The Pineapple café is a nice place to go for sandwiches or wraps for lunch. They also have an array of desserts available. The café consists of two connected rooms with ample seating. The décor is simple but clean and aesthetically pleasing. The menu is pretty creative with a good number of tasty sounding sandwiches. I had a Russian wrap with waffle fries, a side of fruit, and a side of noodle salad. The wrap was very good with a good portion of dressing, not too much, and nicely grilled. The noodle salad was a bit disappointing, but I am very particular about my salads. I definitely look forward to returning and trying some of the other sandwiched and some of the cakes or other desserts available.

Plenty of space. Nice quiet atmosphere. Good presentation was nice and so were the employees. My waitress Winter did a great job checking on my drink. Overall experience was a great one. Prices were easily affordable.

Great place for lunch, a hidden gem in EC. Very busy place, lots of locals and folks from USCG base down the road. Service was good no issues and on point for a very busy lunch crowd. Food was fresh, portion sizes good and pricing not bad for what you get. I had the burger of the month which was a mushroom hamburger, good size and full of tasty. Had a hard time finishing it. My wife had the strawberry salad and she enjoyed it. We started off with some hummus and pita points, just outstanding. Looking forward to our next visit.

I had an event in the area so I decided to use the Pineapple Café as my caterer. They delivered 50+ box lunches at the correct time and the order was exactly what we ordered. The sandwiches were delicious, the bread, meat and vegetables were fresh tasting. The cut up fresh fruit was a nice variety and also super fresh. The cookie was huge, soft, and yummy. Great value, super fresh foods and nice lunch box presentation. Good job Pineapple Café.

Simple, cheerful restaurant and bakery. Server very nice and effecient. Interesting menu of mostly sandwiches and salads. Husband had a mandarin chicken chicken salad and I had a mushroom quesadilla and we both liked our choices. Cookie from the bakery for dessert. Just passing through town and so glad Unilocal sent us their way for lunch.

The pineapple café is a small local spot in a small strip of stores. You’d probably miss it if you didn’t know it was there. It really is a great alternative to the greasy fast food options that seem to consume E City. Everything on the menu looked great, lots of fresh wraps, salads, and sandwiches. My fiancé and I both had the buffalo bacon sandwich-Shredded buffalo chicken served on a roll with lettuce and tomato and topped with fresh bacon bits. It was served with your choice of waffle fries or regular fries. I also added a side salad. With me being pregnant, I thought I’d need it but I really didn’t. Neither my fiancé nor myself finished our meal. Best part was that our bill was only $ 20 including our drink. He had soda, I had water. Definitely a great place to stop for lunch when you are in the area.

Pineapple Café was great when it first opened, but has really gone down hill. While the prices are good the food is inconsistent. The wraps tend to be dry, and the salads are rather bland. There are better choices in the area.

This is a solid lunch spot. I enjoyed their wrap of the week — BBQ chicken with bacon, cheddar, lettuce, and a little ranch this special included homemade chips with(more) ranch. The wrap was a decent size and I ended up boxing up half. Service was quick, attentive, & friendly. Visiting EC for 3 weeks of work and I know I’ll be back — it’s a shame they aren’t open for dinner. As others have said this is a great place to get away from fast food and they have wi-fi. Everything else on the menu sounded delicious & fresh. I’m interested to try the desserts!

We visited The Pineapple Café on a random trip to Elizabeth City & the day would have been a complete bust if it hadn’t been for this good, filling lunch. Downtown was DEAD. I had the chicken salad on ciabatta special. Overall, it was really good. The chicken could have used a little salt by itself but it was fine with the bread & mustard I added. The portion was filling. My husband had the bacon pineapple burger. The patty was HUGE! Hanging way off the bun HUGE. He loved it. There were also several good vegetarian selections that I’ll definitely try if we come back to the area. Desserts looked awesome but we were stuffed.

This place is a great break away from all the fast food greasy stuff all over e-city. It’s a nice relaxing, healthy alternative for lunch. I was in e-city for 5 months and would always stop in for lunch. Do your thing pineapple express.(I always call it that for some reason) Bomb!

I think I’m still full from yesterday’s lunch. The Pineapple Café is a nice little place. Be sure to order the homemade chips with ranch dressing! I’ve tried a few of the wraps and was pleased with all of them. If you’re looking for a deal, check out the daily special. I snagged a bite of my coworker’s snickerdoodle cupcake and that thing was delicious! Perfectly moist, not too sweet… yum! It’s only a short drive from the Coast Guard Air Station, if you’re in E City for Coastie business.

Stopped by here while visiting ECSU. Great experience. I had the pineapple BBQ wrap, which featured crispy chicken strips in a great tasting combination of sweet pineapple and tangy BBQ sauce. My lunch partner opted for the vegetarian wrap, loaded with fresh veggies. On the way out we grabbed a couple of their oatmeal raisin-chocolate chip-macadamia nuts cookies. Yummy!
