Omfg. The food is so good. I hate when I order Paella and it comes out all shriveled and dry. This was not the case, it came out glowing and it sang to me. $ 8 got me Paella & soup. Even their chips and salsa is great. And they don’t hammer you with a large bowl of chips and salsa, it’s just a small itty bitty bowl. Now as for their service, they spoke to me in Spanish. I feel so proud to be accepted as an honorary Mexican. I think this automatically gives me authority to comment on the authenticity. Authentic! Great service, WILL eat here again.

Dropped in for a quick coffee and burrito after being release from jury duty. Food was excellent. Had the chile relleno burito and it had plenty of cheese plus it was spicy. Not to much but enough to give it flavor. Loved it. The downside was the service. Only one other table with a couple. I order a coffee and yes it was during morning hours and my plate arrived before my coffee. The other table had the same issue. I ended having my meal with water. Once coffee arrived he never came back to see about a refill till I was ready for the check. I am hoping the issue was a off day for the server because I would like to come back, would like to try there paella.

I dropped in for a quick bite and didn’t want to leave. Obligatory chips and salsa with a small bowl of excellent beans. I ordered the chilies enogados. they were very delicious. The sauce was very creamy with a nutty flavor. The meat filling was very subtle and did not overpower the walnut sauce. This dish was balanced. Rice and beans were what are expected. I would have liked to try the paella, but I must limit calories. I will definitely come back again with friends or a date the only drawback is you need to bring your own liquor. This could be a plus. Bring a nice bottle of Spanish wine and make a night of it. Highly recommended

After many trips downtown on my days off and the weekend, I came to realize that Downtown El Paso lacks restaurants and places to eat especially around the core of downtown(area around Camino Real and Plaza Theatre). Sure you can find a few fast food restaurants and hole in the wall Mexican eateries and American Chinese buffets as you head further South toward the commercial districts but that’s about it. El Tenedor is an unpretentious yet sophisticated restaurant that serves both Mexican and Spanish(Spain) food in a cozy and homey setting(like if you’re eating at your Hispanic ‘Tia or Aunt’ s house or something). I can’t really talk about the ambiance as I arrived early during the daytime but this place is really about the food. Let me go straight to the food review: Complimentary Chips and Salsa: WoW I don’t know if these are homemade but both were amazing and the Salsa was so flavorful and had that spicy kick. I wonder if I can buy some because it was just that good! Shrimp Ceviche Corn Toast(Shrimp Tostadas): Holy FOODGASM!!! Probably the most flavorful well marinated Ceviche I’ve ever had ever since I left Latin America where I grew up! Dayam, you get two tostadas LOADED with fresh and juicy Shrimp marinated in tomato, onion, cilantro, and hot peppers with Sliced Avocados on top. Next time I visit, gonna try to the Fish one! Tacos al Pastor: Ahhh my favorite type of Taco. Well marinated pork with cilantro and small cubes of Pineapple was a flavor explosion in my mouth! An order has 4 tacos that comes with half of an Avocado and some greens. LOVEDIT! Horchata: Yum and Refreshing and perfect match when eating Mexican food. And less than $ 2! After my meal I got to chat with the owner lady and told her that the food was amazing and she offered me another free glass of Horchata and told me to come back and ‘Like’ the restaurant on Facebook. I told her I’m more active on Unilocal so here I am completing this review and looking forward to revisiting the restaurant this Friday for lunch! **NOTE** They don’t serve alcohol but feel free to BYOB!!!

They serve breakfast also, I had the eggs with chorizo. My husband the Mexican sampler. Everything was good and the service was fast and pleasant. The place was clean but a little dark inside. The food was very good so I would go back.

Tried this place– the inked calamari didn’t look like I expected, but tasted way better than I thought it would(wish it came with more bread). The staff was beyond nice. Don’t go there thinking you need to order a lot, the portions are pretty large and the price is very reasonable. Bottom line — Great place, superb service, very delicious food.(PS, they have boosters but no high-chairs)

This place is GREAT! authentic spanish and mexican food. the Torta de Jamon Serrano, really is serrano ham! The puchero(caldo de res) is delicious and packed with nutritious vegetables and beef. The tortilla española tasted good, but was not the way I had it while living in Spain, it just looked like an egg and potato omelet. The tacos and the Paella are also delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try the fabada! Plus, the beans to dip the tostadas in is probably some of the best I have had in Juarez and El Paso, together! The service is not up to par, but they are barely opening. There a very few waitresses, but they are knowledgeable on the food and extremely friendly. I recommend this place to anyone who loves a good meal!
