If I could give a 0 I would. All our food was RAW, pancakes, sausage and eggs. The lady told me I shouldn’t have ordered over easy if I didn’t want them that way. The white was slimy and raw. Service was sadly worse. Our waitress didn’t come by once without us flagging down another employee. Needless to say we never got to eat our remade food due to POORSERVICE and frank rudeness of the staff. Saved the best for last… they MADEUSPAY for everything when all that was eater was 1 bacon strip and 1 sausage out of 2 plates of food. Oh wait they took off an order of eggs and acted like they did us a favor. Now I’m late to work and I haven’t had breakfast.

This is based on a one time visit on a Sunday. I arrived at 1100 am and the place was packed, so I placed an order for take out. The pancakes were delicious. It was worth the wait. If I’m ever in town again, I will definatly be back

Two Separate visits, 1 breakfast &1 dinner, both unsatisfactory. Food was served undercooked, cold and or greasy and basically inedible. On both occasions the servers just brought plates to table and left never to return for refills or a check back. Mgrs walk around and ask«how’s everything?» but pay no attention to any response– even when that response is totally unfavorable. Now I paid full price for both meals(I never expect or angle for comps), and I mentioned my dissatisfaction to mgrs on duty. I received acknowledgement of the issue, but ultimately it appears nothing was done to change or improve food or service, either that or servers disregard any«coaching» from managers. In either case the service has affected business, I saw very few people in the restaurant during busy breakfast and dinner rushes. I asked my extended family here about their experience with area VI’s and to a person all remarked«poor food, and very poor service – will not return». You can now add my name to that growing list. Contacting VI customer service just gets routed to franchisee and then apparently gets dismissed. IMHO, Corporate needs to set and enforce standards for their franchises, otherwise risk irreparable damage to the VI corporate name and goodwill.

This village inn seems to be the cleanest in town which is why I usually will go to this location if I go. Normally, I’ve had no issues except this time we were seated in a booth on the right side of the restaurant where you could see into the kitchen. I saw several things which were unsettling: 1) the manager kept walking into the kitchen and handling food while her long hair was loose. 2) the servers prepped several items with bare hands. 3) one of the servers brought back a single plate and commented that a customer said it was too cold. She proceeded to put it in the microwave for about a minute instead of getting a fresh order made. When it came out, she touched the food with her fingers to test the warmth. That is absolutely digusting considering all the cash and everything else a server handles. I won’t be back to this location, clearly they don’t know a thing about food safety.

Whenever we visit an area with a Village Inn we like to stop. The food is usually good and so is the service. This one is good on both counts. I almost always have a breakfast and so far I can’t remember a bad one. The last time we stopped and ate here we bought a Cherry Pie to bring home… it was awesome, especially with a scoop of ice cream after heating the pie slice in the microwave for 35 seconds… This place is really crowded on the weekends so get here early if you don’t want to wait for a seat.

My absolute favorite pecan pie and favorite carrot cake! Luscious deliciousness! Not many places where the desserts are in line with the menu photos. So flippin amazing! Great service too. Roger and Raul were friendly, polite and spot on with recommendations.

We stopped here on the 17th while traveling and I can say I wish every place had customer service like this. The food was hot and delicious. I don’t eat at places like this very often but it was in the parking lot of our hotel and we could walk over. A manager was walking around making sure everyone was happy and our waitress Sabrina was almost too attentive lol! Go Texas for your hospitality!

We heard the reviews for the Village Inn’s holiday pies so decided to purchase an apple pie for Christmas. What a disappointment! The apples tasted canned, the crust wasn’t fully baked and the filling was so watered down. If this is quality all American pie, what a shame. Should have settled for Albertson’s bakery.

Service was friendly, food was ok. Had a bacon incident with Karla. I don’t like being charged extra for something that should come with my meal. It got handled, I just wasn’t impressed. Bottom line: no bueno for me

On travel, decided to try this place because as i was driving by i noticed the parking lot was full. Prompt service, very friendly staff. Manager came by to ask customers how meals were. Waitress offered prompt refills. For breakfast I had the Carnita skillet with eggs sunny side up and a side of pancakes. Yummy, sauce was good, carnitas had a nice flavor. pan cakes light and fluffy. Only negative were the grilled onions, you could taste the fact that the onion was well past its time. Overall 3.5 for my entrée 4.5 on service 3 for cleanliness.(My table had jelly on it and I did not notice when I sat down. Stained the sleeve of my shirt.)

Small portions, and less than stellar service. Asked for apple pie to be heated up for ala mode, the server reheated it with the ice cream on it. Ordered 2 pieces of French toast, received one slice cut in two pieces(every other VI we’ve been to on the east side gives 2 slices.

An average VI. Decent food, good service, and of course, PIE. This place seemed like a revelation after the IHOP debacle, but in reality it’s just another breakfast restaurant. Free WIFI though, yay!
