Great spot for lunch! I’ve never been there for dinner, but go often for both business and personal lunch events. They have a very large and diverse menu, with everything from burgers and paninis to salads, tacos, and sushi! Personally, the Steak Caprese Salad and the Plymouth Rock Panini are my favorites. The salads are huge – even on my hungriest day, I’ve never been able to completely finish my plate. The paninis come with a choice of regular fries, sweet potato fries with a sweet dipping sauce, and beer-battered sidewinder fries. The sidewinders are my favorite – nice and crispy, with a good amount of soft potato in the middle of each one. Their service is always fast and friendly; my department has gone for lunch several times with parties of 10 or more people, and still gotten in and out in under an hour, which I find to be quite impressive. Stop by Nolita if you’re looking for a quick and casual bite to eat! :)

Pretty average place. The ambiance was unsettling with fluorescent lights, and a table right by the kitchen entrance. Steaks were overcooked and just average. This place is probably a decent lunch spot but isn’t worth a dinner stay.

Service was great, environment was nice and modern with good views, unfortunately the food and drinks were just mediocre. Watered down big margaritas similar to Applebee’s or other chain. We ordered two of the recommended dishes(louisiana panini and some stuffed chicken breast dish) since we had never been here before, and both were pretty mediocre and we didn’t finish either.

I found this place on Unilocal and I’m so glad I tried it. The food was delicious and the value was great! My server recommended the Poblanito and suggested my friend and I order a bottle of wine over ordering by the glass. Both his advice and service was superb. I don’t usually write reviews although I appreciate all the Unilocalers who share their experiences. This place impressed me so I don’t want anyone to miss out on such a great find.

This was our first time eating here and let me begin by saying that we were greeted by the friendly staff, we sat down and our waitress was great! She was informative about the items on the menu and very friendly and talkative! We ordered an appetizer(the nachos), an entrée each(I ordered the chicken stir fry and my partner, a hamburger) and we also ordered dessert. The food was great tasting and the presentation was beautiful. After we were finished eating, one of the employees came over and asked how everything was(a great bonus to feel welcomed and served well.) Overall, great food, great service and we’ll definitely be returning!

Great prices, great portions, great taste, great service. I came here for lunch and ordered the paella which came with caldo de res as an appetizer. From the chips and salsa in the beginning to the main course.. everything was outstanding. Well certainly return.

I went on Thursday with my friend and I had a great time, the places atmosphere was super chill and our waiter Rene was really nice and I actually left feeling like I had made a new friend, we ordered 3 sushi rolls, an appetizer, a margarita each and plumb wine and paid like 20 dollars each so it was also very wallet friendly! I strongly recommend! Ask for Rene he’ll make your dinning experience a lot more fun.

***LATEREVIEW*** I had thought I posted this already, but when reviewing the page the thing said«Finish Review» lol… So here it is. Recently a OYE(Official Unilocal Event) was hosted at this gem of El Paso’s downtown area, … Nolita. Located directly adjacent to the court house, this place is easy to find and surprisingly, there is decent parking, although it’s paid parking. $ 5 for like 12 hours though, lol… So you’re good. The restaurant is decorated really nice. Tables both round and square. Plenty of room. Simple, and yet trendy and modern. I felt very comfortable here. The food was amazing. I had the samples of their shrimp, Mac and cheese which had bacon on it, and a very interesting buffalo chicken egg roll. Pretty good. These samples were all provided for free, and the food was so good that we ordered our own off the menu. I ordered a panini which had 4 kinds of cheese and a side of sweet potato fries. Came with an amazing caramel dipping sauce. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi. It was good. And at our table, our friend Albert, the king of El Paso, ordered the border town burger. Cheese burger, with a fried piece of ham and a fried egg. Messy, but delicious. They have a full bar, so drink up if that’s what you like. They also carry all the normal soft drinks. This place was really good and was perfect for the event. The owner came out and have a quick speech about where the idea for Nolita started and his journey making his restaurant dream come true. They facilitated the event very well and every single face in the place had a smile. This is a must return to kinda place. Hey, they even offer 10% off of you check in on Unilocal. I recommend this place… And their Mac and cheese. Das it Mayne

I arrived just after the grill had closed, however the chef heard me ask and grilled me up an outstanding burger! It was cooked just between medium and medium-rare, very flavorful and sooooo juicy. The habanero cheese and mix of peppers blended excellently with the bacon and burger meat. The skinny fries with parmesan cheese were crispy and tasty. Props the bartender for making a superb Mojito, the mint was muddled well without getting the tiny pieces stuck in my teeth. I’ll be sure to visit again my next time in El Paso. Also, the chef came out after I ate to make sure I enjoyed my meal. The owner was also present and made me feel welcome and at ease. This is a wonderful place.

When I got the invite to attend a Unilocal event to this establishment, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to attend it. Having read a couple good reviews, I decided to try this place ahead of time. Also thinking that it would probably give me a more unbiased view of the place. First thing: parking. It is downtown, so it’s not always easy and/or cheap to park. Nolita Corner Bistro sits right against a parking lot($ 5 for the whole day) and there are a handful of parking meters beside their building. Not sure what days the meters are free, but I didn’t have to pay when we went on a Saturday. It was completely empty when we arrived. Needless to say we got to sit wherever we wanted and took advantage of the seats on the deck. Our server was awesome. Very personable and attentive. He had a lot of initiative. For instance, when he saw our table was getting crowded, he offered to add another table to give us extra room. He also gave us additional tortilla chips when we were getting low. It was a nice touch for the chef to come over to ask us how our meal was, as well. I decided to get the nachos, wingers with Asian sauce and Mr. Bleu burger. The nachos were just nachos and cheese, very generic. The wings were surprisingly OUTSTANDING. Track One sits on the throne for best wings, in my book; but these wings made me rethink that. Lastly, the burger was good –not great. Maybe it was the bun, maybe it was too dry or maybe it was the lack of seasoning on the patty itself. I couldn’t exactly put my finger on what exactly was off. I am a harsh critic when it comes to burgers, so I’m sure these burgers are great in other people’s book. During the Unilocal Event, I tried two of the three dishes: buffalo chicken egg roll and the mac and cheese. The egg roll is worth getting. I’m not a huge fan of buffalo chicken and can probably count on one hand how many times I’ve ever eaten any kind of buffalo chicken, but this was amazing. The mac and cheese was a little bland. I mean, when combined with the crumbles of bacon on top, it was fine. But I thought it either needed more salt or more pieces of bacon. Overall, this place has won a permanent spot in my book. The menu is safe enough for those unadventurous eaters, but pushes the envelope just enough where it’s not boring and still attracts those who want to try something different.

Awesome downtown spot right in the heart of things. I was glad to see a new restaurant open up on this corner lot because it makes for a great people watching spot. First off I got history with Chef Sunny, he’s my boy! Haha Actually he catered our wedding and the food was absolutely amazing then so I can only imagine what labial concoctions. I’ve been looking for him and I was super pumped to hear he’s managing this kitchen. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for an almond chicken plate ;-) The décor is modern with a twist of business casual, which fits perfectly with the happy hour crowd and the adventuring dinner crowd. If I worked downtown this would be my first stop out of the office. The bar is almost the length of the place so there’s plenty of space to have one hour of happiness. The brew selection ranges from the classic domestics to the artisanal craft. They also have an excellent variety of tequilas for those hours needing an extra dose of happiness. The menu is a motley of flavors to please anyone. From the habinero egg rolls to the mac n cheese sprinkled with bacon, from the burgers to full plated meals. We opted for the EP nachos for our table to go with some drinks. They come served with all the fixings and with brisket! I’ve been looking for a spot with this lovely option. My only suggestion… throw on the heat! We’re in the sun city here! Brisket nation, spicy foods! I’d like to see a spicy meat marinade added to the mixture. We had to request for additional jalapeños, which the wait staff happily obliged. Overall, this restaurant is an awesome addition to the already wonderful downtown area. I can easily see us stopping by for a great meal before a baseball game or for a new downtown restaurant experience. Sunny, I’ll be seeing you soon!

This is a fantastic place to grab a bite to eat downtown. The restaurant has a great modern layout, great portions and best of all great prices. I had the mushroom burger with sweet potato fries with the best dipping caramel sauce I have ever had. I sampled their Mac n cheese, shrimp and buffalo egg roll. They were all good, but I particularly liked the shrimp and the way they fried it. It had a good taste and the way it came out was just really cool to look at.

I was introduced to this place by the Official El Paso Unilocaler Extraordinaire TANYA, who had organized this event to showcase the food of Nolita, the iced tea from Humanitea, and the ice cream from Ice Creamed Myself, which are all El Paso based small businesses. The Unilocal crowd there was what you would expect from a bunch of Unilocalers… fun-loving, enthusiastic foodies with serious opinions on what is served to them. That said, my friend and I had a BLAST! Everything was Unilocalified to the max, including Unilocal mints and sunglasses There were 3 dishes served for the tasting: buffalo chicken eggroll, deep fried jumbo shrimp and the adult mac and cheese. The eggroll was spicy, with just enough heat to make me sweat a little under my eyes; the crisp greens and ranch dressing served with it were very good. The shrimp was über crispy outside(think shredded — wheat crunchy) and served with a mild sweet and sour sauce, and was tasty, but not mind-blowing. The adult mac and cheese was a blend of two mild cheeses with cellentani pasta, topped with bacon crumbles. It was good, but topping it with gruyère and throwing it under a broiler for a few minutes would’ve put it over the top. Then we ordered a couple sandwiches; I ordered the Bronx Bomber(turkey/pastrami on rye) and garlic-parmesean fries; my friend ordered the Santa Barbaran(but I called it the Santa Barbarian, because it was loaded with so much BBQ brisket) and sweet potato waffle fries. Both sandwiches exceeded expectations and the meat portions in the sandwiches were very generous. We tried to keep our backs turned to the very nice vegetarian at the next table, so as not to offend while we DEVOURED our sandwiches… and we could not finish them(yay, to-go box!). The fries were on-point, and they served a sweet dipping sauce with the sweet potato fries that was amazing. The Humanitea was better than TAZO, so my friend and I each bought a case. The Ice Creamed Myself flavor was caramel banana… let me just say that the flavor was pure banana and the ice cream was top quality. You can look them up on Facebook or see them at the Punk Rock market on the eastside, two weekends a month. Thank you, Tanya and Unilocal, for organizing this great event, and for introducing me to some new great food!

In the past I would have given this place 5 stars but then I found myself giving out too many 5 star reviews. They truly have to blow me away now to get 5 stars. I think they deserve 4.5 stars. Wish Unilocal would allow half points. Went here to a Unilocal event and sampled a buffalo chicken egg roll, fried shrimp, and bacon mac and cheese. All were super yummy but the egg roll took the cake. Can’t wait to go back to try other things on the menu. I didn’t see a dessert menu which was odd.

So since I live in Horizon, I usually don’t venture downtown very often. However! After visiting Nolita’s last night during an Official Unilocal event, I think I have found a reason to visit downtown more often! First off, the staff at Nolita’s was SUPER friendly. We brought our boys with us, and our waitress made sure we had everything we needed to try and appease our small kiddos. The owner was cool too. We got to hear some backstory on the restauraunt, and learn about its history and direction. Pretty cool story if you ask me. The food was outstanding! During the Unilocal event, we were able to sampled several different entrées, and none of them dissapointed. My wife and I actually ordered some food on the side as well, and I swear I had the best Mushroom burger I have ever had in my life! Yes, that good! Parking isn’t too bad downtown near Nolita’s, especially after work hours. There are some paid parking lots right next door, and parking meters lining the streets. Make sure to bring a few dollars in change when you come and visit!

Great food and atmosphere. Besides what they served at the Unilocal event, I ate their scampi pasta. It’s an angel hair pasta with tomatoes and garlic butter sauce.(I believe.) You can add shrimp or chicken.(+$ 5 – 6) The portion wasn’t too big. If you go there with an empty stomach, you may need to order some appetizers. My husband ordered a sandwich and the total was only $ 22. For the quality of the food, I think it was pretty cheep. The atmosphere was great too. Pretty spacious restaurant. I liked that they had big windows so that you can see the nice view of the town. I’m excited to go back and try something different!

Delicious! Had the spicy flatbread with garlic parmesan fries. Get the tropical tea and you’re golden. Also I recommend the Louisiana panini. Hope this place stays open

Came here for lunch today and my first impression was, «woah, this place is big». Décor: Modern, black and red color scheme. I met up with a couple of friends who were already seated, and was greeted right away by the server who offered something to drink. When ordering, we asked some questions about items on the menu and the waitress seemed to always have go back to ask the chef. Also, when I asked her about the«sidewinders», which are basically just curly fries, I asked what they were seasoned with and she explained the frying process… umm what? I ended up ordering the shrimp scampi which was really good. I also had the«butter pecan chocolate cake» which did not taste at all like butter pecan, but still managed to be delicious. Overall, the food is great but when the servers are not aware of what the hell they are talking about, it makes me second guess going to the restaurant to dine. I’m sorry but there’s nothing worse than a server who doesn’t know what they are serving.

During a Saturday afternoon in Downtown, my cellmate and I were ready to get our grub on with a couple of friends. I quickly remembered reading about a restaurant that recently opened it’s doors and knew that was where we needed to go since our group was all adventurous in the foodie department. We were around the baseball field at the time and because of the construction going on, GPS wasn’t able to give me a route and if you don’t know me… I’m pretty useless without GPS. But luckily I do spend a good amount of time in the Downtown area so I was able to help with the navigation part… okay, maybe we just followed San Antonio Ave. until we found Nolita’s(we were pulling their information from their FB page and it didn’t specify East or West… it’s East). It’s in a pretty great location, right across from the courthouse so I’m willing to bet they’ll be pretty packed for lunch during the week. Parking can be a little cooky, but what are you going to do? It’s Downtown… walk. When we finally found a spot to park, we walked back and were greeted by the chef. I love that. I love any restaurant that will greet people outside when they have the downtime. They had just opened for the day so we had our choice of tables and I immediately gravitated to the tables on the deck level. Seated right in front of large tinted windows looking out at Downtown El Paso I fell in love with NCB’s atmosphere. The inside of NCB is beautiful too. The wood structure in the middle of the room adds dimension to the otherwise open area and you get a nice little view to the kitchen through a small space surrounded by black and white photos of places around El Paso. Our server was clearly new… which is kind of expected since NCB is still in their soft opening(grand opening is on February 27th). He really just needed to shadow someone who’s been a server before because he came across as very uncertain and nervous about everything. There were times he’d come to the table and then change his mind, he checked on our table way too much, took multiple waters back at once without a visibly clear way to determine who’s was who’s, and he wasn’t familiar with the menu. None of these things upset me or anyone in our group and it didn’t detract from the enjoyment of our meals, but these are areas of improvement that should probably be fixed before the grand opening. I, and everyone else at my table, really liked the food though. I decided to start us off with The Basics while we perused the menus. Just some chips with chile con queso and salsa on the side. It didn’t blow me away, but it was good, at a stellar price(less than $ 5) and perfect for sharing. I was between a couple of different items for my meal, but eventually I was able to settle on the Mushroom Burger with Parmesan fries. I started with the fries because when they came out I saw that they were skinny fries and that’s just about my favorite cut. They were topped with shredded Parmesan, but it wasn’t topped as soon as they were done cooking so unfortunately none of the cheese melted onto them. I feel as though this may be a common problem for restaurants as I see a lot of nicer restaurants use crumbled Parmesan instead. Nonetheless, it did look very delectable with the shredded version. The Mushroom Burger was absolutely YUM. Melted cheddar and tons of cooked mushrooms… too good! I also appreciate that they served the onions, lettuce and tomatoes on the side to give you the options for toppings. I also was lucky enough to steal a bite from Charles’ Santa Barbaran sandwich and I gotta say, I highly recommend it. Now I could be wrong, but I believe it was served on Ciabatta and the brisket was sweet and amazing. After we were done eating we hung around for a bit and ended up speaking with(who I believe was) the owner. And of course during the whole meal I was snapping pictures and posting on IG. As it turned out, they were offering a 10% discount for checking-in online and posting pictures. Sweet! I’m not sure how long they’ll be doing that, but I know every Unilocaler will be taking them up on this offer for as long as it’s going on. I really like this place and I could see myself become a fixture in one of the corner booths.
