This shop was the worst business that I’ve ever dealt with. They had the car for almost 3 months under an insurance claim. After about a month they started telling us every week that the car would be done, it never was. We even made a few trips down to the shop when once again they promised that they were working on it and it would be done soon. These were lies. When the work finally was finished it was some of the most substandard work I had ever seen. We took the car anyway because it may have taken another 3 months to get it done right. If you can avoid this shop I strongly recommend you do so

This shop is owned by a coward that is afraid to call an unhappy customer, and is also full of liars. They seem to short cut the work as much as possible and hope the owner doesn’t notice, so that they can collect from the insurance company on work they didn’t do & parts they didn’t install. I took my car to Jam for an insurance estimate. After looking over my car I asked how long it would take to fix, and was told 4 – 5 days. After fighting with with Direct Auto Insurance for a few months to cover the damage, they finally authorized the repair. I called Jam and spoke to Anna to make arrangements to bring my car in ten days later(on a Monday) to be repaired. Anna said that«that would be perfect», and that it would give them time to order the parts and have them ready when I brought my car in. I told Anna that this was my only car and that I was using vacation time from work in order to get my car repaired. Anna said that if I had my car at the shop by 8:00 a.m. on Monday, I would have it back on Friday. I arrived at Jam before 8:00 Monday morning and handed the keys to Jose the owner. Jose took the keys and said«I will have it ready for you on Friday, if I can finish it any sooner I will give you a call». I replied«thank you, I would appreciate it». I did not hear from Jam by late Friday morning, so I called to find out what time my car would be ready. I was told that it would not be ready until«maybe Tuesday». After arguing with Anna a couple of times on the phone, and being lied to, I asked for the owner(Jose) to call me back, but never received a call. I called a few more times on Monday asking for Jose to call me, but never received a call. When I went to Jam on Tuesday afternoon to pick up my car, the hood would not open. Jose said that the cable was stretched, and if I wanted a new cable installed he could not have my car ready until the next day, but if I would take a used cable, he would go and pick one up right away, and I had to wait another 2 ½ hours for the used cable to be installed. They were also supposed to replace the driver side front fender, but didn’t. When I asked Jose why the fender wasn’t replaced, and showed him that it was listed on the paperwork from the insurance company, all he said was«sorry, we must have forgotten». If they had ordered the fender ahead of time, I don’t see how they could have forgotten. This is actually just a portion of my bad experience with Jam Automotive.
