Awful food and awful service! They were out of everything we wanted and then lost our order. Then when we finally got our food it was cold. Manger was rude even after all we had experienced. Will never go again.

I loved the boil I ordered. You choose your own meat, plus sides and seasonings for the boil. It’s pricy but well worth it to me.

I was informed about King Crab, especially having expressed my desire for crawdads to a friend of mine. After reading the plethora of other’s reviews I decided to take it upon myself with friend in tow, to finally come face to face with this crustacean restaurant. I was immediately overwhelmed at how clean the establishment was, along with the pleasant demeanor of the staff. I liked how persistent Aaron our waiter wanted to brief us on the menu an inform us of what the current prices were for certain items. I ordered obviously the crawdads and was taken aback at how wonderful and inviting it was to my tastebuds. Lastly, I noticed they have an outside patio in the back too, which I’m sure will start getting quite packed in the upcoming warmer months. Highly recommend this establishment to the sea ferring foke! Definitely going back for another go around!

What a great place to eat! They have live lobsters, king crab legs, and fresh shrimp and seafood, they have a board that shows you the market price and where they get it from. I really enjoyed the gumbo and I had the tri-fecta shrimp, lobster, King crab leg boil. George is a great server, and the staff is highly recommended.

I had been looking forward to going to this place. My wife and I arrived early for dinner, 6 p.m. We were seated at a table, a couple of minutes later a booth came open and we asked to be seated there instead. Our request was denied by George, a waiter/asst. manager. We asked why not and were told by George that the couple that came in after us had requested the booth. That couple was seated at another table next to us while the booth we wanted remained empty before two other couples came in and one of them was seated at the booth. I brought that fact up to George and he said, oh I thought that the booth had been asked for by that couple, the one now seating at the table next to us. We ordered our dinner at 6:10, a seafood boil, shrimp and king crab legs, no blue crab available among other menu items. My wife had the catfish and we ordered the alligator pieces as an appetizer, I asked how long it would and was told the appetizer would be ready in 10 minutes and our dinner in another 20 minutes. Great right, well 30 minutes went by before our appetizer arrived, an «hour» later our dinner was served. During that time the wait staff never once came to check to see how we were doing. A couple at another table gave up the wait and left, I was close to leaving 45 minutes into our wait for food and a refill offer, should have left at that point after tasting our appetizer, I have had alligator meat in Luisiana and it was good and tender, here it was tough and overcooked, the fries were good. Painfully waited for dinner after I called for another drink. Finally dinner arrived a full hour later, after the two other couples that came in after us were finishing up their dinner! I guess lesson learned don’t order an appetizer or don’t believe your waiter your dinner will be ready in so many minutes. The dinner, my wife said the catfish was good, however she only ate a couple of pieces, hmmm. My seafood boil was shrimp and King crab legs, hahaha, King crab legs! What a joke! I have been to Alaska and have had King crab legs, these were tiny, no miniature! The shrimp was good size and cooked right. I heard the couple that sat next to us complained about the serving portions being too small, I had heard this before about this place and experienced it first hand and from another table. I had ordered the corn and potatoes with the boil, those never arrived, however they did show up on the bill as a charge, were taken off the check. Not worth the money, in my opinion. Red lobster would have been a much better option, but I wanted to try this place. Not going back. We were leaving and the owner/manager, a female oriental lady asked about our experience, well I explained to her how our dinner date, from arrival to the end went from bad to nightmarish. She didn’t seem to care much and said come back, I said I would give it another shot, however after second thought, I don’t want to live through or put my significant other through another awful dinner date experience like the one the staff contributed to at King Crab.

We have been here twice now and have enjoyed the experience both times. We took some friends last night and they also had a great time. The food is sold at market price by the pound, boiled and spiced to order. Fresh ingredient and quality spices. Service was excellent. Will be telling everyone we know who enjoys seafood that this is a great place for a Louisiana boil!

King crab was pretty awesome! Went in last night(Saturday night) around 7 and the place wasn’t too busy. We were quickly greeted and seated by friendly staff. Our servers name was a cute girl named Sam who was nice and helpful with the menu. There was another server I believed name Scott who kept checking up on us and giving us recommendations and teaching us desert rats about seafood. The food was pretty good. No complaints here! Nice to have a seafood joint here in El Paso!

The food is AMAZING! I don’t understand how this place wasn’t packed. I think it is in a poor location. Why is it next to Cabos? This place would bank at the Fountians. Back to the restaurant;the Gumbo is A MUSTTRY! ITS so delicious. The cod basket, excellent. The batter wasn’t heavy, you can taste the fish. The fries have a tastey seasoning. Oysters are also good. 1st time ever eating them Rockerfeller. Now the main meal– we picked the 3 bucket which you chose 3 seafood items @ ½ pound each. We chose king crab, shrimp, mussels, sausage, corn and potatoes. I would get snow crab instead and no shrimp-wasn’t a fan. Cheesecake was excellent. It was 4 adults celebrating a birthday. Prices are a bit high, that’s why I give them a 4.

Only giving this place a 1 star just because the workers/servers were nice, but the food just didn’t cut it for us. My husband and I were excited to try this place because we have tons of restaurants back home that do seafood boils and we love it! But king crab was a fail for us for two major reasons…1st off the seafood boils are waaaay over priced for the quantity and quality they offer:(def not worth the money) 2nd we ordered the fried catfish and they served it to us raw! The catfish came with a side of Cajun fries that just tasted like frozen fries you can by at Walmart(nothing Cajun about them) and your choice of coleslaw or potato salad, we ordered the coleslaw and it tasted mediocre as well. Unfortunately there’s nothing special about this restaurant, it has lots of potential but the food was really a disappointment. We are definitely not coming back

This is my first time to King Crab. New Orleans is in El Paso, great place. I recommend it, awesome King crab legs in Creole sauce and #4 hot sauce. Craw dads just like in the Bayou. Can’t wait to go back, festive and really comfortable atmosphere!

Was told about this place from a friend, so we checked it out. We were going to have a party of 4, and were waiting for the other half(placed name on waiting list). So we waited at the bar. Looking round this place, it was nice with different décor from other seafood places. The bar tender was a good guy(made a good hurricane) and had an ice tea. We were called for out table in which I had to close out the bar tab. The place was busy, but kept getting passed by literally all the staff. No one checked in on us. After 20 min called over the waiter from the table next to us to inquire who our waiter would be. The waiter George said he would take your table. My two other friends ordered more drinks. We proceeded to place our food order. We were told by George that they were out of lobster, king crab legs, and hush puppies.(Kind of like a pizza place running out of cheese and pepperoni). We each ordered the combo broil with a mixture of seasonings(garlic, Cajun, and hot) I must say it was tasty. There was this young lady that places a large piece of construction paper down. It seemed like that was her only function, because I had asked her for some more sweet & lows and never got any when I clearly saw the box behind the bar. The broil was pretty fast to come out. I know George was busy. But their system was lacking unity and team work from practically all of the employees at the front of the house. There was so much confusion, I can only say since this place opened ten days ago they have time to make corrections. If not I don’t see this place lasting long. I will give this place a second shot in a couple of months give them time to make adjustments. George stay strong and good job and thank you.

Food was great but service could have been better. Weren’t enough waiters as soon as it got really busy. Trainees also wasn’t the most familiar with the menu.

horrible service. I’d at least rate the food had I been able to get past the rude hostess and get a table to try it out. here’s a hint genius restaurant owner, when the tables are rsvp’d and empty for 45mins people arent spending money. yet you’ll let people wait at the door till then. oh yea, this business will last. good luck.

This place has the best seafood boil I’ve ever had. The chef is from Louisiana, and you can tell from the taste of the food. The servers are helpful and knowledgable. Try the gumbo and the crab boils! You won’t regret it!

Love the idea of this so much! El paso needed a great seafood joint. Sadly this one is not it. Our boils were lukewarm when they arrived at our table. Ordered my daughters boil plain cause she doesn’t like spicy things and her food was still really spicy. Our iced tea looked like yellow water. The shrimp had an awful mushy texture. Close to $ 100 bucks for two adults and one toddler. Now I’m just glad none of is got sick.

This place does a Louisiana girl proud. Legit boiled seafood with potatoes & corn on the cob. Gumbo is amazing and the bacon hush puppies are to die for! Seafood is flown in fresh daily. Looking forward to trying the alligator and oysters next and cannot wait until blue crab is in season. Only thing that’s missing from the menu is bread pudding and Abita beer.

First of all let me say that I am from Louisiana and I grew up on seafood my entire life, my brother sold seafood for years and we know what great! Taste like. With that said I don’t claim to be an expert on Louisiana cuisine, I strongly encourage readers to read my review. They claim to have a taste of Louisiana and how incredibly wrong and offensive it was to real«coonasses» if you don’t know what a «coonass» is then you have no idea what real Cajun food is! Ok here we go the menu seemed pretty good until they tell you they are out of lobster, king crab legs, blue crab is out of season, so what’s left is shrimp, clams, crawfish lol tiny crawfish! Because honestly crawfish season is actually February through May, but I guess they didn’t actually know that! And they had snow crab legs. So they say they throw everything in a sack and boil it! Which is a great way to soak the seafood and infuse flavor, but what actually happens is they already had the products boiled in what taste like water only first and then they dipped them in some type of greasy«hot» sauce which you pick for your spicy season, I thought it was weird when he asked what flavor, because how it should work is the seafood should be boiled in a spicy bath of boiling water and seasoning, with potatoes, corn, and Sausage! Not dried out quarter inch cut up hot dogs! Now the way you cook the seafood is you boil for a extremely short while and let them sit in the bath of amazing spices for an extended period of time, it’s simple the longer they sit the spicier it gets, so you taste the product every so often to gage the perfect flavor for your heat levels. This obviously did not happen. Everything was so dry! The snow crabs taste like chalk they were so dried out and the shrimp was hard to peel and flavorless, the crawfish were extremely small! And again that’s due to them being out of season! This place was horrible! Don’t waste your time or money! Over priced! I got 3lbs of mixed 1 lb of crawfish 1b of shrimp, and 1lb of snow crab legs because that’s all they really had, and it cost 56.84 Jeeeeze! After which I asked the waiter and he said Oh! The choose 3 is half a pound each, well thanks for correcting me when I placed my order. The only reason this place has one star because I can’t leave zero stars! Never Again!
