I had to board my cat while we were getting the roof replaced. I had to cancel several times secondary to the roofers schedule and AMG was fine with that and never charged me a cancelation fee. No cat likes to leave home, but she was safe and taken care of. The staff even mentioned I was free to call anytime to check in on her.

We bring our dog here on a regular basis for day care, grooming, and have boarded her several times. The staff is super friendly, our pup is always so excited coming here, we wouldn’t take her anywhere else.

Playa Del Rey, Los Angeles, CA
I needed to find a new and regular groomer for my cat that’s closer to my place and based on the reviews, decided to give AMG a try. Well the first appointment I made, the groomer canceled and I wasn’t notified until I was already on my way in with the cat. I went ahead and rescheduled for the following weekend only to have the groomer cancel yet again about 45 mins before the appointment. I guess they don’t want my business…

This was our first time trying AMG so I emailed them through their website with some initial questions and for a quote. Stephanie was quick to respond and was very helpful with setting the appointment. She allowed us to tour the facilities with our dogs beforehand as well to make sure it was a good fit. Our dogs stayed in the Safari cottage with their own little bed and TV, it was really cute. It costs a bit more for the added privacy of a cottage but my dog freaked out the last time we took him to a kennel-​like place. His behavior upon our return was much more normal and he seemed pretty relaxed, so it was worth the extra $$ in my opinion. We (my dogs) will be back next time I’m due for a vacay.

We brought our dog in for his first haircut and Danny (the groomer) did a fantastic job. The kind staff gave me an impromptu tour of the facility. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the facility (no pee smell!) and how caring the staff was towards the animals. All of the dogs seemed very happy there.

Just wanted to to update to say that we boarded our cat here two times, for several days each time, recently. We used to board him at his vet’s office, but after the vet retired, we hadn’t been able to find anywhere new to board him that didn’t make him very anxious and upset. I also hated leaving him in a little metal cage at some other places. The boarding space here for cats is very nice, clean, spacious, and not near dogs (a problem we had at other boarding facilities). The staff is friendly and even let me accompany Baxter to see where he’d be staying. The best part is that Baxter came home both times in a good mood and stress-​free. I highly recommend AMG for both grooming and boarding.
