Tizon Bistro

El Monte finally has a delicious date night restaurant. I traveled to Paris for two weeks and being there in the mostly Italian food restaurant made me feel like I was enjoying a meal at a relaxed, romantic, quaint Parisian bistro. The ambience is so relaxed and the music is great. They have a decent corkage fee at $ 9. Which isn’t bad since most places charge $ 10 – 15.
We ordered an flat bread appetizer, lasagna, hawaiian pizza, chicken in lemon caper sauce and the regular flan dessert. The food was all great! It took a little longer than expected for the lasagna… however it was so worth it!!! The food is so flavorful and surprisingly delicious. I would put this restaurant against any of the restaurants I’ve been too. I was so happy and relaxed. Everything was exactly what I wanted. The dessert flan was so creamy and perfect and a great way to end our meal! Also the service is great and the staff is polite. Greeting you and thanking you as you go. Can’t wait to go back!

This place is definitely a gem! I came here to celebrate my friends birthday! We ordered the habanero-​agave wings. Very delicious! You’re hit with the sweetness of the agave which then is replaced by the burn of the habanero. I highly recommend it. I ordered the chicken albondiga soup. Great flavor with fresh vegetables and a broth that was vey tasty! As my entrée, I ordered the tizon special pizza. Hand rolled out crust with fresh ingredients made for a delicious meal! We ended our meal y ordering the coffee flan. My goodness, if you ever want to have an amazing desert, the coffee flan is all you need! It was smooth, creamy, and a perfect amount of coffee flavor to keep you wanting more! We got to chat with the chef/​owner who was very nice and gave us an insight behind his inspiration for the restaurant and menu. I highly encourage everyone to go out and try this place. Everything is made to order so be ready for a slight wait for you food. But it’s worth it! Fresh ingredients paired with a laid back environment make for great experience!

This place was Great! I had the pizza and it was delicious and full of toppings. My sister had the Ahi tuna salad and it was also very delicious. And to end our meal we had the coffee-​flan and all I can say is Yum! I will be coming back!!!

I came in with my sister for pizza; the chef had a nice aura to him. Needless to say, their pizza was the best I’ve ever tried! This is going to be my new go-​to pizza place. Can’t wait to try their other dishes.

Hidden Gem!!! Such great flavor to their dishes! I love the fact that the chef made a personal kid pizza :) albondigas as good as moms and with a kick of flavor. Perfect wait for made to order food.

Went here for dinner since it seemed pretty good and was nearby, we arrive and the place is empty but looks nice and welcoming, ordered was a flan, pork chops with caramelized red onions and balsamic, Enchiladas with Mole and a 14″ pizza; all arrived with good time and everything was delicious. The menu was said to change every two weeks although it seemed that few things still stay the same such as the spaghetti and meatballs, the bathrooms are not fancy but pretty nice.

Got the spaghetti with meatballs and it was great. They even made us a special order of spaghetti with pesto sauce and chicken since they didn’t have it on the menu. Definitely would recommend to others.

This place is truly a breath of fresh. We were in need of a nice classy cozy restaurant here in El Monte.
We noticed it when we stopped next door to Qwik Stop store.
We had the Cauliflower soup which was amazing that all my kids had tried and were surprised at the taste of it. Needless to say we cleaned the bowl spotless of every drop. We ordered the kids a large pepperoni pizza and a medium Tizon Special pizza for my husband and I. They both were carefully crafted and cooked to perfection. This place will not disappoint. The ambience and customer service is on point. We urge anyone in the area to give this place a shot.
We just found our own favorite hidden gem here in El Monte and we will be regulars there from now on.

Tried the zucchini pasta with shrimp and Louisiana sauce. Holy moly it was good. Also got the baked chile relleno with jalapeño sauce. Spicy and delicious. Can’t wait to try other things on the menu. I’m sure it’s all delicious. Definitely coming back soon.

This place was recommended by some close friends so we decided to check it out. Place is amazing !!! Totally loved it and would most definitely come back. The food was great and the menu had good variety, priced just right. I would also highly recommend to stop by if your in the area. Small very quaint and super clean, just loved it !!!

The pizza was the best pizza I ever had, the crust of the pizza was perfect, it is way better than the post, better than all the mainstream pizza places, and better than baby bros, I would buy pizza from here again

Heard about this place so I thought I would stop by and try it out. Smart move on my part.
Walked in and it was very nice and clean. Looked at menu and decided on taking advantage of the lunch special.
Ordered the pepperoni pizza slice and a soda for a couple of bucks. Good pizza. Can’t beat the price either.
I will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu.

A truly hidden jem! Everything I’ve tried has been spot on. Ambiance is welcoming and the staff is friendly. Will definitely be returning

Very fancy looking, nice chefs. Wish they had break sticks. But overall great!
P.s the wait is a bit long. Ordering on phone is better.

A gourmet restaurant hidden in my childhood home town of El Monte. The chef has a way of adding ingredients with slight undertones bringing out flavors you will not forget. Their Meat Ball Spaghetti has an awesome red sauce. Also had their Chicken Poupon, WOW! Prices are very reasonable. Very affordable lunch specials for $ 7. A definite must have for all you foodies out there. For all the oldies, Tizon Bistro is at the old Salvo’s on the corner of Lower Azusa and Cedar.

It’s finally open! Wonderful owner/​chef, super clean, great atmosphere and excellent service and so close to home! Give it a try…
