Surprised at the mediocre reviews of this place. The beer was cold, the serving staff were attentive and easy on the eyes and the tv screens were everywhere. The Mexico city tacos(barbacoa with guac) were great for a sports bar! Good place to go with your boys. Not the cheapest but wont break the bank either. If i livec around here I woul. Definitely come back!

Great bar staff, very busy, but still had the time to slow down and take care of customers. Good Tex Mex with just enough flavor and green salsa in the side of my taco trio was a perfect match.

Went twice(once on cinco de mayo which was crazy good) and found that even though the service is lacking a bit they make up for it with their food. Spacious place with outdoor seating area.

Came to watch the UFC fight a few weeks ago. Dumb waitress kept messing up our order. Beer and food were good though. Came back for the NFL draft and sat at the bar. Once again bartenders were alright. Food was decent and beer was cold.

I was in town for work and had to stay over the weekend, Super Bowl weekend. So wanted a place that had a lot of Tvs, good food, and good prices. I am glad found this place. I took a seat at the bar since was packed, remember super bowl. I thought would take forever to get service but was surprisingly quick. Ordered beer off draft and was ice cold. Started with appetizer, chips and salsa. Chips were warm and salsa tasted fresh. For meal had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. Tasted fresh and we’ll balanced. Before I left, 4 hours later, I orders a Yucatan burger to take back for dinner. Good choice was hot and fresh.

I like this place for several reasons. The food is good. The staff is friendly and fast, the drinks are somewhat cheap and the atmosphere is awesome. Of course I like beer, hot wings and sports bars so I can understand why some ppl don’t like it. I’ve only been here about 5 times and I liked the steak street tacos, wings are good and hot, but my favorite is the green chili burger. Lots of fun during a football game!

ONE good drink. The rest were mediocre, to say the least. Waitress was ill-informed. She couldn’t provide details to the drinks, and could barely remember the names of the drink specials(Serving 101). Food was lackluster and over-priced, even for the 915. One experience is enough. If I continued to eat and drink, it was done because I was paying for it.

The outside of the building is not very appealing. Don’t worry the inside is not eithet. Brick building with spray painted walls?! Really! The music is very loud. Do not expect to talk across the table as we couldn’t. We had a group of 9 and couldn’t even talk to the guy next to you. The servers are ok to look at. That is the draw to this place right? Not great but some. bette then others. But still good enough to bring young ones in. The service was very slow. We waited forever to get a drink. Once we recieved our food she did come back more often though. The food was small portioned so don’t come hungry or if you do order rhe larger options. If you’re in the area I would recommend twin peaks or any other place for that matter. I won’t come here again. It was not worth my money.

Okay finally checked the last of the breastaurants in El Paso and they weren’t as bad as other reviewers stated they would be. Maybe I went before the lunch rush or just people don’t visit this place as often. Well the food was good. My son had the tacos de puerco(pork tacos), they served him a lot of rice and beans but the tacos were pretty small compared to other places. I had wings, yeah wings in a Mexican restaurants. But they were pretty good. The green chile garlic Parmesan wings were different and tangy. The harabeno pineapple wings were spicy and really had chucks of pineapple. Both flavors were different that what I had in other places. All and all, they are a good place to have a drink and eat. The only thing is they took a bit to get our food, nothing major and the music is not to my taste.

To start off with I have been to the locations in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio prior to my visit here. I love the concept and of course the scenery. Why 3 stars? Going here I did know I was going to over pay for 4 street tacos. The cost was $ 9.50. I am in freakin El Paso I could have gotten the same amount for $ 4. It was the quality that made the experience here suck. The tortillas were cold. I mixed it up and had carnitas, pollo, shrimp, and Al pastor. The only one where the meat was ok was al pastor. I will say the elote(corn) appetizer was solid though. As for the service no complaints at all. The girls were good looking as you would expect. I wasn’t drinking, but my server kept coming by to see if I needed more water and how I was doing with a great smile. All of the workers were pleasant and I noticed they did take care of a large group of Soldiers from Fort Bliss who weren’t drinking either. I was glad to notice that. Overall I am glad I stopped in the rest of my trip I will stick to the local eats. I do wish we had this concept in Los Angeles!

When we’re talking about restaurants that are geared for men, for me(a female), it goes Twin Peaks, Ojos Locos, Hooters. I’ve been told by a very reliable source that the people behind Ojos Locos are the same people behind Twin Peaks and I definitely believe that, but one just feels far superior than the other. I’m not a big fan of the location of this Ojos Locos. Not necessarily where it lies, but what it lies inside. It’s inside a four walled cinderblock wall and while they might’ve put just as much work into designing and building this business as its Twin Peaks counterparts, it would’ve been nice to see something built that was equally nice on the eyes. Yes, I’m asking for it to be more beautiful. It’s just an eye sore. Now on the other hand, I really like the inside. This actually matches what you’d find in a Twin Peaks. Big, open space with a TV backdrop, booths, plenty of seating at the bar. It’s not as themed as one would expect, but it serves it’s purpose. Both times I’ve went I’ve had the pork pastor tacos, but I have had the pleasure of stealing some of their fries of my boyfriends plate. Hell yeah, on their fries! They put a steak seasoning on them and they’re fried to perfection. Love these fries dipped in ranch. The tacos are also quite good, but also very tiny. I like that they add actual pineapple to the pastor tacos(a lot of places skimp on things like this). I think the pineapple might actually be a pineapple salsa because something on these is pretty dang spicy. All around good. The tacos come with a good portion of rice and beans, but because of how small they are you may want to get the four instead of the three(three is the perfect amount for me). The waitresses are always sweethearts. The hostesses are just as nice. I love that everyone is all smiles and it comes across as genuine. They check on the tables the right amount of time and I’ve literally never had to ask for a refill because they always bring a new drink when I’m about halfway done with my current one. The only other thing I’m not a fan is the uniforms. Now, I know what kind of place I’m in so I fully expect to see some cleavage and little shorts or skirts. I just think their uniforms look so cheap. It became immediately apparent to me that they don’t fit these girls for their uniforms because everyone had to cut up the backs to make them fit right. Comparing it again to Twin Peaks, the uniforms over there are just nicer, fitted. And I’m sure for a good number of men, they don’t really care that the uniforms look cheep, even frail and I wouldn’t care if I had never been to a Twin Peaks where there uniforms are totally something you could see someone wearing as a sexy Halloween costume. But now I have standards. Twin Peaks uniforms are like the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader uniforms of sports bar restaurants and Ojos Locos is like city league. Ojos Locos is a good spot for lunch or to catch a game… not necessarily my preference, but a good backup plan especially since it doesn’t really seem to get that busy and they have really good prices on everything. If they open a second location in the area I hope they do a little more to the outside, but other than that they’re pretty much good to go.

This place is on point with what one expects from a sports bar. There are too many TV’s to count. The staff is responsive and friendly and it is clear that the management is involved. On this occasion I chose the Taco’s(Pastor) which came with three but you can get four and beans and rice. I was hungry and I was expecting it to leave me still hungry but I left more than satisfied. I will definitely return for lunch!

After reading a few of the other reviews in here i had to sit down and really analyze what it was that i liked and didn’t like about the place. This is on the same grounds as say your Twin Peaks restaurant, alot of TV’s around the place, nice décor, simple tables, a feel of spanglish thrown around on the Menu’s and the servers lingo, it can really be seen as a Mexican style TP. Is this place loud? well yes it is, its a sports bar and by far if you are looking for a nice quiet place for conversation this one isn’t it. I visit frequently with a large number of friends and i must say we do get pretty loud at times but it feels comfortable to see other tables doing the same. The food here is pretty good, their Nachos are in my opinion their weakest appetizer since i’ve never been a fan of nachos being individual tostada chips each with their own topping. Their chips and queso is good, and the added jalapenos to the queso make it that much of a better option than most other places that serve it. If you get the boneless wings i would highly suggest the jalapeño lime one’s since they are truly a delicious pick. Their bone out wings are always drenched in sauce as well as being really juicy, compared to most stale wings you find at other similar restaurants. For the Main course i’d suggest their Buffalo Chicken sandwich(substitute the buffalo for the jalapeño lime sauce for amazingness) or the tacos, go for the 4 for 9.95 since they give you the widest option in picking your favs.(Pastor, Carnitas and tilapia is always on my plate) Beer is good, the temp is always cold as it should be and their happy hour is a good one for a sports bar. If you are looking for a place to kick it and watch any game or just sit down and shoot the ish with fellow friends i’d highly recommend this place.

When we moved here 4 months ago, I asked a local guy where I could get good Mexican food and he recommended this place saying yes their food is modern but still tastes authentic. Since then we wanted to give it a try but every time we come here it was always packed even the patio seats. Maybe after the 4th times of trying, we could finally get our seats. It was a very spacious restaurant with so many TVs inside. Considering the size of the restaurant but still it’s always packed, they are making a good business. They also have a huuge bar counter too so it’s perfect for weekend night out if you are fan of any sports. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable. My picky husband always has so many questions but she answered them all. I got pineapple jalapeño wings and half chicken half beef steak nachos. They both were delicious. I liked the idea of their small nachos too. I would definitely come back… If we can ever get seats again.

Confession: I often review places in El Paso as if I’ve never been here. Well, truth is, I lived here 8 yrs ago. However, that was a much different time. Single,(obviously) younger, BROKE! When we arrived 2 months ago, you could Ask me about any bar, club, or fast food restaurant, and I could probably tell you exact location and a story of something stupid(funny) going on there. Ask me about ANYTHING not involving wasting time and money, I’d be confused. Fast forward 8 yrs(all spent in Japan not America) and I’m back,(obviously) older, little more scratch, and a beautiful wife in tow. So it FEELS like this is the first time I’ve ever lived here… So with ALL that being said, we checked out a «new»(cuz every place without a drive-thru) is new to me) place called Ojos Locos. I’m glad we did. The location is right on Airway, next to a fake japanese restaurant Tokyo House,(yes I said fake), across from the Comedy Club /Clicks etc. It is a large building. Seating inside is plentiful. There are a few booths available for older gentleman like myself, but most are elevated tables with elevated bar stool type tables, and there are a lot of them. This place was built to house many guests. And on nights that a sporting event is happening, or PPV fight, many guests it houses indeed. If you need to have a actual conversation with someone, even on a slower night, this is NOT the place. It small talk in a sports bar environment is fine. By all means, enjoy. I counted at least 50, LARGE tvs suspended for all corners and angles you can imagine. There isn’t a single seat in the entire restaurant that you can’t see at least 4 TVs. And as expected, they are all airing sports. Some of which aren’t Even available to the public, which is cool. Last night for example, they were showing the UTEP game, a woman’s basketball game, NFL Network and playoffs preview, UFC Fight Night and UFC Best of 2014… And during the commercials of the UTEP game, they’d switch the sound system to some popular new-ish vocal EDM tracks and mashups(I’m really into EDM that how I knew it was legit music). This is a pretty happening place honestly. As expected(like a Hooters, Twin Peaks) the waitresses are wearing, well basically nothing. So fair warning, if your significant other gets bothered by flirty waitresses(whom are looking for tips obviously, not for you) and skimpy outfits. Don’t go please. Save the drama. Luckily my wife doesn’t really mind that much, as she knows she’s hotter than them anyways, and(JUSTMYPREFERENCE so don’t get bent) I super am not interested in any woman with tattoos. Well guess what. They’re all young, and tatted up lol. So im safe… Thank god too, cuz this place is good and id love to go back. Lastly, as I was checking in, Unilocal!Of course asks me if this place has parking blah blah. It asks are they good for kids? I of course click NO. I mean this is a full service bar with multiple security guards. It probably gets rowdy. Just as I clicked NO, the waitress sets up a high chair next to us and a family sits down with a baby. And the. Another across the room. So I’m sorry Unilocal!,I take it back. They can and will accommodate children… Guess I was wrong. Whether the kids will enjoy it or not, I don’t know. One things for sure, my kids won’t ever be at a sports bar with booty short wearing women until they are at least like 15 .But that’s just me. Maybe 13… But to each their own. Don’t take parenting advice from me. Raise your kids how you see fit… Maybe 12 if the big game is on. On to the food! So the food here was delicious. Simple as that. It’s a sports bar type menu, with MORE Mexican items than most places. While the regular sports bar staples are there; Burgers, fries, wings, etc. But it also has some super legit chicken sandwiches, tacos, churros, nachos, horchata etc. It’s a Bar/Grill with a(in my opinion) authentic Mexican twist. As far as drinks go. FULLBAR means full bar. You want it try got it. Including those SUPERTALL looking(not sure the name bug to me it’s a giant like 4 ft bong) that sits on your table and has a spout and you and your friends pour your own beer until it’s gone. Great idea to get customers drinks when they want and free up waitresses for other tasks. Soft drinks too. I’ve been sober for 4 yrs and they had enough non alcoholic drinks to satisfy me. No worries there. We ordered the Queso y chipotle for starters. It was delicious. The chips were nice. Definitely not your average store bought chips and/or cheese. I recommend it. We also ordered 12 bone out Spicy Buffalo and 6 Bone In Pineapple Habenero wings. BOTH super spicy and so freaking delicious. A must get! And we ordered the half steak half chicken nachos off the appetizers menu. HUGE. Although on apps menu, it served as a FULL meal for my wife, and for sure a hearty app for a table of 2 – 4. Unique nachos, as each chip had refried beans, cheese, steak/chicken baked right into it. #ZeroMess #DasItMayne

It’s not very helpful to describe Ojos Locos as a Mexican Twin Peaks in the city with the Mexican Twin Peaks, but that’s just what it is, they’re actually owned by the same company, though for El Pasoans it’s more comparable to locally grown Cabo Joe’s. Not to say there isn’t any originality to OL, because there is, it’s just not as much as I imagine it is in other cities. I like the food, but I’m easy to satisfy on that because I’m a huge fan of sports bar food(wings, nachos, etc), but I appreciate the Mexican additions and latin twist on the menu, like the wing sauces(Mexican Coke BBQ and jalapeño lime). They make a really good Shrimp Cocktail here, it’s a great appetizer. The street tacos are alright, average by EP standards, but you get a ton of TVs with them, the beef fajita and al pastor were my favorite. I’m a wing guy, so I had to give their signature wing sauces a try: the Mexican Coke BBQ is good, but a little sweet for my taste, but the jalapeño lime I really like, tangy but muy picante, just like me! Ojos Locos is a great place to watch sports, they have a ton of TVs, and fortunately it’s a pretty big location with lots of tables. Parking is a different story, it is a bit of a mess because it gets so full, carpool if you can. Considering that OL is related to Twin Peaks, it is remarkable how much better the service is at Ojos Locos, the staff has been very helpful and friendly the two times I’ve visited, I hope they keep it up. Love the free WiFi!
