The Donut Shop

I don’t have much to say about the variety or overall quality because I can’t get past the glazed donuts. I’ve had glazed donuts in each of the ten cities I’ve lived in and these are the best I’ve had so I keep getting them time after time. Some day I’ll check to see of the other varieties are as good.

I didn’t expect to ever put a low rating for this place. but after today’s visit I will not be returning. I have been going here on and off for years. Recently I have been several times in the last week. I buy the same items but the price was way different, by a lot!!! I asked why the price was so much, she replied with I’ll redo it. Price came up again. Ok, I bought the same thing four days ago and there was a big difference. That to me is a big deal! Then the prices seemed like they have taken a huge hike since I’d last been in before this week. The little milk bottles you get at Wal-​Mart for a dollar, they are selling them for $ 1.85. really making that extra profit. If you hike the price, quality of your product has to be consistent. 4 days ago I bought a cream filled chocolate bar and today a cream filled round chocolate donut, for the same price as they sell the bar. I also purchased the lemon filled donut that had less then a nickel size amount. They raised the prices ridiculously but are cheap! A jelly donut is supposed to have jelly in it not a tint in the bread… very dissatisfied!!!

I like this donut shop because you are greeted with a smile as soon as you walk through the door… At least that’s what I experienced. I stopped by to pick up a sweet treat for my bf who happens to love cinnamon apple fritters. The fritters here were fresh and warm and the baker was kind and patient with me and my indecisiveness. In addition to the fritters I picked out a couple of chocolate glazed and a cinnamon roll and watched at they were neatly placed in a small pink box. There’s something about a little pink donut box that makes my mouth water…

Best donut holes I’ve ever had! I know you’re thinking «donut holes? Who cares?» But trust me — they’re the BOMB! Dozen for $ 1.60 — great deal! And their other donuts are the bomb-​diggity too! Nice people too — family owned business. They were even busy at 1pm today — and their donuts were STILL fresh! GET EM!

This place is great!!! I recommend to come early on the weekends cause the donuts are fresh and warm! The service is great and they get you in and out in no time! They have a great selection and a few specials everyday. If you are in EG this is a great place to grab a delish donut!

These folks are nice make great donuts. The shop is easy to get in and out too. I’ve seen caramel-​covered donuts on the weekends.

Came in on a Friday morning around 10 am for National Doughnut Day.
Not that busy, one person working, but steady amount of customers going in.
Small shop. Lot of small tables that can seat 2. Looked cozy kind of like a gourmet doughnut type of shop.
What was nice that since it was National Doughnut Day I had a free doughnut. The only reason I gave a 2 star was the fact that there was not that many doughnuts left and they were not willing to make another batch, or at least offer to make one. I will give them lee way since they gave me a free doughnut, but if you were participating in this National Doughnut Day I expected to at least meet the demand. So unfortunately, had to give it a 2 star.
Other than that, like any other doughnut shop, pretty good.

Treat my sons class to the best apple fritters. Maple bacon and regular donuts. No stress ems students get. Perfect test scores because of your treats

these are literally the best donuts I have ever had. I consider myself a donut enthusiast. I have tried at least a dozen donut shops between here in Sacramento and the Bay Area. something about these wonderful donuts… they are fluffy and perfect. they sell out early on weekends, not too sure about week days. stop by this place for sure!

Literally, THE best donut shop in Elk Grove, which is saying something because I’ve sampled at a number of other donut shops in the area.
The donuts are light and fluffy and are not hard, overcooked, or over-​glazed at all. A simplified variety of donuts, they do not overreach and sacrifice the quality of their donuts. Have the salted caramel old-​fashioned donut, it is one of the most perfect donuts I’ve EVER had my entire life, I can’t get enough!
Do yourself a damn favor and visit this slice of heaven: D

Very cute, modern, almost bakery-​like donut shop. My husband swears the maple bacon bars are the best in town. The bacon is good quality and cooked fully; not like the chewy, limp bacon that we have had at other donut shops. Creative recipes too! I want to say one had cereal on the icing. Why not?

I come here often to pick up donuts for the car dealership I work for. The employees are always smiling and friendly, even at the crack of dawn. There is always a variety of donuts when I go and the price is great. Truly glad they are so close to the Elk Grove Auto-​mall. They make our Saturday work mornings much more enjoyable. Highly Recommended.

We got here about 2 minutes until closing and ordered a dozen donuts. The lady was very nice with excellent customer service and not only offered to fill a couple of donuts with custard for me while we waited at no extra charge, but she also gave us about about 5 extra donuts! The donuts are all fresh and tasty and the prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back!

Good donuts. Still soft and squishy at the end of the day. Good maple bars and rounds, great cinnamon rolls, and glazed twists are also nice. Didn’t like the maple bacon donut though. That’s just my preference.

YAY! Really like this place! Came in on a Friday morning thinking it’d be busy, but nope! (C’mon EG police, you know you should stop by…) Great price for a dozen and they had everything I loved fresh and warm! Ill be back!

This place is just fabulous. Simply one of the best donuts has to be the maple with bacon.

Great donuts! Although the lady did throw in an apple fritter and charge me for it and when I never asked for one and had no idea.

This is a small donut shop which is easily missed when driving by. I love donuts so I make it a point to try out all the shops in the area. This place is good, but you have to get there early or all the stock will run out. They do have one of my favorites, the maple bacon donut, but they don’t make it quite right. The maple flavor dominates the bacon flavor making it almost pointless… and its one of the more expensive donuts, $ 1.50 I believe.
Everything else is great, the business is small so there isn’t a lot of seating. Plan on just grabbing some donuts and leaving!

This place had me at Bacon-​maple doughnut!
Great doughnut at a good price. I was a little disappointed that they charge $.50 for credit card purchases.
