Memory Row is such a great place to just walk and relax, or maybe even jog a little(just a heads up that down hill will kick your butt! it kicked mine! unless you workout and stuff, than it won’t kick your butt.) Anywho, my boyfriend and I usually come here with our pup Joey when we need some peace and relaxing time. It’s literally across the LAX, and you get to: 1. Enjoy Nature 2. Enjoy The airport scenery and the way airplanes arrive and departure and 3. Spend some quality time with your loved ones. The only bad thing about memory row is how ppl don’t pick after their dogs! So please peeps, if your pooch poops pick up after them! Especially because there are signs all over asking for you to do so!

a nice park with plenty of potential… if only the city could keep up with its’ maintenance. Joan S has done a great job with those pics. unfortunately, they are no longer accurate. this spot needs a lot of work. lots of trash, broken bench and general landscaping issues. i took the kids here just to get them out of the house. we were going stir crazy. this is the closest spot with lots of grass. well, enough grass at least. lots of dirt spots and overgrown spots though. the trash i think can be attributed to all the lunch traffic that comes out to the various eateries surrounding the park. mostly manual labor dudes who prefer to eat in the outdoors, i. e on the grass and in their cars next to the park. not to mention all the trash that gets kicked up by all the traffic on Imperial Hwy. the broken bench that we ran into can probably be a quick fix if the city or who ever is in charge wanted. it’s a dedicated bench so i’m sure the people who dedicated it haven’t visited in a while to see how dilapidated it has become. it’s not all bad. there are lots of trees there. if you sit right in the middle, further away from Main St, you can probably forget the craziness of this spot’s location. very serenuntil that 747 passes over. :) FYI — watch your kids. the speed limit on Imperial is 50mph and there is no fencing. keep a vigilant eye on them! anyway, still a nice place. it’s great to see so many dedications here. it made me appreciate my kids even more seeing all the memorials from parents. i’ll come by again and pick up what i can. help out if you come by. all the kiddies will appreciate it.
