One word… GREASY! I love trying new food truck and Chando’s food truck has decent ratings so I decided to try it. I ordered the quesadilla and it was not worth it… The price was high and the food quality was. EH! One of the most greasy quesadilla I’ve ever had. I felt the tortilla was soaked in oil or something, but I couldn’t even finish half. I had to throw the rest away because it was that bad. Flavor wise… It was okay. I think I would rather buy quesadilla from Taco Bell or Del Taco and get more than just buying 1 quesadilla from this truck and not being able to finish it.

So so so Good! My husband and I are always having to go whenever there are food truck events in the Elk Grove area… specifically for Chando’s Tacos! Our faves are the pollo, asada and fish tacos, they’re flavored so well!

I must say maybe a year or two ago, I tried Chando’s for the first time at Cesar Chavez park and was not at all impressed. I thought the tacos were on the small side and the meats I had were carne asada and carnitas. They just didn’t have much flavor to them, maybe I had a bad batch, but I recall only meat and maybe onions on them, no sauce like they have now. Earlier this week, I tried them again for the 2nd time. They came during lunch at my work and I knew I had to give them a second chance. I saw a few photos on here where people had their tacos lettuce wrapped. I had 2 tacos lettuce wrapped with chicken and carne asada. They were delicious, super flavorful. I also ordered a carne asada quesadilla. The portion was huge. They cut it in 4 triangles, so I had one for lunch and took the rest home. It was still good later. My coworker got just a plain cheese and chicken quesadilla, she loved it too. Good job Chando’s!

Awesome! I finally went to Food truck Friday near Rancho. I thought the tacos were a good size! I also got the Carne Asada nachos. The line was super long, but once I got my food it was less than a 5 min wait! I thought that was great because we all know how long food trucks can take. The meat was so flavorful and was really good(not the cheap carne Asada I see in some street tacos). The nachos were very filling and soooooo good!

Stopped in to Track 7 and this was the food truck for the afternoon. I ordered the vegetarian taco’s. Delish! 3 corn tortillas with grilled onions and mushrooms, beans, guacamole and cilantro. Very tasty. I would definitely stop by this food truck again. Yum!

July 25, 2015 Saturday — 1:00PM for lunch 2 Adults Atmosphere — N/A star Food — 5 stars Service — 5 stars Background — Went to Track 7 Brewery in Natomas and they were the food truck for lunch this day. Atmosphere — It is a food truck so not much to rate here. Food Drinks — Since they were at Track 7 I was having some awesome beer. Lunch — 3 chicken tacos for $ 6. These are the classic style having two soft shells holding all of that yumminess. The guacamole was my favorite part of the tacos. I also love how each taco had its own paper to separate them from the others. It helped picking them up from the paper boat they are served in. Service — Quick and easy. Placed the order, they take your name and call you when it is ready. Future — Sure.

Tiny tacos. Great tasting. But, tiny. On the bridge of offensive. For how much they charge, they can up the anty and serve a little bit more. It’s tacos. Not filet mignon. Dang. Every Tuesday, SactoMoFo(6 – 7 food trucks) line up in the Anatolia residential subdivision in Rancho Cordova. I went last Tuesday. Out of all the food trucks there, I chose Chando’s Tacos, even though I’m partial to the Pollo Asado burrito at Adalbertos. I ordered the meal: 3 tacos, tasteless chips, and a Diet Coke for $ 7. The tacos were no more than hors d’oeuvres so don’t expect to feel satisfied after eating it. I’m a cook and a pretty good one at that. Been at it for years. The meat in Chando’s Tacos took a long time to cook. You can tell it’s been slow cooked by how soft the meat is. I’ll pay for the time. Would I go back to Chando’s truck? Probably not.

Ate at the Chando’s truck at a Sactomofo event. I ordered 3 veggie tacos(for $ 6). Their tacos are tiny! So I wasn’t full by the end but I suppose that left room for dessert from one of the other food trucks at the event. The taco filling itself was good but somewhat sparse, and there weren’t many of the usual fresh taco toppings on it. Additionally, the woman who took my order was very huffy and curt — there wasn’t much of a line but maybe she was in over her head? I’ll probably still give the actual restaurant a try at some point but probably not the truck again.

U can never go wrong w chandos. At first glance the tacos look small but the meat and produce portion is filling. My favorite meat at this establishment is the asada… mmmm. Decent prices and quick service I suggest u partake.

They were at the sactomofo Tuesday truck event at the capitol. Ordered a mini torta with carnitas and mulita de adobada. Came out to $ 7. It took a while to get my order, but they were a little busy since it was lunchtime. I enjoyed the mulita it tasted the same as the stand they have on Arden, but the torta didn’t have that much meat in it and the meat didnt have that much flavor as when I tried their stand. So it was good, but will stick with my usual mulita and adobada or asada because they never disappoint.

WORSTFOOD!!! From a taco truck. Portions are small compared to others and the meat tasted spoiled. Stay away from this death trap!!!

Food might be good but we didn’t order because when we asked for nachos with cheese on the side for our 6 year old granddaughter, we were told no specialized orders. Really? No chips with cheese on the side for a little kid from a taco truck? Business must be really good. Forget it, we’ll eat somewhere else.

Everytime we come to food truck day in Elk Grove, Chandos is my first stop. Best food there.

I finally got to try Chando’s Tacos when their truck made an appearance at the Folsom Food Truck Safari last Wednesday.(I’m not sure whether or not the food truck thing in the OSH/OD parking lot is still on, but the Safari happens the third Wednesday of every month at the Folsom zoo.) After spending $ 10 for my kid to get a hot dog and a smoothie, I decided I’d better cut back on my spending for myself, so instead of getting a burrito like I really wanted, I ordered the mulitas with carne asada for $ 3.50. I had never heard of mulitas before, but it’s basically just a «real» quesadilla, which is a quesadilla with the fillings packed between two corn tortillas rather than a giant flour concoction folded in half.(In Tucson, they call the same thing a ‘carmelito.’) It was kind of small, but the meat and the toppings were so good that it was definitely worth it. I probably could have eaten two, or maybe even three after a good workout. The meat and the guacamole were spot on, and I love that they are included in the price. Or, rather, I have kind of a vendetta against anyone who does NOT include guac in their pricing structure. The way the cheese oozed out and around the side of my mulita said«fresh.» So, although the pricing seemed high at first, it turned out to be very much worth it for what you get(real food). The customer service was great. They didn’t have a Visa sticker or logo in their window, but they do accept cards with Square on their iPad. P. S.: Me: «Who is sending me this receipt? What? How the hell did they get my phone number?» And then my slightly younger friend calmly explained to me how technology works…

the chando’s trucks are now carrying nachos! I was super excited to try these nachos out but very disappointed. :( the cheese that comes on it, was very runny. almost as if I went to a fast food restaurant & ordered the nachos. it probably would’ve been better with shredded cheese. I also asked for no sour cream & I heard the woman at the window tell the workers not to put sour cream on the nachos but they did anyways… my dad is allergic to sour cream, so it was a let down for him, since he couldn’t try them. I think I’ll stick with my carne asasa quesadillas from now on.

Wow! Best food truck ever!!! Got a three taco combo(fish, chicken, and one that is similar to Al Pastor). it was so yummy! All the meat was flavored perfectly to perfection. It also had a good amount of meat with onion, cilantro, and sauces. I also got a al pastor(similar meat since I forgot the name) Quesadilla! Delicious! It is my lunch and dinner. I love Chandos now and can’t wait to try more of their items.

Food trucks in Woodland. They had on of the shortest lines today and everyone said to try them out so we did. Service was amazing. I ordered a chicken burrito. It really wasn’t the greatest. But it was made with really fresh ingredients, so that’s a plus

I get the hype — Their veggie tacos & burritos are full of veggies, melted cheese & guacamole, super delicious! Chando’s is a good spot for vegans as well.

Now Chando’s comes to you! Well, kinda. It’s at least easier to avoid the epic trek out to Power Inn Road or Arden Way because their truck brings the incredibly flavorful, simple Mexican fare that Chando’s in known for to a downtown location near you. The menu is more about the ingredients than how you order them. For example, my friends got pork burritos and I got the two tacos for only $ 4, also with pork. The pork was seasoned and sweetened to perfection and melded well with the guacamole/salsa toppings they put on every taco. I couldn’t leave it at just one round so I bought another, this time with asada and chicken. Whatever their cooks are doing in the seasoning department has got to be the reason why Chando’s has been such a success. Many places just scoop in some soupy boiled protein or cook it to death without adding any flavor or even salt. Chando’s clearly cooks what they know people crave.
