned it. Useless staff disgusting food, cook had warts all over his hands and once we brought it to the supervisor they just ignored it. I’m really surprised this place is open for business. This place needs a health inspection. Bad customer service! Avoid this bowling alley!

Used to come here all the time with my friends but we’ve(sadly) taken a hiatus from bowling because of school and all that. Pros: 1 free game a day for students Student pricing Extremely fair prices in comparison to the competitors around the SGV Usually there are lots of lanes open Diverse crowd Plenty of parking Pretty well maintained Cons: Can’t really think of any cons Overall: I’ve only been to a few bowling alleys but Action Lanes is definitely my favorite. It may not be the most modern with all the whole do it yourself system, but it gets the job done. Solid 4 stars for nostalgia.

I’ve bowled here many times, great place to bowl. I’m currently bowling in their Tuesday evening league. The lanes are well maintained, the staff is friendly. Definitely recommend this place.

Not bad, not great. It’s an older place you can tell, but the prices aren’t bad. It was $ 13/person for two hours of bowling with shoes included on Sunday. The restrooms are filthy though and I would avoid at all cost. This is located in a pretty dead plaza in El Monte and it was a humid day when we went, but they didn’t have the AC on. Just some fans. I mean, you can bowl fine and the prices aren’t too expensive but just know it’s pretty old and a little run down and the restrooms, omg.

If you’re looking for a place to bowl without the fanciness and gimmicks of other bowling places, then this is where you. It has over 30 lanes. You need to pick the right time to go because it can busy with the leagues and groups. Action Lanes is in plaza that has so many good options. So you can bowl before or after you eat. Or both if you’re really hungry. I went on a Tuesday night and their special was $ 2.50 per game and $ 3.50 for shoes. Not a bad deal at all! If you’re looking to perfect your bowling skills, this is the place to go. If you want fancy bowling with the lights and food, try round 1 or 300.

I came here for dollar bowl games on a Sunday morning! The special runs from early morning till 1pm I believe. If it gets packed, make sure to put your name on the waitlist. This place is pretty good with large parking. If you’re looking for a fun activity on a Sunday morning, bowling is the way to go! Make sure to bring your own shoes or rent some!

I’ve recently gotten very into bowling and its been a blast. Have now properly accessorized myself with my own ball and shoes :) We’ve tried quite a few different alleys and although there is one literally half a mile from our house we CHOOSE to come to this one consistently. The staff is super friendly and is always helpful. The prices are much better than most places with different deals throughout the week. Also they have karaōke on some nights. I’d say the biggest«downside» is they don’t have an overpriced snack bar, but vending machines instead, which I’m really not complaining about! THEBIGPLUSES: They play good music, decent bar, clean lanes, lots of fun!!!

This is my Girl Scout Troop’s second holiday bowling party and our last. Last year was great. This year was horrific. The«Bowling & pizza party package» is $ 17.95 per person includes 2 games of bowling, shoe rental, 2 slices of pizza and drinks. FOOD: Food comes from the snack bar. Girl bringing food was not very competent. Brought 7 pitchers of drinks first, then brought 4 pans of pizza one at a time with 5 minutes in between. Chips and salsa came last. I had to ask about plates, napkins and cups. Then she asked, «You want cups, too?» In 20 minutes, she forgot she brought 7 pitchers of drinks. Pizza is terrible. Very hard, very thin and 30% crust. Found hair in pizza and wouldn’t replace food. Salsa was watered down, literally. ROOM 2⁄3 the lights were not functioning. Ceiling tiles were broken and crumbled. Insulation was exposed and apparent mold shown.(Pictures to prove) Bowling alley bookkeeper kept coming in and out of the party room to the back office without a word or an «excuse me». Also bowling leaguers came in and out to use lockers. All this going on during our party. I have filed a report to the Department of Public Health.

This is a nice little bowling alley, hidden away in the strip mall on lower Azusa. i’m sure I have driven by here hundreds of times, and never really noticed that there were two dozen lanes here. My son, who like us, had the day off from school, really wanted to go bowling today. I did not have it in me to brave downtown Arcadia, or worse, head to Hastings Ranch. As a bonus, they have $ 2 bowling all day on Tuesdays. We bowled two games with shoes for 14 bucks… Not a bad deal. Unlike many other bowling alleys, which require you to run the game and enter your information at your seat, they take care of everything here at the front desk. They even programmed it so that I could bowl without bumpers, and my son could bowl is frames with the bumpers block in the gutters. I don’t know if this is standard or not, but it was automatic depending on who’s turn was up… And I really appreciated it. The bar, and many of the video games were blacked out. There also seem to be some kind of a tournament going on on the north side of the building. But for the price, and the convenience, you can’t beat this place. We will definitely be back.

I came here for the first time with my little one and my friend. We came on a Sunday evening and paid $ 12 to bowl for two hours and it included the shoes. There are about 32 lanes(if I counted correctly), they have a bar, video games, vending machines, lockers, and a party room. After bowling for an hour we got hungry and ordered food. We got Pork Gyoza, Hamburger, Garlic Fries, Iced Green Tea and Thai Ice Tea. :Experience: I like how the bowling balls are neatly organized according to the weight and how the bumpers automatically come up when it’s my daughters turn to play. :Drinks: The Thai Ice Tea didn’t taste good and the Iced Green Tea was just«ok». :Food: The Pork Gyoza was crispy and it came with a spicy sauce. I took a bite of the hamburger and it was very dry. We could taste the garlic flavor on the Garlic Fries but we were disappointed because it was cold. ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) :Rating: I know people don’t really come to the bowling alley to eat but since we ate, 2 stars for the food and 3.5 stars for the bowling alley. :Tip: If you need a light ball ask the front desk and they will give you a six pound ball. :M’s Notes: The early bird gets all the best deals. $ 1 games every Sunday morning.
