Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria

In the burbs, you have to like lou’s. It’s not down town Chicago style pizza, but it’s pretty good. Delivery is usually fast and arrives hot. Ordering is easy online. All in all, no complaints here

It is 7:25 p.m. And I just got the pizza that I ordered for delivery at 5:31…it’s cold obviously… need I say more?

Terrible. It doesn’t compare to the one in Naperville. The employees are rude! The pizza is good that’s the only reason I gave them 2 stars. If it was just for the service I would give it a minus 5 stars! It’s only a carry out or delivery place too. They should be nice not rude to customers.

Fantastic and speedy service! Haven’t had Lou’s in years and the pizza was just as yummy as I remembered it being., will definitely be ordering from this location again.

Love this place! The pizza is very delicious. My husband and I always get the Chicago classic. The buttery crust and the sausage and cheese are always fresh. If you love deep dish, make a stop at Lou Malnati’s. The staff are very friendly.

I absolutely love Lou Malnati’s. 2 stars is for customer sat ay this location. I call to order a pie… and it’s a busy night I get it… but they tell me they aren’t taking any more orders? Wth is that? I call back and talk to the manager… he says oh we’re an hour and a half out. That’s fine… I understand being busy, but for them to REFUSE MY ORDER? I’ll get my pie from another place.

I like to consume a deep dish pizza once a month and Lou’s is my most common selection. The deep dish spinach and cheese with the buttercrust is my favorite one and believe it or not it actually tastes as good or better reheated the next day. The Elgin branch is take out only.

I’ve been a patron of Lou Malnati’s for years, but the Oak Park one is excellent. There are three or four waiters taking care of your every need. Our waitress, Valencia, was wonderful. The pizza, salad and choc. chip pizza were excellent. If you want an excellent dining experience, go to Lou Malnati’s pizza in Oak Park on Lake St.

My husband and I moved out here nine months ago, we were very happy to see a lou’s five minutes from our house. Sorry to say this is not the same as the sit down restaurant. It almost tasted like a frozen pizza with the topping we asked for added on. Also, because we live so close, we didn’t expect our pizza to be lukewarm at best. Not impressed at all. Our search for a new favorite pizza place continues…

I don’t know why so many people rave about this place? Their pizza is the equivalent of cheese on a cracker. Speed and service was good, so they got a star for that. Nevertheless, I’d recommend going to Giordano! That place has the BEST deep dish!

Always love my Lou’s! Buttercrust deep dish is the best! Timing was a little off with my order, had to wait a few extra minutes but its always worth it. So is the loyalty program, someone complained about the initial $ 20 up front, but you get your money back immediately, love people that can’t read.

I have always heard that their deep dish pizza is the best you can get so my husband and I ordered. I will say it was pretty delicious, but I prefer Giordano’s deep dish because their crust is much better. Like Giordano’s they are more expensive than most pizza places.

Short and sweet… Terrible customer service. Noah I’m specific. Won’t deliver for a funeral that is one block outside delivery zone.

I really want to amend my previous message. The management at this Lou’s and the regional level read my review and got in touch with me. I was extremely impressed with their professionalism and willingness to listen to my frustrations. I will definitely be going back, I fully believe that my complaints were those of a new store, working out the kinks. I know the employees at this store are supported and will get the order times and cooking times straightened out.

Love the pizza but not the service! Expect to wait forever. ordered simple thin crust pepperoni pizza. Was told it take 30 minutes — got there was told to take another 15 minutes. took 20 minutes.
I’ve been to this location several times but not sure I’ll be back.

First and foremost– the most important thing you need to know about this location is that it is carry out and delivery only. Our experience with this particular location was through delivery. The pizza delivered was absolutely delicious, still piping hot and toppings were all great. The delivery driver arrived 15 minutes before they said they would arrive on the phone– so that was a pleasant surprise. Lou Malnati’s Pizza is delicoius and has the best crust for their pizza. We will certainly order pizza from this location again now that we know it exists (advertising might help as we didn’t even know Lou’s had come from to Elgin). Love Lou’s, and we’ll be ordering delivery from here again soon!

My family & I order take out from here often. Our order is always right & delicious. Tonight my father was over & requested that I put anchovies on the side for him. I picked up my pizza, got in my car & thought to check the box for the side of anchovies, but figured they have never gotten an order wrong so I didn’t check. As I’m pulling into the driveway I get a call from them saying that they forgot to give me the anchovies. The gentleman sweetly said «what is your address, I’m gonna run this out to you right now!».
Yes it was their mistake, but their customer service was amazing & they were so polite. Everyone makes mistakes, we’re only human. But how you handle it is what make you a successful business. I appreciate how fast they were to get here & how kind they were about the whole situation. My husband & I have had a lot of problems with restaurants forgetting to put something in the order & never have they handled it this correctly & effortlessly. Thank you guys! =)

I’m a fan of Lou Malnati’s sit-​down restaurant over in Schaumburg so I was happy to see a carry-​out branch open up nearby. I ordered the large 16″ thin crust sausage pizza ($ 14.80, $ 16 after tax). It was done in the quoted 30 mins. The pizza was good when hot, but it cooled fast. The crust was very thin in some parts, the thinnest I’ve ever seen LM’s pizza before, and I’ve eaten it often. Cheese and sausage were okay, but not as good as I’d like or remember it being. I’d rather order from White Cottage Pizzeria for a nearby option (better sausage and cheese quality, and they also offer coupons) or just get a frozen thin crust Home Run Inn Pizza for $ 6.

Yeah!!! Thank you for bringing a Lou’s to Elgin. I wish this was a sit down Lou’s over a carry out Lou’s. It would be a great place to entertain guests. We got a pizza and salad. I love the house salad. I would wash some dishes to get a House salad. It was yummy!!! With Portillo’s across the street, what more of Chicago do you want? We now have an excellent pizza place in Elgin!
