Delicious food and wide selection of beers on draft. Had the southwest burger… So good!

Service: It took 40 minutes to get me my appetizer. Which was the wrong appetizer. 20 minutes later the wings finally came out. The burgers we ordered came out just minutes be fore the wings. The place only had a couple of people, so it was not packes. Food: Had the mac n cheese/pulled pork burger. Was not that great. Pork tasted like it came out of a crock pot and the macaroni out of a box. The maple bourbon wings had a good flavor. The wings were fried way too long; to the point they were rubbery and tough. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Came to see what all the hype was about. Should have listened to the reviews that said the service here sucked. Mind you, the bartenders were kind and served us promptly. But we DID sit at the bar. Otherwise, who knows how long before we would have gotten served. Either way, we ordered food but 50 minutes later, STILLNOFOOD. We paid for our beers and vowed never to return. The beer selection is extensive but nothing you can’t find at other local establishments like Block or Hoppy Monk where the service is always great.

Craft house is my favorite place to go! My husband loves craft beer and I hate it!!! But I LOVE the food, so we’re both happy when we go. I always try to order something different and everything is always sssoooo delicious. I recommend the pork wings and the fried Mac n cheese

Four stars because its definitely a place you’ll enjoy and they have food that is SURPRISNGLY good! They don’t get the fifth star because its poorly managed and service can be spotty. FOOD-Let me tell you when you walk in to this place you don’t think you’re going to have some of the best dive bar food you’ve ever eaten, but you’re going to be knocked off your rocker when you have the burgers and wings. Food is great, but be prepared to wait for it. And wait for it. And wait for it. And wait for it some more! DRINKS– Mediocre all female bartending staff like most others in the category, and This place is not the exception, but you shouldn’t be at a dive bar for mixed drinks anyway… Go here for the decent beer selection and the pretty bomb ass happy hour specials! SERVICE-We always have decent service whenever we’re just trying to stop by for a quick beer and drink, but the second we bring company because we want to promote a local place, the services goes down the pooper. Its like they can smell that we want to help this place be a success so they hide from us. Our apologies! The manager is some large white dude who in all the times I’ve been(and we go pretty often) never does anything, never approaches tables, never helps his employees when they’re sinking, and never makes anything better when you complain. So if you’re going to «speak to the manager» you may as well save your breath. Definitely a surprise hit and I’d definitely recommend it!

Food was good, service was good, beer selection is impressive, I like that it’s close to my house. I’ll be back for sure especially for the food they have a really neat selection of food! Happy hour prices are good, not to many tvs, place should be a little busier than what I noticed but hopefully it’ll pick up.

When the waitress brought my wife her Hefe we asked for some lemons, she brought limes. Then I asked if she had lemons not limes and she asked if I meant the yellow things… you’ve got to be kidding me right!!! Beer selection is good but not very cold and food is decent, burger was a little dry. Probably not going back, I prefer Hoppy Monk!

Horrendous. Food was dried out and tasteless had pork wings. Then had a tasteless pastrami sandwich, don’t know how they accomplished it but the screwed up pastrami. Service was non existent

I stumbled upon this place with a friend after grabbing food at the roadhouse. And I’m so glad to have discovered it! We went on a Saturday. Decent crowd and pretty great drink specials. The male bartender really knew his stuff and let us try out different beer til we found the right one for us. My friend prefers his beer light but I’m a fan of the dark, wheat-y beers. The name escapes me but the beer I was a big fan of had hazelnut. So delicious and reminded me of coffee.

Great food. Despite being understaffed the waitresses were friendly and quick with my order. I had the southwest burger with onion rings and both were served hot and tasted delicious. They also have an excellent selection of beer. The atmosphere is also great. This is a great place to grab food or go for drinks with friends. Highly recommend

When I think of a pub I think of kicking back with beer and ‘comfort’ food and well, The Craft House Pub & Grub offers just that. As others have said, the building IS hidden but just pull around to the back of Texas Roadhouse and you’ll spot it in the corner. The inside is open and airy. My hair didn’t smell like smoke or fried food when we left so ladies you’ll appreciate that. We sat ourselves at a table and within five minutes a server came to check in with us. Our table top was a bit dirty(I accidentally put my arm in… wetness) but the server wiped the table off for us explaining the previous patrons had just left. I didn’t pass anyone leaving while coming in but no worries. A food menu was already waiting on the table but the beer menu is actually written out on a chalkboard by the bar — in a cute way, not in a chicken scratch way. There was a large selection of craft beer. I understand beers may change but I think a simple print out, nothing fancy, would have been nice. I had to go stand in front of the chalkboard to read through the selection. There are also happy hour specials from 11 am — 7 pm AND specials at night depending on the day of week(like $ 3 shots). We started off with a sampler appetizer of fried mushrooms, pickles, and asparagus. I usually steer away from fried foods because the batter is overwhelming but the batter was seasoned and a lot lighter than most. There were quite a bit of left over fried bits in the basket which leads me to believe that the fryer may need to be cleaned(same thing with the entrée fries). The menu hosts a ton of interesting and artery clogging choices ranging in the $ 9 arena. For entrees we went with the Southwest Burger and the Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich, both served with fries. A few other entrees that stuck out were the Donut Burger and the Mac N Cheese Sandwich. My Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich was piled high and actually put together very nicely. The Southwest burger had a nice kick. Granted our lives didn’t change after that first bite but the food was still pretty good for pub grub. There are flat screen TVs scattered throughout and a large projection screen with a sports channel on it. The inside is divided in half with one side consisting of the bar, tables, and chairs and the other half has the entertainment. There are pool tables, a foosball table, and arcade games. The background music playing was a broad variety, everything from Iron Maiden to Zac Brown Band(when they were country). However, since it wasn’t crowded it was sort of quiet so the music definitely could have been turned up a few notches. Our server did a nice job overall, giving us space but making sure we had everything we needed. I noticed some other reviewers said something about outfits but management must have addressed it because the servers were all in t-shirts. Also, I don’t get the impression it’s kid-friendly; MAYBE lunch but this has an adult vibe fo sho.

My wife and I both agreed, the burger was one of the best we have ever had. And the beer selection, the ones they were not out of, was good. Two of the ones I requested were not to be found and cups covered many of the taps. However, the ambiance was lacking. The front door opens into the dining area which is quite unpleasant when the sun is blasting through. The menu claims fresh cut fries, and though the fries were good, they were not fresh cut. Service was spotty. We waited 10 minutes to be recognized. The couple at the table next to us ended up leaving before anyone got to them. A sign hanging in the dining area promotes Big Bend Brewery beer at 4.50 a pint«ALLDAYEVERYDAY» and says a dollar off during happy hour. I ordered a BB. It was during happy hour. When our check came, I was charged 4.50. I pointed this out to the waitress who told me it was 4.50 during happy hour. I didn’t argue with her. I just took the dollar off her tip. While we were eating, a burly gentleman pushed a big cart full of trash through the dining area. The burger is worth going back for, but the rest of the place needs work.

Place is alright I guess, but PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE, clean that filth off the wall that’s running down from the beer taps, it looks like toilet water. If they leave something like that, that they see every day and that the customers can see, I wonder what the kitchen looks like.

Beer, food, and atmosphere are great! The only downfall is that the service is horrible! The blonde waitress with the noise ring could care less about serving and more about taking a smoke break. Would come back just for food and beer but service needs to be fixed!

Pretty cool place found it by accident haha food is delicious I recommend the bacon wrapped buffalo how wingz and the chili cheese fries they were awesome. Nice beer selection =) cool place to go play pool. They also have live bands which is fucken awesome but last time we went music was way too loud. And I don’t usually complain about music but it was hard ordering beers and trying to catch up with the friends but overall awesome cool lil spot nice to check out and eat and chill

Like everyone else, we found this place completely by mistake and will be back for sure! Our food was great. The wings, while a little on the small size, had a great taste. We tried 2 sandwiches and they were wonderful. Chickened out on trying the the donut burger, but since our food was so good, I will try it next time. Bartender was very friendly, although i would agree with one of the other posts that the waitress was wearing a rather strange outfit, well i think she was a waitress. I didnt actually see her working but she did go behind the bar several times. They had pool tables; everyone was friendly and welcoming. I just wish it was closer to our house and we would go more often. Looks like we have a new hangout whenever we are on the westside!

As far as gastropubs go not to bad. My personal opinion is that it is shooting for something between a dive and a gastropub. First Craft House is hidden behind Texas Roadhouse so if you are looking for it pull into the parking on the far right side of Texas Roadhouse and it is in the building in the back. The place is clean and service was good. While I think that the waitress’ choice of outfit was questionable and I think her employer should have said something. But that really had no bearing service it is just a pet peeve of mine. There is a touch tunes jukebox(the most common these days that you can purchase credits and choose songs using your phone). It is also stocked with pool tables and other forms of social or group entertainment. The bar is stocked mostly with beer but they claim they can make whatever you want. I had a margarita which I should have known better in asking for. It was drinkable but not great. So I will just have to take their word for their ability to make whatever you want. Food was fine. Nothing too exciting. Passable pub fare with a decent selection of items at a reasonable price. Other random note for parents: I took my child with me and it was for dinner on a week night. There were not many people there and I was informed that one Friday and Saturday nights they have live music and children are not allowed, Which is completely understandable. I was also told that they reserve the right to ask parents with children to leave. I have a well behaved child that has been in bars and pubs all over Europe where it is perfectly acceptable. So I say if you have good kids and would like to patronize this establishment on weekday nights or afternoons sure go for it. My husband likes this place more than me and I think that is different tastes sort of thing. I feel like this is more of a boys club/university student type establishment. I was the only female other than the waitress at the time. But as I said there were not many people there. My husband, the military guy, feels like it is a place where he can go and just hang out with buddies and shoot some pool. My tastes run more to the karaōke, cheap drinks, and crazy people.

I had the pastrami and I loved it. My Man had the Big Dipper– thinly sliced steak and he didn’t speak to me the whole time he ate. I wonder why? They have 42 beers on tap, I don’t drink beer so I had jack and sprite. TV’s for the game. I say, «Men, perfect place to go when your lady is mad at you, and Ladies, it’s the perfect place to take your Man when he needs a good lunch!» When I visit El Paso this will be a must visit. ;} and if you live in El Paso, I strongly recommend to try it.
