Golden Dumpling House

Never dined in, only ordered take-​out 3 times so far and I’ve had solid experiences with this restaurant’s delivery orders. Let me tell you the quick con before I mention the good stuff:
Cons:
–You have to call in after you place the order on Eat24. From my experience, they’re not on the highest alert when it comes to online food orders. Not only that but they don’t speak well enough English to place an order over the phone.
— They’re customer experience over the phone is lacking too. Sometimes I get a hello, but other times I get a «hm?». That’s the great customer experience for someone who wants to give you money. I’d like to know I’m calling the right restaurant so at least mention Golden Dumpling House (doesn’t even have to be in that order*) so I know I called the right place.
Pros:
-$ 10 minimum order for delivery. That’s pretty awesome, especially since the variety of delivery restaurants in the area is asking for upwards of $ 35 bucks. Makes sense if you’re ordering for a family, but I don’t own a family.
— Great tasty food for the price.
Recommendation:
They’re tofu onion, beef noodle soup, and pork+chive+shrimp dumplings are delicious. Not Din Tai Fung delicious, but it meets me at a satisfying medium. 7.5÷10
This place is underrated (literally). Hope it doesn’t go outta business with it’s low exposure.

Don’t know why Unilocal put my review of Golden Dumpling House under the former unrelated restaurant that closed months ago, but here we go again. While I’m sad to see the predecessor Hot Pot Buffet and its AYCE conveyor belt go, I’m always glad to see a new dumpling house open up, especially if it’s as good as Golden Dumpling House. Fish dumplings are nearly as good as my gold standard. Qingdao Bread Food, though they’re completely different from Qingdao’s. A bit pricey though at $ 8 for a dozen medium sized dumplings, with a surcharge for pan fry. Also frozen dumplings available in bags of 50 (though they were out of stock both times I stopped by for some).
