Hot and Juicy

Their burgers are really good, we have been coming here for years, I am going to comment on the customer service part of the experience. My wife and I went there on her lunch hour. When we got there, there were two customers waiting for their food and a table full of customers with their food already. We put our order in and patiently waited. 15 minutes went by and nothing but we did noticed people were coming in and we’re getting their food quickly. Some were to go, some were eating at the restaurant. My wife went up to the counter and asked if our food was almost ready and the lady at the counter told her that our food was almost done. She also told her that the reason why the other patrons got their food so quick was that they called ahead. 30 minutes went by and nothing. So my wife went up to the counter again and she was told she had to wait until the call ahead orders were done. Now, not only are we waiting but two other tables are waiting on orders that have been placed over ½ hour. Well, we had to leave due to my wife having to go back to work, we asked for our money back and we did but we got our money back with a crap attitude by that lady. I don’t think the problem is the establishment, the problem is the lady at the front counter. When the gentleman is on the front running the counter, we have never had an issue. She also needs to check herself and work on customer service and front counter skill because she really sucks. She was rude, sarcastic and unprofessional. Its not the first time this has happened with her up front, we have witnessed this other times with other customers. Othan that, this is a very good burger.

Delicious burgers! Easily my favorite burger joint to go to. Don’t judge this hole in the wall by its cover; it has some of the best burgers in EP. Family owned and excellent service. Come here at least once a week, and they know me by name, and what I order. Would heavily recommend.

The best made to order burger I have has in many years. Marfa texas has good burgers. Back in the day it was Mike’s Place. Memos. Mandos. Six 2 Inn and el Toro. Memos and mandir still alive and good. But hot and juicy el paso. The best in far west texas. Mario Cortez. And i a professional trained chef.

Another fantastic place for burgers in this city. They have a huge mega burger but I’ve never tried it. They customise burgers, and the pineapple burger certainly didn’t disappoint. Great place for a quick lunch.

Burgers done right. Home style feel atmosphere very cool owner and food with a touch of mommas house. Really happy they are just around the corner from my house.

One of the better burgers I have had in the past 6 months. Very friendly counter staff, good juicy burger, (I ordered the Thunderbird and added green chilis). The chili fries and onion rings were also very good. I would definitely go back

Extremely friendly staff and great food. Haven’t had a burger that good in years. Cook came out and spoke with us asking how the food was. It’s nice to see small businesses who take interest in what their customers think. Goes a long way I will definitely come back if we are ever in this state again :)

Really solid burger and fries. Had the bear. Owner is a cool guy that went out of his way to come shake our hands and say thank you. Highly recommend.

Hands down the best burgers in El Paso. I eat here regularly and have had nothing but exceptional quality food and service. This is a small family owned burger joint; if they’re open, the owners are there working hard to insure every burger served is perfect. The name says it all… the burgers are «Hot-​N-​Juicy», and all of the toppings are fresh and delicious. The fries, and chips are freshly made from potatoes in-​house; you can’t go wrong with either, but I love the chips.
I’ve never had anything here I didn’t love (and I’ve had it all), and everyone I know that has been here loves it.
They also serve wonderful menudo Sunday mornings while it lasts.

Great burger! Very flavorful and with all the right fixings. I like the little condiment bar where you can add more deliciousness to the burger. The homemade chips were good too! I like the local feel to the place too.

First, this restaurant is sharing a wall with a pawn shop. Don’t let that fool you!
When I walked in, it was very family owned looking. There was pictures of the local University of El Paso along the wall, and there were a good amount of tables. The building itself is small, and I think they put just enough tables. Place was clean, and extremely welcoming.
Walking to the register, the lady behind welcomed me with a smile. I already knew what I wanted because I looked up the menu before hand. I ordered two burgers for togo. One with fries and one with their homemade potato chips. I’m not sure exactly how long it took to get my order but seemed like it was done within 10 – 15 minutes, I felt like I didn’t wait long.
Driving home, the food smelt super good and I was getting even more excited. Getting home and finally opening, I was pleased. Nothing too special, literally a burger and the side.
I was really happy that the burgers weren’t soggy by the time I got home. I was even more happy when there wasn’t excess amount of oil! The burgers tastes divine, and I loved that it had a smoked kind of flavor. As if I made the burgers in my backyard during the summer! I usually eat little to no salt in my food so the fries and chips were both a little too salt for me, but I’m sure you can ask no salt.
Im definitely a returning customer!

Looking for a great ma and pa burger place, look no further. Best burgers in town! I always get the bear and regular fries. Paired with the onion rings it might be a bit too heavy, but every once in a while it’s great to satisfy a craving. The burgers are cooked well– never dry and the extras like lettuce, tomato, onion and picked are all up to you. Salsa bar has sliced jalapeños which is perfect with any burger, on top of being able to customize the condiments. Sunday menudo is amazing and flavorful at this place. Menudo and only menudo served Sunday until they run out. Plus, they do drive through!

Will become a staple when I visit El Paso. I ordered the chili cheese dog with a side of fries plus the BC burger. Both were very tasty and I thought it interesting that they use a sesame seed bun for my CC dog (hmm?) which was not a problem at all but just interesting. It actually tasted fine. The fries could’ve been hotter but I think I took too long scarfing down the burger and dog. The food is good and nothing fancy which is the way I like my dogs and burgers. Give this place a shot and you wont be disappointed.

I usually get the southwestern but I ordered a bookemdano which comes with pineapple and it was amazing. This is definitely my favorite burger joint!

Best burgers, super friendly joint. Looks are definitely deceiving. We have been coming here for 3 years now, and have never had a bad experience, and if you were to have a problem, I am 100% certain that the owner would make it right. I order the cougar everytime, with the home made queso… best ever! And in perfect burger fashion, they are served not topped, so no bad karma from taking the top off!

Hot & Juicy is one of the best, if not THE best places in El Paso to get a burger. They have a bunch of different combinations you can choose from, and you can basically make your own burger if you arnt interested in one of the burgers on their menu. I got a bacon & chili con queso burger and it was AMAZING, the fries were also perfectly crispy.
This place is a must try, they’re affordable and absolutely delicious!

Came in with super high expectations from reading Unilocal reviews & walked out thoroughly impressed! I was nervous for a second when I saw how thin the patties were. but the flavor more than makes up for it.
I ordered a southwestern burger which comes with green chili, bacon, and asadero cheese — all very mild. Added fresh avocado as recommended by the cashier. I can whole heartedly agree with the others who’ve boldly claimed, «Best burgers in El Paso». It’s strange, come to think of it, how obsessed EP is over burgers and mac ‘n cheese variations. Strange, but definitely a treat.
Hot & Juicy is what Unilocal is all about. It’s local, not real fancy or flashy, but worth raving about to all your friends. and neighbors, Unilocal friends, and El Paso visitors. The owners often come around and make genuine & friendly conversation and ask about your experience; big plus.
Next time I’ve worked up a crazy appetite, I’ll be back for a Kong burger. Six patties, here I come.

I was super skeptical about eating here because it is right next to a pawn shop.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted immediately which is a huge plus for me! I love small customer service details that make me feel valuable as a customer.
Finally! A place where I can get a normal burger. No fancy ingredients just basic ingredients that are perfectly intertwined with each other.
Warm bun, melted cheese, juicy meat, and crispy fresh lettuce and tomato PERFECTION in every bite.
They have me as as a returning customer! I minus one star because I feel the atmosphere could be better.

Seriously, I’ve lived just a few minutes away from this place and it’s taken me 16 months to finally visit this place? I am so mad at myself.
The burgers really are hot & juicy. I ordered the Southwestern, which includes green chile, bacon and cheese. It comes with a side of tomatoes, onions and lettuce (generous portions of them, too). SO DELICIOUS. And did I mention, it was only $ 3.99? WHAT! GET OUT.
Get some fries with that burger!
Go here– you will be addicted. I plan on trying every single burger they offer. Except the Kong burger (see the menu pic) — I can eat a lot, but that that much.
