I’ve been to ALOT of sub spots being its a big thing in jersey, but this place is by far my favorite. I’ve been coming for years now and it has stayed consistent. The staff here isn’t always the friendliest, but because the quality of their sandwiches are so good, it really doesn’t matter lol. I’ve eaten several subs from here which were all delicious, but Their tuna is made to perfection. whatever you order, you won’t be disappointed !

Very good subs here, my favorite is the New York sub, grilled chicken roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella with balsamic glaze. I’m hungry just thinking about it.

Best place to get a sub !!! Omg I went on a Saturday, Craving a sub(and nasty subway was NOT an option, ever lol) on a beautiful sunny day lol… so I went with my boyfriend and both ordered a roast beef sub with provolone cheese, with lettuce tomato extra mayo oil vinegar salt and pepper and we also got a small potatoe and a small elbow pasta salad and it was one of the best subs I’ve ever had !!’ The pasta salad was soooooooo flavorful(and much better than the potatoe salad…(potato salad was lacking more mayo) lol) … It was SOOOOOOOGOOD that I made boyfriend go back the next day and made him get it again for us ! Lol!!!

One of the best sub shops in NJ. Huge selection of subs, over 50. Cold cuts are great and their hot food is awesome. I have been going to this place since I was a teenager. I am now in my 30s, the quality hasn’t changed a bit. I will always get my subs here.

It’s known as Dara’s now — but if you’re a longtime local, you know it as Kampy’s. Small spot for good subs. Place gets busy at lunchtime but if you call in your order it’ll be ready for you. Reasonably priced and staff is friendly and quick with getting food together. I wish they had a menu available online. They have some good sandwiches but I always forget them if I’m calling in my order.

I’ve been going to Dara’s since they opened(as Kampy’s) back in the 70s.(I still call it Kampy’s.) I never fail to get here at least once every time I’m home. My favorite is the #14: boiled ham, salami, provolone. This place came along right when we needed it … just after George’s(next to Pappy & Nooks on Westfield ave.) had closed down if I remember correctly. (last visited May 21, 2015)

Everything is good here. I suggest calling in your order because they are very busy. Also if you want soup call early it goes fast. Daras is a staple in my diet.

This place has really fallen off in quality in the past few years. It was better years ago when it was Kampys Korner, I miss their specials! A few times I went to Dara’s, the place had a funky order inside and out. I’ve noticed in the past, the guys here give preferential treatment to certain customers. If you’ve been a regular here in the past, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Oh, and the staff here are just rude jerks, to be completely blunt. Last time I ate here, I got sick afterwards, so that’s the last straw for me. We’re through Dara, time for us to see other people!

Food is terrible, place is dirty and the owner is rude. I would not come here again.

One of my top 3 picks for best subs. Get in, get out, be eating. See the other reviews. It is an «old school» sandwich shop with a lot of «regulars». They are consistent with delicious well crafted subs. Every sub I’ve had from here has been on fresh bread and packed with thinly sliced meat and veggies. They can get very busy, so you may want to decide what you want and how you want it; there will be minimal conversation. Called in orders have been on point. Never had a bad sandwich from here. Daras rocks!

Daras has the BEST subs around! My favorite is the Italian. I am also OBSESSED with the Joey Meatball. The meatballs are so good I could of sworn a little old grandma straight from Italy was back there rolling them out.

I just had a great lunch here. It’s a real old school place complete with 70s wood panelling but the sandwiches are awesome. I usually am wary of ordering tuna salad out, but the tuna was great. The hero roll was fresh and crusty. Service was very friendly and efficient. I can’t wait to go back and try a different sandwich.

This is a pretty solid sandwich shop, consistently good. There are plenty of choices and the bread is good. Keep an eye out for the specials. Big plus is that they aren’t Yankees fans.

Had lunch here with my son. I got a turkey sub, he got a tuna salad sub. Subs are about $ 6 each… worth it, because they do put on more meat than the usual sub places. I like the casual atmosphere and the very Jersey feel of the place. You can eat outside as well. When we were there, 70% of the diners were law enforcement officers of some type. they usually are a good sign of food that is good, and this was the case once again. If you are looking for a good sub, this is a good place. I love how the gal behind the counter yelled out the names of the orders when they were ready… even the cops ran up to the counter to get their food!

We are very pleased with this business and use this it for all our local catering needs. We were referred by our neighbor when we first moved in and six years later, we are still very happy with them. For just a little over $ 200.00 we served 20 people with jumbo sandwiches, Greek salad, potato and macaroni salads, olive/pickle platter, cheese platter, big house salad, soda and all condiments and paper products included. I mean, I did not have to do additional shopping for this party. We had tons of food left over and will eat for a week. The food itself is very fresh and varied. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about everything… and believe me, my Italian family is very opinionated when it comes to food. Aside from catering, you can stop by for lunch, casual setting. Please note, however, my review is for the Catering service and not the eat-in area. I would give them at least a weeks notice with your order.
