They don’t pay there phone bill. Trying to place a phone order and there cricket phone I’d disconnected. What a joke.

Came here for lunch and service was quick and friendly. Even though it was a bit small and crowded, the interior had a shack feel and for a moment it felt like I was at the beach having lunch. I got the shrimp ceviche plate and my husband got the fish tacos, shrimp quesadillas, and their shack tacos. My ceviche was yummy and fresh. For 8 dollars or so I was very full. The fish tacos and shrimp quesadillas were okay. But the shack tacos were omg good! I’m definitely getting that one next time I go. The table next to us got some soup and it smelled delicious. Getting that one on my next visit as well!

I ordered the fish tacos and steak tacos and I have to say that the fish tacos were the best fish tacos I have had. The steak tacos were good but not the best I have had. It gets 5 stars from me because I was really surprised at how good the fish tacos were.

Rudest service I have ever experienced. Waiter had the worst attitude. Food not good enough to overlook the horrible service.

Finally tried the Little Shack after hearing such high praise. All in all I thought the food was but nothing really stood out to me. Came in on a chilly Friday afternoon. Service was prompt and polite. Food came out fairly quickly and for 10 bucks I got three tacos and the complimentary chips so not bad. Ordered a steak taco, fish taco, and shrimp taco. I added cheese to steak and avocado to the other two. Very generous slices of avocado(almost too much really since it overwhelmed the small taco). I love love the salsa that came with the chips. Very different, very creamy. Little Shack’s chips are fine but there is a sharpness to them that I don’t know if I really like. Its lke they were almost too crispy and capalbe of cutting your mouth if not careful. The tacos themselves were fairly small and prepared on fresh corn tortillas. Unfortunately, the fish was buried in other ingredients and I didn’t really taste the fish. The shrimp tacos were probably the best taco of the bunch. The steak was very finely ground. Hard to really gauge the meat when prepared that way. However, I loved the chipotle dressing and avocado dressing they provide on the side. Again, good value for the cost but I wasn’t blown away.

Had to try it, after hearing all the fuss of «how great the fish tacos are », so we tried it out. It was ok, nothing to great about it, I’ve tasted better. Service was good.

I frequent this spot for lunch, and I always leave satisfied. The place looks exactly as the name suggests, it’s a little shack with a cool vibe. I’ve only tried the tacos(fish tacos, little shack tacos, and steak tacos), so I can’t speak to anything else, but the tacos are always great. My favorite are the little shack tacos which are basically small shrimp quesadilla’s. Service can be hit and miss. I’ve never had horrible service or long wait times, but on more than one visit, my waiter(same waiter both times) offered to refill my drink but never brought it back. It’s worth noting, this is a BYOB establishment that charges for setups. So if you plan to have a beer or wine with your meal you need to bring your own.

Food is good, but service was horrible. Sat for 15 mins. before a menu was given to us. Another 10 mins. for water. 20 mins. for food. It was not even at capacity when we went. My clamato tasted like straight A1 sauce.

Okay, don’t let the outside full you, this place is so cute inside and the food is even better. I always get the veggie tacos but have tried the beer battered fish taco and it’s just as great. You can buy 3 tacos for about 7 bucks or buy them individually to mix and match. It comes with two different sauces, I think one is an avocado like dressing and the other one is a little spicy. Both are amazing! You can also byob as long as you pay to bring it in. Service is great, and anytime I drive past it I always have to get my taco fix.

Stopped by The Little Shack for a quick late lunch with a friend. Service was quite fast, even with a plethora of patrons awaiting or already enjoying their meals. This is actually my second time there, which I tried their Steak Tacos! It was like a symphony in my mouth! Definitely plan on going back in the future. This establishment does serve beer too. Highly recommend this place to the novice!

A friend and I had just finished a hike at McKelligon with our dogs and we were super hungry and thirsty! Unfortunately not many places are pet friendly around El Paso. We called up Little Shack and they said as long as the patio wasn’t full we could bring the dogs. The service was great and the food even better! Stopped at Valero and bought some Lemonade-Rita and ordered oyster shooters, shrimp ceviche, and the best, toritos! Shrimp stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon. Amazing. You can also smoke on the patio so my friend and I were in heaven. Definitely going back!!!

fish tacos were excellent, the order of 3 is very filling. The fish soup was very tasty with big pieces of fish. It had a good spicy taste. The queso fundido with shrimp was very flavorful. The service was friendly and helpful in making recommendations. I definitely will go in again to try more plates.

This little shack is pack filled with large amount of flavorful dishes. Beginning with the oyster shots! Yummy served with lime wedges and an array of chile sauces to spice up the already great tasting shot. My favorite is the cholula smokey flavor makes the oyster shot so very good. Had three shots! There is no alcohol served here, but you can bring your own and they are placed in a bucket with ice. I personally did not bring some beer, shucks! But next time for sure ! I enjoyed some little shack tacos in tortillas de Maiz soft and warm. Cabbage and avocado topped, two salsas accompany the plates, a chipotle based orange salsa and a creamy white avocado/cilantro which was spicy and refreshing. Quaint little shack with smiling servers. If you don’t bring your own beer, order the Te shekiado.

I will state the food was decent, but I had a terrible experience at this restaurant on the 4th of July. I’m severely allergic to avocado and I asked the waitress for no avocado because I’m allergic and she took no issue with the request. Later, I noticed her arguing with the cook though as she was about to serve an order that was ready and I heard him LOUDLYPROCLAIM«i don’t give a fuck» in spanish(granted my spanish isn’t great, but I know enough to understand«I don’t give a fuck»). She then served us and my plate had avocado. I then told her i wasn’t kidding about my food allergy and she scraped the avocado off my plate. I attempted to eat my food, but I was so nervous and upset I ended up in tears, so we paid for our food(MOSTOFMINEUNEATEN) and left. I HAVENEVEREXPERIENCEDSUCHAGGRESSIVEBEHAVIORFROM A COOKBEFORE. I don’t blame the server, she did her job and conveyed my request. I blame the cook who has no regard for a customer’s well being, only his ego and how he feels the dish should be served. I had so many emotions run through me at that moment I couldn’t even think straight, I was so shaken and scared all I could do was cry. if I could give them zero stars I would. I sincerely hope that cook was fired as he poses a serious liability to the health of people. Eat at Little Shack at your own risk if you have food allergies. More than likely the cook«won’t give a fuck»

I have them three stars for the food. The tacos are so good and filling. Sometimes just two tacos there and I’m stuffed! I’m a fan of their shrimp and fish tacos. Not that big of a selection on their drinks tho. this place can get too crowed cause it’s small, but they do have TVs! There is no such thing as service with a smile there even if you try to make your server laugh. Sometimes they even forget you or so it feels that way. Even right when you walk, you get that vibe like«ugh customers» well sorry your food is so good, lucky I know how serving is so I’ll still leave a tip.

If you think it’s a bad idea to order fish/shrimp tacos in the middle of the desert at a place where the bathrooms are located outside of the restaurant… you are correct! Don’t waste your time here. The staff doesn’t really want to serve you, so don’t bother them. The food was pretty bad. Even a bowl of lemon wedges couldn’t help. The fried fish was flavorless and the shrimp was tough and overcooked. Even the iced tea is terrible. If you are dragged into this place, order the steak tacos and leave your kids at home. We ordered the shrimp and fries for my four year old and it was awful(after that meal, my son doesn’t trust me when I try to feed him). To be fair we had really high expectations and had just had really good shrimp tacos at another restaurant two days before.

Good food, low prices, service could use a bump, but I wasn’t expecting the Ritz. I wiah they offered grilled fish tacos instead of just the fried, but they were still good. I’m in town for a week and will probably go back for lunch again.

Food wasn’t bad, and the prices were very reasonable. My friend is in love with their shrimp tacos(which looked and probably tasted better than the the steak tacos I ordered). There was a good amount of steak in my tacos, and it was well seasoned. Unfortunately, the tortillas had a grainy texture and overall, I thought the tacos were dry. I enjoyed taking my pick of five different hot sauces in the table though. FYI: There are three flat screens that were playing espn college football the Saturday night I dined in. Sweet. I’m glad I checked out the little shack. Not sure when I’ll be back. but if I go, I’ll try those shrimp tacos my friend raves about.

No, no, no, no, no, NO. First of all, I love ‘hole-in-the-wall’ joints, because I believe they make the best food. However, this place had the most awful tacos. Tortillas were tough and grainy.(I know, grainy tortillas? How is that even possible?) Beef, shrimp, chicken were all lacking in flavor. The only plus part were the price. It’s cheap. But I guess you get what you paid for. Service was disgusting. When we walked in, no one greeted us. Instead, the girl who looked like may have been the server looked at us like we were aliens. I understand there aren’t many Asians in El Paso, but try to hide your ugly expression. After we seated ourselves, she finally came over and took our drink orders. When we were ready to order our meals, she leaned against the empty chair next to ours and let out a great ‘sigh’ when my friend thought aloud between shrimp and beef. She then continued to roll her eyes after we decided. We thought about ordering more tacos, so when we said, «oh, and, maybe we should get another shrimp taco,» she slammed her hand against the chair and stared at us. We decided against getting another taco, since she may have killed us if we stalled any longer. I would never return.

Growing up in California you would think that finding a great fish taco would be quite a chore in the Southwestern town of El Paso, Texas. I assure you it is not thanks to «The Little Shack». We now frequent this establishment often for their fish and shrimp tacos(mainly the fish). Although we have not tried anything else on the menu other than the fish/shrimp tacos and oyster shots, it is safe to say these are the best fish tacos we have ever had. Sorry California, you loose. Be sure to order the fish tacos with avocado and both sauces and don’t forget the shaken tea! The only thing missing is the ocean view. Would give it five stars but sometimes the music is too loud.
