Burrito meat too soupy, The new fish tacos taste like Gordon’s frozen fish sticks and the red sauce enchiladas made me sick, on top of the fact you can’t get ground beef. I’ll go elsewhere

Horrible food. I asked for a very spy you filet of fish. Even was spicy it still smelled a dirty fish and the taste was worse. I asked for melted cheese. I couldn’t sleep and had stomach aid next day. It was too oily. Not the right direction for cooking. Hello, please make sure your preparing food for people!

The food has always been very good whether we eat in or do take out. Great prices. The staff is always friendly and they have a nice a nice atmosphere. The only thing I would suggest is that they have more lights on outside. It looks dark when you drive by at night. We will do definitely be back.

I only come here when my dad wants to go out to eat. And every time I come here, the food is ridiculous. No flavor at all. Don’t bother ordering the skirt steak, because it will most likely be over cooked and taste like a tire. The beans and rice that come as included sides are the blandest I’ve ever eaten. You, can tell they are pre made and just reheated. The milanesa is non existent, it’s as thin as paper. I wouldn’t be that disgruntled if the food wasn’t over priced. The wait staff is slow, but they are nice. I am Mexican, and am used to wonderful favors in food, but this place doesn’t do it justice. They are better places if you are willing to drive a little.

I really enjoy both their steak and pork. Chips and salsa which are always served on the house are tasty as well. Their salsa served with the entrée’s is boldly not that spicy as it has a bit of a tangy flavor which is a nice change of pace from most other Mexican restaurants around. They are blessed with an extra warm and friendly staff and the mariachi band that plays there weekly makes for quite the cool, Elgin experience.

Not pleased with this place… To start of We ordered half a dozen of the langostinos as our appetizer only to find out they were 3 divided into two and NOTHALF A DONZEN… Food was very bland didn’t have much taste, the camarones a la diabla were not good the sauce wasn’t spicy as expected, over all I wouldn’t recommend this place nor come back again…

Food has been great. I usually get take-out since I live close by. They have a mariachi band if you like the music.

It wouldn’t seem that hard finding good, cheap, quick mexican food in elgin… but honestly I had a hard time until I found here. The service is kind of slow but the food is absolutely delicious. You can tell it is fresh ans this place is really clean. Im so happy I found a good spot finally that I don’t feel gross after eating there. Spicy lovers, I recommend the jalapeño rellano taco and the shrimp Diablo appetizer.

Good, but somewhat forgettable. The place is clean and seems well-run. It is a pleasant place to sit down and have lunch. Nothing leaps out as a flaw, but there are so many choices for Mexican food in Elgin that unless this place is the most convenient for you, you’d do better to visit, e.g., La Flor. From what I remember, there do seem to be more seafood options than is typical for these places, so if that’s important to you, maybe this is your place.
