There were more bugs than employees at this location. My wife had a cricket come out of the drink dispenser into her cup. My sons had a better time trying to catch the bugs than they did on the playground here. If you can put up with fast food and insects, this might be your place, as for us, we’ll be driving to Manor for McDonald’s from now on!

Horrible service all of the employees need to be terminated. Was not impressed one bit with the food. Save your safe the money and drive down to manor mcdonalds.

Not one table is wiped down and the alarms have been beeping behind their counter since I walked in the door, with no sign of them stopping. They’re there to remind me to never, ever eat at McDonald’s.

Absolute filth. Unless a person wishes to become sick or is immune to all bacterias it’s not the place to get any kind of food or drink. This McDonald’s is tiny, very loud, and maybe the dirtiest place I’ve stopped over the past 50 years to grab a snack. If Elgin had a decent health department the joint would probably be shut down.

Sad, sad and sadder service. I went in to get a coffee for mom. It took 23 minutes of waiting around; a blank and unfeeling greeting from a young man that seemed more interested in just standing around. I should have known what to expect when I saw the drive thru backed up onto the street and seeing a few unsmiling facial expressions. Lately, within these few years this location went from being well organized/managed with employees that tried their best to offer good service and cleanliness. Now, it is more like you should come in blind and not care that it’s appears clean, yet not the case. Employees standing around more occupied with flirting, texting;even one selfie inclined. I know we have more choices now, but McDonald’s is an icon that even has been where two of my siblings have fun work memories. Such a shame of how quickly this business makes us seriously motivate the community to see its doors closed indefinitely!!!

Wish I could give no stars again. How hard is it to screw up this order. #2 large coke. Seriously? Did anyone that works here graduate high school? Does anyone that work here actually know that sausage and ham are different? Combined IQ of staff must be in single digits. Ridiculous. Please close this atrocity. Customer service at its worst on every visit. Drive thru is the worst I have ever seen(15 – 20 min waits w one person in front of you) so I have to go inside but not anymore. Never going back.

This place used to be not too bad. Used to be. Now it seriously sucks all around. Last time I went I applied for a job. Well at the time if you weren’t black or white you had a job no questions asked. I went for 3 interviews that NEVERHAPPENED. Each time the mexican managers pretended like they didn’t know english or me. Even after talking to me a few hours prior. I was hardly 5 foot in when two of them told me that I needed to leave or else. I explained that I was there for the interview… Yeah amazing how quick neither could speak even their bad broken english but loved throwing the police word around while telling me to leave. I did with a couple unpleasant words. Then one called me to tell me I had missed my third and final interview. Ha! I disliked this place before but it was a job. Now I hate the place. The food isn’t the only thing rotten…

In the last 8 years they’ve been through a lot of changes, but have improved over time. The inside is a lot cleaner and my orders are actually right 95% of the time. The food is usually hot but it’s the same health trap associated to the brand. If you’re in Elgin n looking for a quick hot unhealthy bite, be sure to check them out.

I rarely go to any fast food places, but I took one of my kinder students for an ice cream and I was appalled by how dirty this place is. It was also crazy how difficult it was for the employees to understand our short order of, «one ice cream cone, please.» I had to repeat it in Spanish after 3 attempts in English. Their food is not fit for human consumption, IMO, but that’s not just this location.

They have just gone way down hill. Their service use to be sooo good. Now it really sucks. This location is the only one closest to my job. The last 4 times I have gone there, MYORDERHASBEENCOMPLETELYWRONG. I know they are loosing a lot of money by getting customer’s orders wrong and then having to good them another order FREE. SMH. It would probably help if more than 2 or 3 people that worked there spoke and understood English.

This McDonalds stands out because they have some of the nicest people working there. I have been going to the drive up over the last couple of years and it is so refreshing for someone to take a minute to smile and say thank you. Thanks to you!

This is probably one of the best Mc Donald’s in the country, and I think it’s the only one to claim to have an indoor playground which looks like a happy meal. My kids love it for the playground, and I love it because it’s a close place to take them for an affordable treat.

As a person who rarely(and I do mean rarely) visits fast food restaurants for obvious reasons, I have to give this McDonald’s 5 stars. When I do go to the Golden Arches, I only get the ice cream cone or something healthy. Yes, I have convinced myself that Mickey D’s ice cream is healthy(only 120 calories). No cognitive dissonance here. I can live with 120 calories. Anyways, I will occasionally go to McDonald’s for a vanilla cone when I’m traveling and need a relatively low calorie quick snack that I can eat while driving. Last night was one such nights. I was driving through Elgin at 3 am, and my tummy said, «Woman, FEEDME!» So I pulled into the McDonald’s and ordered a vanilla cone. Now I’ve had vanilla cones from McDonald’s all over the country, so I am self-proclaimed McDonald’s ice cream cone expert. Some cones aren’t symmetrical. Some are empty in the cone. Some are tiny. So I drive up the second window, and fork over my 97 cents. The cashier then hands over this gigantic, and perfectly symmetrical cone. This was a thing of beauty. The ice cream on top was about the size of a softball. I smiled. My tummy was happy. This McDonald’s had shown me vanilla ice cream bliss. 5 stars to the biggest, baddest vanilla ice cream cone ever.
