Good service, but the food was very low quality for the price. Would not eat there again.

Great place for breakfast. The fast service was also friendly and our food was great. This was my second recent trip to the Elk Restaurant and the previous visit was equally quick.

Elk Restaurant’s pies are to die for. We didn’t try the food. Wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful. A real find in Elkhorn!

Cozy little restaurant. Went in randomly with a friend for a late lunch. Only 1 waitress but she was attentive and friendly with the 4 tables she had. I had a burger and fries and friend had a wrap. We both agree the fries are excellent and worth going back for. Food was good, it hit the spot. They have a large menu so I’ll try something new next time. Good prices for a quick lunch.

Service pretty much non-existent. Told to sit anywhere and then waited 15 minutes being ignored by 3 waitresses. I was happy to take my money elsewhere.

Looked quaint. Friendly when we entered but never waited on us! Waited on table next to us, place more than half empty. No menus, no water, no acknowledgment once we sat down.

After looking for somewhere that didn’t fry everything on our road trip we landed up in downtown Elkhorn(really charming by the way) at the Elk Restaurant. It had the classic diner feel that necessitated ordering a milkshake(very tasty!) I got a philly wrap with the salad bar. The wrap was satisfying and cheesy. The salad bar was a bit strange to me. It had iceberg lettuce, many types of potato/macaroni salad and just a couple toppings, like olives and cheese. It was only $ 3.95 though, so I couldn’t complain much. Our waitress was very nice, and it really sealed the deal when she asked if we wanted some pie(we didn’t, but we loved the offer). So much parking. Definitely a good place to go for a nice sit down meal, especially on the middle of a long road trip.

Fun little restaurant in quaint downtown Elkhorn. We enjoyed our time and the food was homemade. Great sandwiches and nice service. All in all, I’d go back anytime.

Cute little retro place, feels ‘old timey’. Friendly service. Always prompt on the coffee. The fries are delicious. Good food all around.

I loved walking into this place. I felt like I was walking back in time and I loved everything about it. The small, cozy booths, the soda fountain and general feel of the place. They make an exceptionally delicious Reuben sandwich! It was darn near perfect! Heck, looking back, I think it was perfect. It was the most beautifully constructed Reuben I have ever had the pleasure of eating. I also appreciated the perfectly delicious thousand island dressing on the side. Service was young and inexperienced — but only added to the charm of this place. My daughters pancakes were delicious and my husband enjoyed his breakfast dish! Next time we’re in the area, I just might demand that my brother lead the way to Elk Restaurant again!

This place has been here since before I was born and I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. They have excellent service and the food is great especially the breakfast. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced which is perfect for families. Try the eggs Benedict before 11 am.
