IHOP

I haven’t had ihop in like 8 years so I was very curious to see how the restaurant has changed. Their menu has definitely expanded with a lot more items and mouth watering pictures to go with it. I really wanted to try their pancakes because they have sooo many new flavors ! But I had some self control and got their egg white omelette instead. It had mushrooms, cheese, onions and spinach in it. It was delicious, I love how much cheese they put. I also got them with hashbrowns which I really enjoyed because they were very crispy!
Service here was really good! The guy was polite, attentive and always checked up on us.

Wow… just walked out after 40minutes of waiting and NEVER getting my breakfast. To the waitress who didnt even apologize shame on you. A simple update would have been nice but instead watching everyone else get their food when they arrived after. Horrible horrible service-​shame on all the waitresses for being so inconsiderate.

Horrible service and horrible wait along with horrible staff. Also they have a no outside drink policy which is completely absurd after I had already notified the waitress I was still buying drinks and food. Don’t come here. Denny’s is a block away and has much friendlier staff, quick service, delicious food, and you can bring any drink or food inside with you because THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. Never setting foot at this IHOP again.

wow totally impressed in many ways. as busy as it is during all you can eat pancake month, this ihop did not miss a beat. customer service was world class, the food was cooked to perfection and the pancakes were non stop as requested, no waitng at all.
christian in the red shirt not only ensured everyone was doing good he assisted constantly taking empty plates, cleaning up and with a friendly attitude. the servers, maricela, nancy, jesus and maiyra were absolutely on point and also had a friendly attitude even with all my needy requests and all the pancake reorders we requested.
being new to this area, coming from simi valley and the san fernando valley is quite an experience, this is definitely the best ihop in socal

Don’t even know where to start but I’ll keep it short. They took forever to bring food to the people sitting next to us, they forgot to bring food to the people sitting across from us and they all gave me undercooked scrambled eggs. They’re lucky they have bomb pancakes. Not worth spending $ 31 on a meal that was crap.

I wanted to let everyone know of my wonderful experience here on Friday, January 8, 2016. I am an Adult Transition Teacher for Baldwin Park Unified School District. My staff and I took 4 students out to practice their ordering and paying for a meal. The students ordered and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. Our waitress Maria was very understanding and allowed them to order from the children’s menu. Maria was prompt in bringing them their food, drinks, and refills. When we were done, we asked for the check and Maria told us, «It’s been taken care of.» My staff and I were so surprised, shocked, and excited that this was happening. We asked her who paid and she said it was her and another Maria. Thank you Maria and Maria for being so generous and for making us feel special. It is an experience we will never forget. Everyone was nice. The service was fast. The food came pretty fast (surprisingly). The food was good. It was clean. Not too sure why there’s so many negative reviews. I’d go back (:

This was my first time coming to this Ihop… and must I say that we were very pleased with the customer service, our waitress Diego was great and my kids loved his service. The food was good, just what we expected, I took one of my daughter’s to the restroom and must I say the restroom was very clean. We will be making the trip from El Monte to this Ihop from now on!

I live in West Covina and drive to Baldwin Park IHOP 1x/​week to enjoy IHOPS stuffed French toast. There is other IHOPs closer to me, but due to past experiences, I prefer to drive to Baldwin Park for excellent service and great food. This place does not disappoint me. I look for good food and great customer service, and this place gives us both. Thank you IHOP for excellent customer service!!!

I have only called this location for take out, I usually call them as I leave the by early in the morning, my only compliant is that sometimes they are very slow to answer the phones, usually after several times I get a person on the line. My order is complicated but after 7 visits they have gotten each order 100% correct! I usually get there by 6:15am, so there is little crowd to contend with. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean, the counter is always neat and organized. When I check out they are very efficient and accurate. Parking is a little tricky due to the side street entrance imposed by the town. I also like that they have outdoor seating!

Seriously this place need better cooks because every time I come here I have bad experiences with my food Today for the last time I gave them a chance out of 3

Came to celebrate National Pancake day! The service is good and the portions are enough. For this location the wait can be long so expect to wait at least 20 minutes in the weekends.

A 2 star is being nice. I should of read the reviews before coming here again. I believe in a first impression counts I should of never come back again after my last experience. The waitresses are rude and got a starring problem. Never again good bye IHOP BP

Ok so I’ve been here 2x.
The first time I was here, I just got something simple but there was this persistent fly that kept trying to attack my food.
Then I came here last week and I got the Chicken Florentine Crêpe and it was delicious!!! But again, there was a fly in the restaurant that kept flying around and buzzing in our ears.
I’m sad to say that I won’t be coming back even though that crêpe was so good. I can’t enjoy it thinking there are flies trying to land on my food possibly trying to lay it’s eggs all over the place. UGH!!!

Breakfast on Sunday, 3÷22÷15
It’s good to have breakfast early especially on a weekend because there’s usually a wait in line. While we waited, there was a Smart & Final nearby so we went shopping in the meantime.
When we got seated, our server was friendly and took our order. I noticed they didn’t advertise the extra large cups of flavored coffee, hot chocolate, or apple cider. From our previous visits here, we’ve tried the fajita, traditional breakfast items like hash browns, pancakes, and eggs, steak, and the sandwiches. Everything has tasted quite well and service was good.
My mom really enjoys having their sandwiches and hash browns. It’s a place to enjoy once in a while even though the wait can be long.

Where do I start? Food, service, prices, disappointment after disappointment?
Husband and I decided to have breakfast here. We saw a huge picture on the window of a croissant cheesecake. Looked amazing, so we decided to order that. They had two flavors, one was with lemon custard inside, with blue berry on top. The other was cheesecake inside, with strawberry on top.
Disappointment #1 — We wanted that croissant with the lemon, with blueberry. The waitress told us, they ran out of the blueberry one. Why? Why would Ihop not carry enough of that «new item»? It was still morning. They were still servicing breakfast. :(
Disappointment #2 — Let me back up a little… When we were seated, we got a booth and the table was still wet. ok, that’s great that you clean your table, but dry that off. Or wait for it to dry before you seat someone.
Disappointment #3 — We asked for both decaf and regular coffee. We specified who’s have the decaf. The guy brings our cups, fills the cups, and leaves. After chit chatting with my husband, I realized the coffee pot next to me had a blue paper around it. And then it hit me… wait a minute, this is to indicate that it’s the decaf. Which means, he switched the coffee… I got the decaf, when husband wanted the decaf. He can’t have regular coffee for his health. (against doctors orders). So, I called another waitress, to clarify, which coffee was the regular and decaf. I was right… he messed up and switched the coffee.
Disappointment #4 — Since it’s been a while we came to this location. I didn’t realize the prices went up a little. AND the sizes had shrunk. The plates were so much smaller than I remember.
Disappointment #5 — Both my husbands meal and mine was lacking flavor. No salt nor pepper helped me bring mine to a tastier meal for me to enjoy.
Final disappointment of our breakfast — So, when we were done, and ready to pay. No one was at the cashier. There was 3 people on the left side. The area where you put your name down, and they call you to be seated, (the host). But, no one on the right side where the cashier was. So, I had to wave someone down, and let them know we are ready to pay.
Come one people, get it together! Clearly, we are in line to pay… have one of the employees cover the cashier. Do you really need three people to seat your guests? You see what I mean, when I started my review with one disappointment after another? :(

My family and I were seated quickly, waitress came by shortly after being seated to take our drink order. We ordered and food came quick.
I ordered the appetizer sampler with Mozzarella cheese sticks, chicken strips and fries (no onion rings). The chicken strips were so small and hard to eat it was a waste to order. every piece was teeny tiny, all hard breading with no chicken. The mozzarella cheese sticks were so rough on the outside it actually tore the skin on the top of my mouth! Hard to eat anything after that for a few days.
After we received our food, the service went down hill. When asked for more items (sauce or drink re-​fills) we were completely forgotten about and had to re-​ask. We had 2 waitresses checking on us so how that even happened I don’t know.
Personally I’d rather go to Denny’s, I won’t be returning here.

Came around 11am and there was a 20 minute wait time.
Guy taking down names seems he needed a nap, slow talking and really not into working today.
Used the restroom then after returning they called us. Probably 10 minute wait.
Were given a booth but they are not chubby approved so opted for a table.
Once sitting down the staff of three different people got us waters, coffee, menus & utensils.
Given a large table since it was my friend her newborn and I.
Ordered the breakfast sampler. Two eggs, two sausage links, two small ham slices, hashbrowns and two buttermilk pancakes.
Staff always were checking up on us.
Food was good, IHOP is consistent. Usually it’s the staff that makes it or breaks the experience.
Plenty of lot parking. Spacious IHOP for sure, large waiting area.
Might return if I am in the area and in the mood for breakfast.
Paid $ 9.99 for all that food.

Early morning hunger and being the only place close by open I decided to get me some pancakes. The place shows opening at 6:00am and I got there at 5:15 and was still served, great of them probably could tell I was hungry. Placed my order to go which did not take too long and the server served me a cup of coffee free of charge while I waited, super nice of them and extremely thankful as yes I love my coffee.
When my order was brought out the server made sure I had everything I needed and I was on my way to work to enjoy my food.
Pancakes were good and yes I finished all 3 of them by myself. Great service, clean restaurant and the fact that they did not turn me away even if they were not yet open earned them 5 stars in my books.
