In my second order from Electric Dreams I ordered a bunch of stuff. I live in Michigan and I wanted something other than USPS delivery for Christmas. I was not able to accomplish that through PayPal checkout but thru email with Jason Nash I made the appropriate arrangements for payment and was successful! Unfortunately there was a mistake in my order on their end, a simple transposition of stock number and easy to understand how it could happen. I called and talked with Jason Nash who gave me instructions for the return and said he would ship out the correct item. True to his word, and despite being loaded with other Christmas orders he shipped my item the following afternoon. I, in turn, shipped back the incorrect item. Unbelievably, the next day my item was on my porch! Super job, Jason Nash! I will continue to shop at Electric Dreams and I can easily highly recommend them to others!

Electric Dreams is a sweet slot car shop next to Scooter’s Jungle. If you’re not careful you can miss the store. Just watch for Herbie the Love Bug. Yep, the REAL Herbie from the Lindsay Lohan movie. It’s right in the front near a large sliding door. Apparently the car was(and is) remote controlled, which I found pretty cool. In today’s world of video games and TV, it’s nice to find some new activities to do with the kiddos. Slot cars are a great throwback to a simpler time. Electric dreams has loads of them along with every part you can imagine. They also have a website you can order from. If you’re looking for some good race car fun, definitely stop by and check out this store. Ask for Jason Nash– he’s a super friendly guy and will give you top notch service. Enjoy!

Many parents of young kids, like me, have no idea that slot cars are still around, but they actually seem to be going stronger than ever. Things have come a long way since the HO scale«AFX race tracks» that many of us grew up with. The name of the game now is the larger«1⁄32 scale,» and if you’re in the greater Los Angeles area, the only place to shop is Electric Dreams in El Segundo(near Rosecrans/Aviation). The two big brands to consider are Carrera and Scalextric. I opted for Scalextric, primarily because the track pieces are more narrow, which allows for more compact track layouts. Apparently, they are the largest Scalextric dealer in the world, and once you peruse their inventory, you’ll understand how that claim is entirely plausible. While this is technically a retail operation, it’s more like a busy e-commerce fulfillment center or a parts counter. Your best bet is to take the time on to figure out exactly what you want and either order online or come to the store with your part numbers ready to go. The manager, Freddie, is very personable and efficient. He was slammed with Christmas orders, but took lots of time to help me and even threw in a few extras… very cool!
