Paddock Club

We are visiting from Milwaukee and were immensely impressed by this chef-​owned restaurant. Very friendly and professional server, and a tantalizing menu. We were thrilled they also had a three course kids menu. Delicious hand crafted drinks, too! I recommend the grapefruit and gin concoction. The entire meal was fabulous!

A fantastic restaurant that could go toe-​to-​toe with restaurants in any big city. Chef Lynn & her staff are incredibly talented. Their weekly Tuesday Small Plates Nights are a fun way to experience an ever-​changing menu of fresh, seasonal, and often local ingredients. Their full menu offers a terrific variety of pastas, salads, and entrees. The service is always pleasant & attentive. They offer live music on. Select evenings that is always great, too. Lovely wine list, tap beer options (with growlers!), and cocktails!

The food was great. We had the filet and stuffed pork chop. Both were executed perfectly. We made a reservation and were well taken care of and welcomed with our young son. Our server was fantastic and we enjoyed the live music playing comfortably from the classy attached bar. We definitely recommend the Paddock Club!

What a hidden gem! I had no idea Elkhart Lake had the big city feel with the small town atmosphere. The food here was delicious! The server unfortunately did not meet our expectations. From the start she was standoffish, short, and quite rude. We asked for variations to our entrees; she was uninformative and acted insulted about any questions or request we made. She never thanked us for our patronage but was more than eager to take care of the bill. Because the food and atmosphere was so outstanding is the only reason I would even consider such a high rating.

Very good food, the homemade pasta was delicious, especially the gnocchi. The gnocchi was amazing!
Knocked down a star for the decibel level and for all the tables being high, bar tables. I find that uncomfortable.

Was in last Friday. Front of house stretched a bit thin but Server Sarah Nelson (AKA Nellie) was in command and did an expert job. Really took care of our table. Regarding the food, every single dish our table of 8 ordered was flawlessly executed. Every aspect cooked to correct temperature and texture. Not easy to find really well prepared plates even in Milwaukee so my expectations were tempered for Elkhart Lake. But, expectations were surpassed. Nice work.

We were there for a large family dinner. It was hit or miss. My wife wasn’t impressed with here pasta, yet, our sons steak was great. I can’t even remember what I had, guess that tells you something.

Had dinner on Wednesday evening, the salad special was outstanding. Eggplant, mozzarella, tomatoes and basil in balsamic vinegar. The eggplant was breaded and
sauteed, served warm. I would love to see this salad on the regular menu.

Hosting Incompetence — Our party of 6 arrived at 6:15pm, asking for a 6 top. We were lead to a table that only could seat 4. After heading back to the hosting stand we were told that there was no space available for us till 8:15pm, despite half the restaurant being vacant. It seems like the two hostesses working got so flustered that they could do nothing but tell us a lie. Very disappointing, a slap in the face to the people of Elk Hart Lake and Midwest hospitality. We went to the Lake Street Café next door and were treated fantastically.

This was our favorite restaurant in Elkhart Lake. The Wisconsin cheese plate appetizer was delicious and plentiful (and the bread! yum!). Delicious salad and entrees (seafood cannelloni special was especially good). Kids’ dishes were healthy and good value. We would definitely dine at the Paddock Club again!

Was completely surprised. Thought it was a great little bar but we had an excellent meal. Best Hanger Steak ever had.

What a gem of a restaurant. We were in town for a girls weekend. Coming from Minneapolis and Chicago there are obviously many great restaurants we have access to… would put Paddock Club as a solid restaurant. Oysters were fresh. Salad was good. Risotto fritters were yummy, deep friend balls of goodness. We had the John Dory special — risotto and fish were slightly oversalted. Good sized portions though. The duck duo was yummy — confit and smoked breast were tasty. Overall, a lovely experience. Service was great. Would return again.

This is the best fine dining in Elkhart Lake. We look forward to going to Elkhart Lake at least once a year and having this restaurant in the dining options is one of the reasons. Always great food and service. It is sophisticated and yet family friendly. They have a perfect children’s menu designed to keep them busy while adults enjoy a real dinner and they were very accommodating with our two year old. Go! Go with Friend or Family. Everyone will enjoy.

This place is outstanding! I always make sure I can clear my schedule to make it up here when my parents invite me for dinner :) I’ve been here a handful of times over the last few years, and not once have we had a negative experience. It is always such a pleasure coming here, leaving happy and stuffed!
Food: I love how Paddock Club changes their menu items up frequently; I always look forward to seeing their seasonal additions. By now I’ve tried a majority of their menu, and it’s really one of the best. A lot of it is fairly meat-​heavy, but they do always have good vegetarian options. I am not a strict vegetarian, so occasionally I will try meats, but I usually prefer meatless options.
Service: Outstanding! The servers have always been extremely knowledgeable, particular, and friendly. So often you go to restaurants these days, and if the server doesn’t know the answer to your question, he/​she doesn’t even offer to ask management/​kitchen staff! Ridiculous. That is not the case here. I feel like they always go above and beyond to make sure the customer is taken care of, in a timely manner, too!
Atmosphere: I’ve sat at the bar, at the high top tables, and in the dining room. All areas are equally enjoyable. The restaurant typically gets pretty crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, so it’s a tad noisy in the bar area, but that’s expected so it doesn’t bother me. The general vibe and décor is upscale, yet not stuffy.
I highly recommend Paddock Club to anyone who’s coming to the Elkhart area. Go try it out, you’ll love it!

Probably best restaurant in Elkhart Lake area. Great variety on the menu with pretty solid ingredients. Prices are reasonable if you live in a metropolitan area although its probably one of the more expensive meals in the area. Gotta take advantage of the going, going, gone beers on the drink menu. $ 2/​bottle for some outstanding beers

Had a really great meal here. Loved everything, and especially the cheap, good beer list. Had hanger steak, calamari, grilled broccoli, all excellent. Good service, reasonable prices, nice room. All good.

Really good food and a great staff… hopefully next time I visit they will have gotten rid of that terrible gluten free beer and replaced it with Omission Gluten free beer.
Def worth a night out

Had a delicous meal here with a group of girls. With 12 of us on a Saturday night service was great and food was tasty.
Starters — calamari had delicious lemon flavor. Pork Belly was delicious
Entrees —
Pork Shoulder — the jalapeño lime was very tasty on the green beans/​potatoes but i wanted more of it on the pork. it was cooked quite tender tho
Pumpkin Ravioli — some of the best I’ve had!
Delightful spot. Cozy warm and inviting!

We chose this restaurant to try during a recent visit to Elkhart Lake mostly because it was one of the few that had their menu posted in the window.
What we found when seated (quickly) was a friendly place to dine and drink. Very excellent waitstaff who were there when we needed something without being the least bit intrusive.
Great menu– they seem to have both the sandwich and near gourmet entrée ends of the spectrum covered.
The only negative is it gets a bit noisy on busy nights– the décor doesn’t lend itself to sound absorption apparently.
We felt it is an all around solid feel good place to enjoy– the prices are reasonable too (not sure why other reviewers thought otherwise)!
