I received a gift card for a massage and facial. My massage was ok (would have been better if she listened and applied my requests) but the facial was worth walking out of mid– session. The esthetician moved at warp speed (soft, slow and gentle movements are what’s best when working with the delicate surfaces of the face), and treated the session as though she was in a race to finish. The whole experience was very very aggressive and rushed through. I would never receive services here again !

Jake is just an amazing hair stylist and colorist. I moved from New York and just couldn’t find anyone with the talent I needed to do my hair. Then I found Elements of Style and Jake. If your looking for the nicest people, a stylist that trains stylist, up to date looks this salon is for you. Thanks to Jake and his amazing work I continually get daily compliments on my hair. He’s very charming and carasmatic. He’s welcoming and can do anything your looking for from the wild to sophisticated and he’s cute on top of everything else. Great place to go if you want the best of the best! A must place to go for perfection.

Horrible scheduling experience done by the staff! I had an appointment to come in for Balyage highlights (which takes a longer amount of time.) The receptionist blocked me for 4 pm and to come in a little early at 3pm to do a consult on what I would like to do with my hair. I got to the appointment 15 minutes late because I was in a fender bender coming to the salon. When I got there, there was no concern for my well being or acknowledgement of being a new client to the salon (which at the time I was very excited about.)
The receptionist proceeded to tell me that there was not enough time to do my hair because there was someone booked at 4. What??? As a new client, or any client you only block off ONE hour for balyage, wash, and blow dry??? Even if she had done my hair it sounds like she would have been rushing the whole way through!
I was astounded by the rudeness of this staff.
I will not be returning!

My mother, bridesmaids, friends, and I scheduled appointments on Friday July 3rd to get our makeup and hair done for my wedding that day. Many of the employee’s were very friendly and helpful. The women and men working with us asked for our ideas for the makeup and hair and also shared their ideas, which were all very good. Shout out to Lauren and Jake for an amazing job with hair and makeup, I got several compliments at the wedding. You are also able to bring in food and drinks for your guests, or purchase things for them to bring in. I did wish there was more seating to accommodate people while they were waiting, but that is really my only compliant.

I got a manicure here on a Wednesday and it was pretty good, I was talked into coming back another day for a pedicure and that’s where I went wrong. Waaay over-​priced. $ 126 for 2 pedicures? That’s like dinner for 2 at Ruths Chris, not a pedicure! And it was nothing special, massaged legs for less than 5 minutes. Not worth it. The owner is one of the nastiest people I’ve ever dealt with, she checked us out and I wanted to ask her how many customers she drives away daily. It’s a shame because I think there may actually be talented people that work there, I won’t know as I have no plans to go back…

I was referred here by a co-​worker & I am glad I went here. Since I was referred by a current client, I got 20% off my services. So my hair color & cut came out to be a great price.
Melody was the one who did my hair from start to finish. She was very personable & friendly, I felt comfortable with her quickly. We discussed what my ultimate goal was with my hair color (I want to go blonde) & she explained to me how the process would go. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair cut & she nailed it. My hair color came out great, she successfully got rid of the brassy tones my hair had turned. It was evident that Melody really understands hair color.
I will be back, I think I found my new hair stylist!

I hated my hair cut. It was far too long and not at all like the photos I provided. She cut it too long because she said «most women don’t really want their hair as short as they ask.» …even though I’d told her I’d had the haircut before. I asked her to take it shorter, and afterwards it was still too long. She pulled at my earrings with her comb so many times they bled. I had tears coming out of my eyes, it was awful. Turned out she was a brand new stylist. I wish I’d been informed before I sat in her chair. I’ll never return.

This is my first visit here. The prices are competitive and reasonable in comparison to other salons. Upon arrival I was greeted and offered a tour of the facility and an explanation of services and information about the company. Megan did a great job on my foil highlights and cut. She explained each step, listened to my requests/​concerns, and did her very best to give me the desired result. I felt very comfortable here and intend on making this place my regular salon. Other services include: manicures (shellac, french, etc), pedicures, facials, massage, etc

I love Elements of Style. They always have time for me, and my children. Everyone who works there is extensively trained and I trust all the stylists with my hair. I have tried many other hair salons in Eldersburg/​Sykesville and always come back to Elements. Paris Cimino usually does my hair. They are also good with kids! I can walk in and be seen within a few minutes. Great customer service! Love Love Love them!
