Silver Dollar Saloon

This place is terrific. Mike and Donna are fantastic and so very friendly. The beer is the coldest and there is a variety of beers that I enjoy. Great place to hang out… and feel comfortable. There are no strangers at the Silver Dollar.

It is not the first time I come … but if the first time is the worst service … do not pay attention to the worst

Yesterday was my very first time, even though I’ve driven by the bar since 1980… I met the owners Mike & Donna, and a very pretty bartender Candace who made me feel very welcome. Although I live in south Rosemead, I WILL be back down the pike. They made me feel welcome, as if I were a reg. Mike & Donna have a good place! It’s old skool with a retro jukebox… i was comfy there! :)

OMG! I left the area for a tour over seas and came back expecting to find some familiar faces at favorite haunts only to be floored to see strangers! Where is Stuart? Where is that other cool chick who worked days, I know Friday was her day for sure, (damn what was her name?) redish brown hair, pretty, fit, tall, really fun and funny chick, man. she had a style all her own. I always left there with a smile on my face when she was bartending! When I was told the new owners REPLACED her I was so bummed I turned around and left. Why did Gerry split and sell the place to these dweebs who I heard from regulars sit around and drink their profits all day? Man, I was really looking forward to coming back here, tossing a few cold ones, maybe try something new (they had started to carry some craft beers last year when that other chick was there, but not so much now), pull some good tunes off the juke and listen to the bartender make things fun. This time when I went in there and the joint was D-​E-​A-​D! They gave it a facelift, sure, but cut out the heart, man, the most important part! Bad idea…

A friend of mine invited me to this bar to check out a drink I had never had — a Michelada. I have had a romance with this place ever since. The music in the juke is great, the people are friendly and it is totally chill kick-​back. The owners are down to earth kind folks who care about their patrons, yet are professional and know their business. There is a large selection of affordable cold, tasty beers — and Micheladas made to your specifications. I am not a dart or pool playing person — but I have had a great time otherwise socializing. Great homey place.

Hole in da wall local beer joint, they give u nice frosted glasses, pints and pitchers. Not too sure how clean they are. For Nicotine addicts, u can smoke ur cigs with an astray. They have one 8×4 pool table and 4 electronic dart boards

This is my American Poolplayers Association (APA) home. Table is nice and games are pretty cheap. People are very cool. No food and small selection of soda.

Yes the best stuff, and while I was there I noticed that the entire place is being remodeled even the outside has been given a face lift.
Also there is no more smoking! so CHEERS!!! Damn those CHELADAS were good!

Awesome little dive bar. Good beers for a good price! Friendly bar staff! New owners are very nice and you can tell they really care about their customers. Plenty of seating and darts and a pool table. If you’re looking for the perfect dive bar, check out this place. You won’t be disappointed.

What a great bar to chill at, if you don’t mind the smoke, than you will be fine, because this place has a bunch of smokers smoking, so you are warned!
Great prices on their beers and pitchers and they got DARTS!!! Yep, and not any old fashion darts, but they got machine ones where you can challenge foes to one of their games, or just chill at the bar and watch the game… OR get schooled in pool by one of the regulars. A game of Darts is 50 cents, I am not sure how much it is to play pool but both pool and darts are machine operated, so think of it like an arcade machine where you enter quarters. I came here and played darts with my friends cool looking ones, you’ll probably have to ask the bartender the process, not sure if they supply their own, or you have to bring your own.
Everyone in here is really friendly, which is dope, someone is bound to strike up a conversation with you and get you involved in one of the games.

Went in there Saturday night… The smoking stench gets you right when you walk into the door. There are signs everywhere saying no smoking but half the patrons were smoking inside the bar, which means the signs are just for show. They had dark boards, but had a tournament going on a Saturday night. My friends and I just couldn’t stand the smell and left without finishing our beers.

AmberBock and darts. Juan is awesome, gives great advice on your dart game. 5 electric dart boards. Pitchers are super cheap here. No food but they can order pizza for you. There is smoking allowed inside but is well ventilated. Pool table, few touch screen games, couple of TVs and a juke box. Great little dive bar.

The friendly bartenders and cheap drafts keep me coming back to this beer-​only dive bar. It’s a dart bar with one pool table. Parking lot is small, so you may have to park on the crowded street just to the east. No food, but they will help you order a pizza.

Total dive bar — and I mean that in the nicest way possible.
My friends and I were planning to go bowling at Action Lanes down the street but we had about 1 hour to kill before any lanes opened up and Silver Dollar Saloon was the closest bar. So we wandered on over.
Keep in mind, this was a Wednesday night but the place wasn’t completely empty or packed. They have 1 pool table (which we snagged) and several dartboards and TVs. The bartender was really nice and we all ordered beers (which are served in HUGE steins!)
We played 2 games of pool and everyone helped us out and gave us advice on tricky shots. All in all, not a bad place to kill some time :)

Nice dive bar. If you don’t like the smell of cigarette smoke, avoid this place. Otherwise its great.

Awesome bar! Really what a bar should be like, inexpensive beer, pool table, darts, and sports games. Heineken and Newcastle were 3 bucks when I went! I’ve definitely found my favorite bar around this area.

Cool little dive bar if your in the area. Not too much to it. They have one pool table, and like 3 dart boards. Usually fridays they have a DJ playing house, and hip hop.
Beer is super cheap. They do have some nice beers on tap. They only take cash though. Crowd is extremely mixed.
Only thing i didnt enjoy was all the people smoking in doors, and the all the lights. Good thing the ventilation was in full effect, and that the place is a lot larger than it looks from the outside.

Chairs, Cheap Beer, Pool table, Lots of Dart boards, touch screen games, Juke box, and… Well it is what it is and to me it’s AWESOME. Parking is tough if your a late arrival, but there’s plenty of parking on the side streets. $ 12 pitchers and they’ve got Weidmier, Blue Moon and several other tasty beers on tap. Kudos to The Silver Dollar Saloon. Plus, if your a smoker, feel free to do so, IN-​DOORS!
