Great Clips

Rayleen is the best! My son and I just got our hair cut at Great Clips in Elk Grove next to Wal-​Mart and I couldn’t be happier. She was amazing with my son. I’ve never seen him so well behaved and cooperative. She must have a magic touch.
Personally, I wasn’t sure how I wanted my haircut. I new I wanted something different, but wasn’t sure how to explain it. Rayleen described what she thought would work for me and I said «Go for it!» No doubt about it, it was the best haircut I’ve ever had.
We checked in online and did not have to wait at all when we arrived at 5:30 on a Monday.
Great clips sent coupons through the mail and the total cost for two awesome haircuts was only $ 17.
Make sure you ask for Rayleen. She is fast, friendly, and professional.

Horrible. Usually go to the location in roselle and wise but the wait was too long. Brought three boys here and two had a horrible experience. One women could not speak English and another with too much mascara was very rude to both us and other stylist. They also didn’t have the notes from the other location nor did they have us in the computer system (have been customers for 5+ years)

I walked into this location by chance to use a coupon that Great Clips had mailed me. I’ve had ups and downs at other Great Clips locations, but as this one had never been tried before, what did I have to loose but hair? (One hopes, right!?)
Wanda is a sweet Polish lady that has been cutting hair for several decades. She happened to be available right as I walked in the door. I was just on my way to a business meeting that I needed to be at in 20 minutes in Schaumburg. I asked her if she could cut my hair in 15 minutes and still do a good job.
Wanda gestured me to a chair and in 15 minutes I had a very accurate cut. When I asked if she could trim off more hair, she advised against it due to my cowlicks making the hair look uneven. A lot of untrained eyes will just keep cutting, but she caught on to my trick request. This lady knows her stuff!
All the while during the clipping process she kept up an interesting conversation and we practiced speaking a few words in different languages which is a hobby of both Wanda’s and mine. Once complete, I gave her a large tip and rushed out to my meeting looking very sharp indeed.
This Great Clips is a little off the beaten path compared to all the shops on Golf Road, but is worth it if you are in the area. Dzikuj Wanda!
