I was never a huge fan of cupcakes… until this place. Man, they have the best cupcakes I have ever tasted. I normally have a distaste for overly sweet icing on cupcakes but the frosting on these little things is just the right amount of sweet! The double chocolate, strawberry shortcake, hummingbird, strawberry colada… all amazing! You can choose from large or mini cupcakes and get singles or packs of 6, 12, 24, etc. It’s affordable, too! They also have flavored or unflavored tea/lemonade as well as coffee to have with your cupcake.

I really like this place. The shop is nice and the employees are friendly. I’ve only tried the cupcakes. My favorites are the Hummingbird cake and chocolate cupcake. I like the frosting. It’s not a buttercream, which typically is my preference, but this frosting is delicious too. I’m already a repeat customer:)

This is one of my favorites. The owner is most of the time there and he is very friendly, suggesting new flavors and new items. My personal favorite is the German chocolate and I highly recommended. The mini cupcake is no more than 2 dls and has a very good flavor you can really taste the mixture of coconut pecans and chocolate. The place also has a frequent customer rewards card, they take customer service seriously and it’s a good place if you are looking for a local bakery/coffee place.

Good cupcakes… I’ve been here about 3 times… 2 afternoons and 1 evening… I’ve tried 6 varieties and only 1 or 2 were like WOW good… Not that the rest were horrible. They were okay. Tip: Don’t go after 5pm… The cupcakes are dry, and a bit stale. I’m assuming that they are gonna toss them at closing time, yet they don’t even offer a discount for stale cupcakes.

Absolutely love this place! Just moved here from overseas and happened upon it while out exploring. The shop is quaint, employees very personable and answered all my questions, and the cupcakes are SOOOOOOOOOOO good. I like the mini cupcakes, especially the maple bacon and the tres leches. They have a good variety and I’ve been pleased every time I’ve gone.

Stopped by here for a quick snack. I like the fact that they make cupcakes in mini sizes too. Their frostings are the light whipped type. Overall seems like a good place and I would probably stop by again to satisfy my sweet tooth or order cupcakes to bring to some kind of event.

Walmart can do better. We got a variety and they were all super dry inside. The frosting is whipped if you like that sort of thing but I prefer thick buttercream frosting. I’ll stick with Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Really liked it! Good atmosphere chill and relaxed. Great cupcakes and good daily specials too! Recommend highly! Also loved it because they had other options besides coffee! Like their hot chocolate and other milk syrup drink! Unique!

The Masters place was OK I gave it three stars because the whip topping on all the cupcakes taste the same. I could say that the cupcakes are super moist. But I think they are too pricey. When you have kids you always look for the best bargain and the best quality. And I feel that The Masters place does have quality but it’s too much for the quantity I will not be going back.

Okay Unilocal, let’s chat. I spent the better part of two years trimming my body down 150 pounds because I was afraid my life wasn’t going to be a life anymore.(don’t let that be sad… I’m getting to a point here) I’ve done well on discipline and I’ve been sure to monitor my food calorie intake for the better part of my lifestyle change. Well, let’s step into my world now. I’ve been back in El Paso for about two months now and I’ve been stumbling into some amazing places to eat and this establishment, The Master’s Place, is no different. It’s a niche café that bakes their cupcakes fresh daily. Whatever they don’t see is tossed the next day(tis true, I saw a huge platter of yesterday’s goodies next to the trash can). I was taken aback by what was available to me but I settled on two mini-cupcakes(because my figure still deserves a little attention): Churro & Tres Leches. Those were great choices. The churro cupcake had the perfect amount of everything and there was a churro type batter filling that jumped out at you when you took a bite. The tres leches was as expected(as far as consistency) and it was amazing in taste. I went with a party of five and had a try at what they ordered and it was great across the board. It would have received a five star review but two things hindered my decision: the coffee wasn’t great(but freshly brewed which deserves notice) and the peach tea was too sweet(I’m sure it can be modified to my liking in the future but the first impression seals it for me). The coffee and tea is nitpicking on my part BUT it goes without saying they execute where it counts. It’s called a cupcake shop and they NAILED it. They offer about 10 flavors each day and two different sizes. Also, they offer coffees, lattes, milkshakes(with cupcake blended in), and more… those treats are crack to a person like me and I’m glad I live in the Northeast because I’m bound to balloon up if I lived within five miles of it. Save me, Jesus!!! Taketh the cupcaketh awayeth from me!!! –rv

First time here and have to say I was impressed. The place is very clean and very modern design inside. Cupcakes are delicious, I tried a regular size triple chocolate, a small Strawberry Shortcake cupcake and was very good! My wife had the Tres Leche & Pistachio Almond and was great well. They also have different items besides cupcakes well. We’ll be visiting again soon to pick up a dozen of mini cupcakes for a gift to family visiting.

Cupcake variety was less than I expected(they had about 8 at the time, which was early evening) and cupcakes were very dense(I prefer them light and fluffy). Having said that, the flavors were good. However, the best thing about this place is the drink selection. I had the«Teamonade»(basically an Arnold Palmer) with cucumber(flavor) and it was super cool and refreshing! He had the Lemonade with cucumber – equally good! Interior was well appointed too.

Nice looking place pretty sweet décor going on. Nice set up. Bought a box of six miniature cup cakes cuz it was cheaper than buying a single one. the presentation of the cup cakes was awesome. different varieties of flavors I choosed the red velvet, tressLeches, and strawberry short cake. My favorite was the tres Leches. I do believe it was a bit pricey $ 1.75 per cup cake. But they were really declious.

yum yum. Finally the far east side has a good cupcake place. It is very quaint and centrally located on Zaragosa, a few doors down from Jungle Jacks. I recommend the red velvet, the tres leche or the strawberry shortcake ones. You can even get a tasty beverage, Arnold Palmers, Lemonade, or Coffee, in various flavors. My favorite is the cucumber lemonade.

Love this place! The interior is so cute and it is a great place to go for desert with friends, family or a significant other. I love the fact that they have mini cupcakes! This way you get to try a little of every flavor! Hubby and I got a 6-pack of different flavors. Peanut butter and jelly, chocolate covered strawberry and tres leches were our top 3, but they were all delish. My husband also tried one of their lemonades. He got the mango lemonade. It was very refreshing. I’m glad I found a good cupcake joint in Paso.

Master’s Place is an unexpected name for a cupcake joint, these places are generally named Sprinkles and such, but they definitely have mastered some yummy cupcake flavors. El Paso has always been 5 – 10 years behind the times, so now that Frozen Yogurt shops are all over the place, it’s time for this city to finally get around to the cupcake craze of 2009, and that’s something this cupcake fan is certainly looking forward to.
The owner recommended the Tres Leches cupcake, and it was pretty damn good, it has the tres leches but it isn’t soggy, so it works well as a cupcake. I also really like the Tiramisu, Red Velvet, and Carrot cupcakes, they seem to do a really good job with the crème filled or moist ones. The chocolate one I found to be not as good, though it looks very tempting, its just okay. The interior décor goes for hip and modern, which makes it a good place to bring a date for dessert or hang out with friends. I’m glad it wasn’t blasting music, hopefully they’ll keep it that way. Prices are good, $ 1.75 per cupcake, 6 for $ 8(though it is posted at $ 1.50/ea.). Out-of-towners please note that this is a 5-star on the El Paso curve, it is unfair to grade it against places that aren’t in this city.

A great addition to the far eastside. Mini-cupcakes galore! And such creative flavors too. I ended up getting 13, but like I said they’re mini-cupcakes so it’s not like I looked ridiculous ordering so many. Or maybe I did. Anyways 13 means I tried every single flavor they had that day. And if you were wondering, yes, I’ll give you the list of flavors I had: Strawberry Shortcake, Red Velvet, Chocolate Peppermint, Jalapeño Cheddar, Eggnog, Green Tea, Coconut, Carrot Cake, Maple Bacon, Tres Leches, Vanilla Bean, Double Chocolate, and Arroz con Leche. My favorites were the Carrot Cake, Shortcake, and the Green Tea. All of the cupcakes were fresh and moist, some more dense than others… but the ones that were more dense seemed fitting, like the Chocolate Peppermint. They aren’t too expensive, only $ 1.50 per cupcake. Packs of 4, 12, or 24 are actually cheaper than $ 1.50 each. As far as the space goes, this is quite a large shop with a ton of seating and a couple of couches. Really just relaxed and the staff is great. Check ‘em out. They’re really good cupcakes!
