One of the best apartments I have lived in. The location is awesome, you’re literally next to a running/walking trail. There is a gas station, Subway, Chinese restaurant, cleaners, Dollar General and pizza place across the street. Traffic is relatively light with a quick drive to Transmountain or I-10. Or if you need more shopping, a Wal Mart Neighborhood Market is only 2 miles down the street along with more options for food. Staff is very friendly and quick to respond to questions. Grounds are well kept, though I wish there were more grills. I do wish some residents would be more respectful and clean up after their dogs and this is despite ownership providing poop bags. Also wish some dog owners would stop letting their dogs run off leash. However, those issues are not the fault of management. Speaking of dogs, they do not have breed restrictions. Good to know they don’t stereotype against your dog. There is plenty of parking with some covered spots. I do wish they had more garages as the first time I lived here(I lived here twice with a deployment in between) it was a 6+ month wait for a garage. Neighbors are friendly and it seems like you establish«your» spot in the lot not long after moving in. The gym is very nice, it’s not a place where power lifters would go but it’s great because it’s private, kept clean, ventilated and the cardio machines have TV to help you lose the thoughts of how much it burns while burning calories. This is not the cheapest apartment you can find in El Paso but to me, the amenities, the quiet and awesome environment make it worth it. Did I mention the pool? It’s very nice, it’s clean and people have consideration for each other while using it. Some just sun bathe, others just take a quick dip while others just use the grills. Plenty of tables and seating in the pool area. The apartments themselves are quite nice. The walls are not super thin so you don’t hear the neighbors much. The appliances included are new. You have to provide your own washer and dryer though there are hookups though the coin operated facility is nice. The coin operated facility is locked and accessible only to residents and very reasonable in cost at $ 1.25/wash and $ 1.25/dry. Bedroom(s) and living room have fans. Water costs are very reasonable. Dumpster locations are very convenient for most buildings though the recycling dumpster is quite a walk for most. The front office ladies are very nice. If you have a package that arrived at the office and go to pick it up, they will remember who you are and engage you in friendly small talk. You never feel brushed aside. Maintenance man is very nice as well, gives a friendly wave when you see him. Love the gated atmosphere. It’s quiet and it’s a place where you feel safe. I would absolutely live here again.

Don’t let the great exterior of the property fool you as the management is sub par!

Looking for an apartment on the Westside? Considering Puerta Villa at Cimarron? Just do it! I’ve come to understand that apartments, lofts, condos, and houses will always be transparent. If you can find something you don’t like about a potential living space… there will be more. And how many things you can find that you don’t like will have a direct correlation to your property manager and/or landlord’s attitude. A summary of my first four apartments: #1 It’s bigger than I thought. The appliances are older than Betty White and the trail of ants that bypass the ramen in my kitchen to crawl through a crack in the ceiling tells me a hoarder lives upstairs. But it’s not bad, I can get used to it(Moved after 6 month lease was up). #2 A studio apartment. It’s only $ 50 cheaper than my last apartment. But there’s a tennis court! #3 Cinder.block.walls. #4 Read my review on the Spring Park Apartments. And finally, I made the decision to just pay more(but after getting an awesome deal, actually ended up being almost the same as what I was paying at SPA). How do you know when you’ve paid more to the right people? They offer you water and coffee and hot chocolate and little sweets that are in a bowl on their desk. And you don’t walk to the apartments, they drive you in a golf cart. And they smile a lot. There’s quite a few different floorplans available at PVC. The townhouses are huge, but in reality all of the floorplans are spacious. As a female, the first thing I beeline for is the closets. Diamonds aren’t a girl’s best friend, walk-in closets are. The walk-in closets are as Jackie Chan would say«Dope!»(okay, maybe I’m taking that out of context from Rush Hour 3, but you get the point). And the next thing I look at is the kitchen… appliances are new, new, new. Microwave included. And lastly, but possibly most importantly, the cooling system. When I ask about a cooling system and I get a long explanation about why they still have swamp coolers, I put on my Daymond John glasses(last celebrity, I promise) and say, «I may not know a lot about swamp coolers, but what I do know is they don’t work and for that reason, I’m OUT.» And with a newer complex like PVC, yes, they have refrigerated air! 3 for 3! Pet policy is awesome. As of today, there are no weight restrictions so there was no twisting of the arms to get the complex to accept my 50ish pound pup. And the amenities. Amenities for dayssss. The pool is heated. There’s cabana like structures throughout the complex. 24-hour gym. Office opened everyday(or at least ever day I need it to to be). Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate in the clubhouse. Free wi-fi in the clubhouse, gym, and near the pool. TV in the clubhouse. Pet stations(you know where you can get poop bags and throw them away). Lots of grass and beautiful landscaping. A 2-mile walking/running trail right outside the gates. Oh ya, it’s gated. There’s a well maintained laundry room on site. Grills throughout, that the complex cleans weekly. Garages and carports available. Oh and the people who live and work here are ridiculously friendly. Yes, I love this complex and the management company. They handle everything quickly and are extremely accommodating. I cannot recommend them enough. If you are even slightly considering moving to the Westside, go to PVC first!
