I was so excited to try this place when I found out it opened. It’s very rare to find a good middle eastern restaurant in this area. The food was truly amazing! The owner and his family were extremely kind and welcoming. I highly recommend trying this place! You will not be disappointed

Best food in town! Lamb kabob, chicken kabob were both amazing so tender and juicy! Great customer service very friendly staff.

Very good food! The rice is very yummy! I had the Chicken Shawarma Pita and it was amazing! The restaurant is under new ownership and I think it is going very well. The food is so good you must go try it yourself!

Place was empty when I ordered for a pick-​up. Found out this location has been open for only a month. Food is… well, kinda bland and dry. There are much better options in Elk Grove for gyros and schwarma and the like. Live and learn. Hope they improve their flavors.

Started with the felefel appetizer. First time trying it maybe it’s just me, I thought it was very bland and flavorless. The the chicken plate I ordered… The chicken was very dry even with their sauce on it. I waited a while for my drink to see if they forgot, halfway through my meal I didn’t feel like waiting anymore and had to ask for it. When I went to pay with my card she asked if I had cash, I didn’t mind but I wanted to use my card. Then she brings me the wrong change and when I told her she looked at me like I’m crazy then I broke down the math for her and got my correct amount. First and last time here

Reopened under new management. The chicken was really really succulent! However the marinate was a little bit too peppery. Meats are burned.
Flavor is decent but I don’t think it is best in Elk Grove. Also, combination kabob and a ice tea comes to $ 18 and change.

Good food BUT
Each meal came to the table separately-​the last one a good 5 minutes after the first
They only take cash, which they didn’t mention until we tried to pay (the sign on the door said they accepted numerous cards)
We asked for a receipt & they tore a piece of paper in half and wrote it out
All in all a comical adventure that was kind of annoying

Great place. New owners just took it over last week so look for a name change. Super clean. Food is amazing. Owner is very nice. They didn’t have dessert on the menu, but we were craving something sweet. He brought us out his family’s dessert. «Sorry kids, I’m sure your mom will make more». ;)
The Unilocal discount is from the old restaurant, but they’re honoring it anyway. Happy to have them in our neighborhood!

The food was excellent, the wait was short, and the service was awesome. Love it here.

Service is so bad. Asked for a table for 4 and got a «???» look. Maybe they are not expecting any customers.
Food was especially bad. The kabob lamb was rough and chewy. My gyro wrapper was a toasted burrito wrapper which broke apart upon chewing. The French fries were greasy like hell… inedible.

I was pleasantly surprised! The food is amazing! They have another location on Fulton Avenue in Sacramento, CA. It’s a family owned business. I would recommend this place for great, fresh Mediterranean food with a twist! I’ll be back again!

We had baba ganoush, tabbouleh, shawarma chicken, and Gyros Wrap. The portions are large and the people are nice, which adds to the charm of this place. All our food came quickly and was very tasty.
We definitely will be returning.

Excellent food. Suuuuuuper nice people. The prices are a little high, but you get big portions.
Based on observation, it looks like they are a catering business who is now opening a small storefront. The place could use some sprucing up. It’s sort of just a tiny space with a few tables and some really bright fluorescent lights. We didn’t like the TV on the wall. It was very loud and annoying. However, we’ll be back. The food & staff are amazing.

Med Nachos were incredible. The house made sauces are to die for and really tasted like nothing else I’ve had. I am so excited to have finally found a spot in Elk Grove that I can enjoy when I visit.
Chicken kabob was also flavorful, but nothing beats the nachos. Superb, kind service was also a plus. Very attentive and even gave me a compllimentary treat when my wait was longer than expected.

We went in on Saturday for lunch for the first time and really enjoyed it. Corina had the Gyro Plate and I had the Fattouch Salad. Both were excellent! We started off with the Chicken Mediterranean Nachos because of the reviews we read here on Unilocal*Wonderful!!!
We called ahead to ask about beer and wine and were told they do not serve them. But, she said we were welcome to bring our own with no corkage fee. That is an excellent deal my friends.
Our waitress was the best anyone could ask for. She was perfect. The only thing we had a problem with was the stupid TV on the wall playing some worthless TV crap all the time we were there. So I am going to have to deduct a star. Please remove the damn TV so we can enjoy our meals! This isn’t some lame sports bar and you do not need a TV blasting out from the wall. How about some Mediterranean music?

This is our first time here. The food was great! Yes, like others mentioned, the Mediterranion Nachos (with Eggplant) were mouthwateringly good!!! :) We also ordered Fish of the day (it was Tilapia) with rice and salad. That was great too. All in all, the food is fresh and the price is reasonable too. Healthy food too. So get your hungry tummies here!
P. S. A little bit of improvement in customer service would be splendid to go with the great food :) I called before going to inquire about the fish of the day. I was told it was Alaskan Pollock. When we went there we were told the choice was between Pacific Cod and Tilapia. Fine, I wanted Cod. But few minutes later the server returns and tells us they are out of Cod and it’s only Tilapia. And so it was, we got lucky with Tilapia :) Other than this little surprise, it was great!

We loved absolutely our 1^st trip to FreshMed. They offered us a sample of the chicken nachos and we were SOLD! It was exploding with flavor! Fresh and satisfying.
We ordered:
Chicken Nachos– AMAZING!
Hummus– Standard but good. Pita bread was below average, more on the dry chewy side. I prefer soft and thick.
Chicken Panini– a bit bland as served but once we added the garlic sauce that comes on the side, much better.
Chicken Kabob plate w/​a side of gyro meat– salad was so crisp and fresh, delicious dressing. The chicken was moist and so flavorful. Gyro meat perfectly seasoned.
We cant wait to return and try out more stuff!

Love Fresh Med! I’ve been enjoying their delicious food for years at their original location in the Arden area.
This family owned business has boomed thanks to their amazing catering! I’ve had the pleasure of trying their food at many events. Since the location is just across the street of my work, we asked them to cater a meeting for us. They delivered and everything was on point!
If you’re here you have to try the chicken nachos! They’re AMAZING! The service is always very friendly. I eat here fairly regularly and I’d recommend it to everyone!

They’re new to the area and have yet to put a permanent sign up. They apparently have another location on Fulton, in Sacramento. Inside, the restaurant is outfitted with candles, large chairs and dining tables, and curtains.
I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and a gyro for my husband. The gyro was delicious and something we would order again. On the other hand, I was left searching for chicken. We ordered take out and both dishes were fresh and ready in 5 minutes. Not to mention their $ 4.99 lunch special pricing for wraps and sandwiches.
They were very friendly and welcoming. It reminded me of visiting relatives (the ones who always want you to settle in and be comfortable).
I’m certainly coming back to try their dinner entrees. My lunch visits may be spread out a little more over time (I’ll have to order something other than their chicken shawarma).
