Spanky’s Gyros III

Spanky’s Gyros are the best I’ve had. They grill the gyros after they slice of the cone. They give more portions than most places I’ve been to. The prices are great! A small place but definitely a place with BIG taste. The Italian beef and cheeseburger (angus meat) are also great… I come to Spanky’s often and service is always good and fast!!!

I always get the gyro combo with fries and a drink. The service is fast, portions are great, and the food is delicious! It’s definitely not fancy or anything, but I always take it to-​go anywho. Best gyros in Elgin, hands down.

i had came here today to check out their Gyros. When i Walked in the place seemed fine. I got my gyro and had seen there wasn’t much meat on it. I was well what ever. I began eating and then started to see all these freaking earwigs. Running all around me. Ate then left. The bugs didn’t bother me but the gyro wasn’t really good at all.

Food is great! hot and delicious! Gyros and fries are yum! They take orders over the phone. A plus for those who have to get back to work. The only bad thing is the location. During the day, it is fine. But, in the evenings, I recommend going with others and be alert.

Good size gyro’s with nice tasty meat! Love how the cheese fries are actually topped with ALOT of cheese not like other places where they are stingy with their cheese!

I’ve lived right down the road from Spankys for about 3 years and never tried their food. After my boyfriend and I got back from apartment hunting we decided to give it a try. Oh man are we glad we did! I had the gyro special and he had the dbl cheeseburger special. First of all the prices are awesome! So inexpensive! Now the food… before coming here I have been loyal to Jesters for their gyros. After eating here my loyalty has changed! This was the best gyro I’ve ever had. My boyfriend loved his burger so much he said we will be frequenting Spankys. The fries are great too. Can’t wait to try some of the other food.

Best gyros in all the area you would think you are in chicago. I have ben dying to try a cheeseburger with gyro meat and italian beef meat on it spunds too good to be true

Excellent fast food. Probably the best Gyros in a 10 mile radius. Always daily specials and fast service. Not the newest or fanciest hot dog joynt but friendly service and good food make up for looks.

These are hands down my favorite gyros. The key is that they recook the meat on the grill, resulting in a piping hot, slightly crisp gyros. I frequented Spanky’s when I lived in the suburbs during college (this was my study meal:)), but now I sadly only make it there ever so often. Give Spanky’s a try!

I more gyro stand down
as I hunt for that really good gyro place out here in the burbs and close to work, I tried Spanky’s the other day
now this is a hole in the wall joint, no thrills kinda grungy looking the walls could use a coat of paint, but you know what at these prices I don’t care about looks I care about the food and it was fast, friendly and hot
I got a Gyro with no Tomatoes because that’s how I roll and a soda, the pita was smokin hot off the grill and the pile of meat was hot and tasty with just a hint of onions and some Tzatziki sauce right down the middle of it oh man my mouth is watering just righting this review may have to make a run to Elgin for lunch even though its not a work day
so don’t let the looks of the place throw you off go and get some good hot freshly made food and save a buck or two

It’s good, minus the ghetto location. lol I love their italian beef, and my fiancé loves the catfish dinner, boneless, omg.; amazing deal… ++ They have the best hot gardinera ever ever its my favorite!!! Good prices too.
