Great band I loved FunkCity! They were jamin and played all the hits. Kristina is also the best waitress total sweetheart. Great pizza and no cover! I’m happy!

That was just about the worse dining experience I have had in a long time. Do not go to this place. Boxed food tastes better.

First visit to Danny’s this past weekend to see TNT Chicago, an AC/​DC cover band.
Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We never waited for drinks and our appetizers and pizza arrived quick and hot. Pizza was tasty, sauce had good flavor, very cheesy.
Overall a good experience. Nice place to hang out with friends and enjoy live music, with no cover charge I might add. Will definitely return!

Pizza is surprisingly delicious. Live band adds an entertaining ambiance. Beer a modestly priced. Lots of draft beers to choose from. Clean and energetic. Plenty of parking. Only complaint is the attitudes from the host. Yes that’s as in plural. And the waitress could have done a btter job with service. Left pizza on our table and immediately turned away from us. Didn’t even smile or say enjoy or the sort of thing that I would expect from a waitress.

Stopped by and had some fried chicken last week. It was the best I’ve ever had :) I’ll come back soon:)

If I had one word to describe Danny’s pizza, it’d be mediocre.
The pizza has too much cheese on it, the sauce is incredibly bland, and the pizza overall tastes bland, and I wouldn’t even waste your time on buying a sandwich there. Their bread is the driest bread I have ever tasted. The chicken wings have an odd taste and odor to them, and again, lack any real flavor.
There are much better pizza places in the area.

This is a very family-​friendly restaurant. Call if you’re looking for cheese this is the place I would say if the cheesiest pizza I have ever had which is a good thing. They have different types of entertainment depending on the day of the week and they also do a lot of things for the city of Elgin. whether it’s hosting the Elgin national Little League bingo night or a youth football car wash call this is hands-​down a great place to spend your money on food that is delicious.

Dannys has always been our favorite pizza in Elgin. We love the taste and they always put A lot of cheese and ingredients on the pizza we love the flavor. Our only thing about Danny’s is that the tables are so close to each other it kinda feels like a school cafeteria It gets real loud and it is hard to relax as a couple in there. Also, I’ve been there were bands are there and it seems kinda unusual were there is a bar and drinking and bands when little kids are running around. I wish that there would be a section or nights or hours just for 21 and older crowd. But, I do love the pizza and it’s my favorite in Elgin!

Still consistently good! A regular haunt for the family

Working next door photographing the Elgin city police dept. Had the «bright» idea of walking here for my hour lunch break. BIG FREAKING MISTAKE! Stood at the hostess stand five minutes while staff just walked by, avoiding my gaze. Finally walked to the bar to ask if there was a hostess or just sit. Had to wait on the «barmaid» to finish her conversation before I could ask her about seating. Finally seated myself. Another five minutes before a «waitress» whose initials were CB came by. I asked for unsweet tea, she said sure but we only have unsweet??? She brought my tea and my app of cheese cubes, that were fried so hard they were almost inedible. She took my order and disappeared for twenty minutes. Till she brought my dinner a chicken parm sandwich with no sauce and curly fries again fried so hard there were crunchy. I asked for a refill on my tea, she took my glass and left. Ten minutes later she comes back, and like oh wow I forgot your drink. In the meantime I’d had about three fries, had not even taken a bite of my sandwich, because with no sauce it was dry as a wad of toilet paper! I just told her to forget the tea, bring my tab and to go boxes. That took eight minutes, then she brings a box for my sandwich that the latch was broken, so it wouldn’t even stay shut. If you ad the time up she wasted my whole lunch break up farting around.
Danny’s was THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT AND RIPOFF OF MY WHOLE TRIP!!! That cost me $ 16.69 for shit that I carried back to the station and TOSSED IN THE TRASH!

Fun bar and pizza joint. Food is great. From BBQ ribs to pizza. All great. Owner came out and said hi. Cool old building. They have live bands, karaōke, and various family nights. Great for kids too.

This is the best pizza in Elgin. Super cheesy and great flavor.
Also, the waitstaff is attentive and very friendly.

Service is terrible. Waited for 15 minutes after being seated with my wife and no one approached us. We had to ask the host to let the waitresses know there was another table waiting. After ordering our food. The waitress came back wth our drinks and appetizers, but never checked on us again. I had to order my drink at the bar in which I was carded again. This place is ridiculous. Honestly would never come back. Why people like this place is beyond me. Management needs to take a close look at their staff.

The Appetizers were cold and the dough was doughy but fairly priced. Nice place for a family.

Food is good but service is terribly slow. Been there on a football Sunday and once when there wasn’t a game on but on the weekend with not a lot of customers. Not sure why they aren’t staffed accordingly or why they are so slow with service. Of they fix that I would increase my stars. They serve Hacker-​Pschorr Weisse Beer so that’s a major plus.

If you like a pizza that is drowning in cheese with flavorless sauce and bland crust, then this is the place for you.
If, however, you prefer good pizza, you should probably go elsewhere. There is a reason why this place is usually swarming with children — kids have no taste.

Came in for ½ price pizza Monday. Service was slow, but it was the servers second day (who puts a poor girl on her second day for a crazy night like that?!) but I digress…
We waited 10 minutes before we saw our newly minted server for the first time who then got our drinks and took our pizza order (we were sure to get it in fast since she had been MIA).
Forever later our pizza showed up and even though we had asked for fresh spinach it showed up with what was clearly Popeye style canned. However, lots of cheese and a crispy crust.
Since its ½ price the $$ can’t be beat… Two of us ate and drank for under $ 15, but we had to wait forever and had «meh» service.
Give and take I guess.

I am only rating one star because I have to. Danny’s pizza is a JOKE!
I had gone to see a friends band play and decided what a great place to relax and enjoy some «quality pizza» boy was I wrong. The staff is rude and nothing short of nomadic. After my friend had ordered drinks for us the server said she could not serve him due to his ID being expired, ok, no problem. However, the waitress still brings us our drinks (without ID-​ing anyone else) and after we had began to drink them she takes them away from us. I showed my ID and asked for it back and she said she had to dump it out… I thought that was absurd but again, ok. After we had ordered our pizza the security guard approaches and begins an argument with my friend about the issue regarding our drinks… without wanting to cause further confrontation we attempted to diffuse the situation by letting them know it was water under the bridge. He was not having that. I had cancelled our order for the pizza because I was too upset at what had happened I no longer wanted to eat. The security guard had again approached us and said «You are going to eat and pay for your pizza and then get the F*** out» while slamming the bill on the table. That was it for me. Never in my life have I experienced such disrespect. The owner desperately needs to reevaluate his staff. Unprofessional and disgusting. I would rather eat dirt than give my money to those clowns.
Might I mention that another friend who also had an expired ID was served without any problems… way to be thorough!!!

Best pizza in the state! No doubt about it! I have been eating Danny’s pizza since I was a kid and it is still delicious!
Service is friendly. We have been lucky enough to get the same waitress every time we go lately and she is fantastic! Great for large groups.
Can get very loud when a band is playing. But perfect for a pizza and beer and listen to the band.

The quality of Danny’s is fantastic, if you really like cheese. They put about the same amount of cheese on a thin crust as many places put on a deep dish. Seriously, the first time I picked up a pizza here I thought they had given me deep dish by mistake.
They don’t offer a lot of adventurous pre-​made combinations by they so have a very wide variety of toppings for you to make there own.
If you’re eating there, they often have live music and regularly have a modest but respectable selection of craft beers.
Honestly, when I read the negative reviews about the service I simply cannot believe them. I’ve been going here for a little over 3 years and have never had a bad experience.
