Have lived in El Segundo for 6 years and have never tried this place. Went tonight with the Hubby hoping to find a good fast Mexican place near our house(there’s a Cilantro right by us but it’s just not very good). Went inside, no one behind the register, no one in the kitchen, no one anywhere except for the fish in the tank. Waited about 3 minutes(which felt like forever), then finally started to yell«Hello? Anyone here?» for another couple of minutes. No response, so we up and left! Hard to do business if you have no one manning your restaurant! Good thing we weren’t trying to rob the place or there would be nothing left! So here we are at Cilantro once again… Needless to say, prob won’t be back to Chile Verde.

I’ve been here plenty of times, even met the owner(who is very polite) but I have to say that I will never go here again after today’s experience. The cashier is beyond rude. She doesn’t smile, doesn’t greet, just asks what you want, and when I asked for guac and sour cream she gave me a bad attitude and changed the order. This wasn’t the first time she has given an attitude me and other customers. My order was waiting on the counter for about five minutes before she even handed it to me. Btw, the girl handed out two other orders before handing mine out. And I ordered before them and she kept looking inside the bag so she knew it was there. When I went to my car my gut was telling me to check my food. I looked inside what I asked for was not done. I wanted guac and sour cream and nothing was on it, so I open it, nothing. I went back inside and the cooks said(in Spanish) looks she’s back. I may not speak it, but I understand it. This other girl came and I told her the guac was not there and I opened it nothing. Then the cashier became very defensive and stated it was inside. I reiterated it to her, no I checked its not there. The cooks literally turned my food inside out to show me it’s there. Overall, horrible customers service. I don’t care if it’s the wrong order, how you presented yourself is very disrespectful and makes your place of business look really bad. I will NEVER order from here again.

Looking for a quick option before dropping in for my afternoon client meeting close to LAX, I drove in front the small shopping plaza and saw their sign. Mexican, or in this case pseudo Mexican food is always easy and simple, so I pulled a U turn and came in with low expectations. This counter service, so really nothing to write home about, although it was jovial and friendly. I had a veggie quesadilla and the portion was generous and tasty with a decent amount of grilled vegetables. Wash this down with a cool drink and I was good to go. Not a bad option if you are driving around El Segundo with a couple of minutes to spare and catch a bite.

Food is OK. Nothing great at all here. But I stop in here from time to time to change it up. The staff are complete goons. They are constantly messing up my order, and they dont seem like they want to be there. But way over priced considering how neutral the taste of the food is.

Ok, we stopped by, on our way to LAX, used to be Green Burrito, but now, come on bros, take some pride in what you call Mexican food, youre Latino bros, at least let it have an inkling of flavor, this was bland at best, 16 bucks for a burrito, enchilada, wi a side of rice and beans, and a soda, that food is not even worth that, you should start a humanitarian shop for the homeless, theyd eat it, we were highly disappointed, I wanted to ask for my money back, but wifey calmed me on that, or I would have. Please avoid, Brents would have been the same price, only better for the money.

I like to be positive about small businesses. Many of my reviews are generally positive. Just walked out of this place. Register guy can’t leave front for over five minutes just now at 3pm… Four people were now waiting to order. We had not seen an employee… Woman behind me said that’s gross if he’s been in the restroom this whole time. That was too much to hear. I left!

Food is simple and the staff is generally good. I’m a creature of habit and get the tostada each time; sometimes shrimp, or chicken. It’s a good salad and although the salsa bar is limited, it’s easy and fresh.

I watched the guy microwave my enchilada in the styrofoam container. That doesn’t upset me as much as the fact that he overdid it, and the tortilla was tough and inedible. My order was to go and it was too much trouble to go back. I like the salsa, and the rice and beans were okay. I used to come here when I lived nearby, but won’t make the out of the way trip to go back.

My son loves their combo meals. I love the horchata and orange bang mix. Good Mexican rice and tacos.

We had the red burrito and the crunchy carnitas tacos. Service was good, food was good. We would most definitely return. Chips and beans good!

Went to get lunch for coworkers and I. Talk about a let down! What I ordered and what I ended up with were not the same. And for the love all that is good in the universe, please put sour cream with the rolled tacos, guacamole alone doesn’t cut it! I’ll give this place another chance, and see if it gets better. Today, it was definitely NOT on point.

No. No. No. No. No! I went here and within a couple of hours was SICKTOMYSTOMACH. I think it was the buffet style salsa’s I chose to consume. Big no no. Plus, they weren’t even covered with a sneeze guard. I should’ve known better, but my hunger and appetite got the best of me in that weak moment. The food was hella sub-par. The only plus was prompt customer service. Everything else stinks. Never going there again.

This locals only place is located in a strip mall in El Segundo. I was a bit apprehensive to order food here but was impressed with the preparation, quality & flavor of the food. I liked it so much that I returned with my co-worker a couple days later while in town for business. I ordered two different combo platters during our two visits. The tacos and enchiladas were very good. I’d definitely go back and try some other things on the menu. Good for a quick bite for lunch.

I was here a couple of years ago and had the special of the day, which consisted of three shredded chicken tacos, rice, beans, chips and a drink. The tacos were very good as were the beans and rice. The chips were a little on the greasy side. The inside of the restaurant was very small, casual and unassuming. Would never have guessed the food was going to be as good as it was.

The tacos and burritos are ok. The rice and beans are tasteless filler. The chicken was really dry.

Came and grabbed lunch. The food was priced okay. I ordered taquitos, and she got flautas with rice and a drink. Total was around $ 14. They both came with chips and salsa. The taquitos tasted a little too oily. You can see the grease seeping through the tortilla. Her flautas(chicken) looked much better, and tasted good. The chicken didn’t taste dry or anything. I had a taste of her rice, and it was a little bland. I’ll probably give it another go, just to try something else on the menu. Perhaps a burrito or tacos. I’ll re-review at that point.

Summary: — Staff friendliness… meh — Food… meh ******* Personal rule. Do not waste too much time writing a 1 – 3 star review unless you really, really, really want to BASH the crap out of them. I don’t feel like bashing this place… after all, I wanted to like this place. But I definitely should have gone to Pollo Loco or the other few places beside it… ******* Service…at least when we were there… she seemed to be more interested in cleaning than anything else. — We waited at least 10 minutes before ordering. — She got one of our orders wrong. — She KEPT cleaning everything around us. It was like… woah, OCD some? Food…argh, meh. — Fajitas plate [ ] — we wanted the Fajitas salad instead but this came. I couldn’t be bothered to complain anymore so we just went with it. The problem? The amount of freaking GREASE/OIL/HEARTKILLER/ARTERYCLOGGER…at the bottom of the plate. Oh yeah, the bell peppers and onions were BEYOND overcooked. They became so mushy that a 2 year old can eat it. — Chili Verde [ ] — Well, if your establishment name is the same as a food dish, I’d somewhat immediately expect it to be good right? Not in this case… flavor was lacking, pork was really TOUGH, rice was really dry and crunchy… Sighs.
