It’s interesting how we have lived in this Elk Grove area for so long and not know the names of particular parks. Well this happens to be one of those parks! In addition I can’t count the numerous times that we have passed through here not knowing the name of it until I just recently researched it! I have a former coworker friend whose home is just walking distance from here. Plus a family member’s close friend lives close by too. We used to pick her up in the morning to take them to school at least twice a week for six years. I even remember driving by knowing a coworker’s grandson having football practice here too. This park has a playground for young children from ages 5 – 12, a picnic area and tables, shade structure, & jogging/bike trails. In addition to this, there is a lighted soccer field and lighted softball field. There is also a dog park and a good sized parking lot. Barbara Morse Wackford Community & Aquatic center is adjacent to it. So very convenient in the summertime! In this park there also is a skate park too. I guess if you park in the lot you do run the risk of stray balls hitting your car especially by the ball park. I suppose I will continue driving by here in the future. Maybe one day they will have live entertainment; then I will actually spend the entire day here!!!
