This place is one of our MUST go to spots for great burgers and wings. Their pasta specials are really good too! The service staff has always been friendly. Great place to eat!

Outstanding food, prices are good, bar bingo on Tuesdays is a ton of fun. Reuben balls are something different from the ordinary as are the mozz balls. Service varies from average to great. Have been here a couple times and never left dissapointed

Iv been here countless number of times and every single time it has been just terrible service. All the waitresses are very slow and act as if they don’t care /​don’t even wanna be there. Um hello ! If you don’t like your job, find something else. Don’t be in the service industry !
Food is good though.

I went there with some of my friends and the sleezy owners claimed to be 30 yrs old and was hitting on all the girls. This was a bit disturbing we’re going out to have a good time with friends not to be hit on by old creepy men who think there hip AND COOL. Anyways the food was decent and the drinks where great. The owner is clearly a creeper so we haven’t been back since and don’t plan on it anytime soon.

I will not bring anyone here ever… ¼ pound burgers are crap for the price. I didnt know the black guy at the door was my mom? Last i checked i could figure out my own night… Get a life!!! I had 3 beers.

Excellent lunch specials. It was surprisingly entertaining to watch the bobcat prepare the beach pit.

Stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon for a little refreshment and liquid courage. My mature female bartender did not disappoint me and handcrafted a delicious lemon drop martini with sugar rim. I also was able to get a few little bites from the happy hour food menu — little franks wrapped in bacon and deep fried with some brown sugar sauce… oh so good… my little tots with burger were dang tasty too. I would go here often if I lived near.

Seems to be our «go to» bar when we want a good burger and a beer. We fell into the place when we tried going to the wine place next door, and the wait was sooooo long. Went to the bar next door (which, let’s be honest, that’s more our style) and got right in! Burger was good– their pickle appetizer is phenomenal! Wait staff always have good beer suggestions. Looking forward to the volleyball in the summer months too.

I took my Mom for lunch and this is the place she wanted to eat at. Her friends had told her they have good burgers so that’s what she ordered. I ordered the Cuban and we split the meals. She got the Jalger which has fried pickles and peanut butter on it, both sandwiches were pretty good. There weren’t a lot of people in the restaurant which concerned me at first but the food was good and the service prompt.

I checked out Boondox soon after they opened. I went there for dinner and drinks. The dinner was average at best but I saw there were Volleyball leagues which seemed fun for summer. My friends and I went there all summer long last summer playing 3 seasons of Volleyball. Out of probably 25 times of going there, I believe we had good service once. I like the atmosphere, being outside, playing volleyball but it was very frustrating continuously waiting about 15 minutes just to get a drink and our food always took at least 30 mins. I would say 45 mins was our average wait on food for simple appetizers and wings when they weren’t even busy. One particular time we received HORRIBLE service, there was a pregnant girl who ordered wings at our table and about 15 minutes after her a guy also ordered wings. The server first brought out his wings and placed them right in front of him, which he began to eat. Then about 10 mins later the waitress brought the pregnant girl her wings. When she tried to eat one she realized they were spicy and not what she ordered. She explained this to the server who then realized they mixed up the wings. She told the pregnant lady to just switch with the guy because those were the ones she ordered. His were at least 50% gone at this time but they were simply supposed to switch. She explained that she did not want his or would just like to re-​order what she originally ordered. After the servers mistake she charged us for 3 orders of wings. When we asked why she said it was because we were served 3 orders and that we had to pay for them even after talking with management. I can not believe this. We decided not to go again for a long time. However, we went again tonight to cheer on some friends that still play Volleyball there. We ordered the Spring Rolls for the first time. After eating one, I realized they were not good at all. They were tasteless with a lot of rice paper. They were horrible. I explained to the server very kindly that I did not like them and asked to order something else. He actually gave us good service and gladly took away the Spring Rolls and brought out Wings instead. At the end, he charged us for the Spring Rolls and Wings. I kindly asked why we were still being billed for the Spring Rolls since he easily took them back. He said he couldn’t discount them. Then we asked to speak with a Manager. We have spent a sufficient amount of money here throughout Volleyball. After complaining, the Manager said they would only take off 50% = $ 3.50. It’s ridiculous that when they know we were regulars they wouldn’t spare $ 3.50 to make a customer happy. On a side note I also noticed the drink cups were much smaller then they used to be. The drink cups are smaller then the kids cup. It’s sad that as business owners you wouldn’t try to keep customers happy. We will not be back.

Stopped in for a drink. They had karaōke night going on, it was awful and we left. Music was way too loud. We didn’t eat. The two stars are based on our experience only.

One of the better bars/​grills in the Elk River/​Otsego area if not the best, in my opinion.
The tortilla pizzas are excellent in particular! (The buffalo chicken and alfredo chicken, especially.)
Friendly bartenders and waitresses, relatively prompt even on busier nights. Last time the manager (owner?) frequently stopped by to chat and ask how the food and drinks were.
Comfortable atmosphere with plenty of screens with different games on and often live bands will play. Not as much of a younger crowd compared to Cowboy Jack’s across the highway, but that could be a good or bad thing depending on who you are.

Great idea that needs tweaking !!
My hubby and I have been here twice now. Each time the service was very slow, took a long time to get food.
The first time I tried the wings and hubby had the Odean burger. Both were fine, nothing extra great! Again it just took along time.
Second time and last time! I ordered a turkey bacon wrap and Brian got the fish. This time we had our 2 youngest girls with us. Again long long wait for food even longer with kids!!!
When my wrap finally came I was stunned. It wasn’t white meat. It was dark meat mixed with fat! Huh??? Isn’t it NORMALLY turkey breast? Maybe I’m wrong but this wrap was icky !
My hubby said his fish was ok but the Cajun tarter sauce had to go! Lol.
They seem to have a great bar for drinking! Go there for drinks skip the food!
