This is the worst Walgreens ever!!! You can never go in the store without a line of five or more people! And do you think they would call up another cashier? Of course not! I have to ask the cashier to call another cashier up. And then when the other cashier finally does arrive, all the people in the back of the line go over to that cashier rather than the cashier saying next person in line and making sure people are taken care of in proper order of wait times. Sigh. How hard can this be? Just terrible. I shop at CVS now. Better prices. Nicer, more INTELLIGENT employees and never out of stock on items. As for the pharmacy, it is absolutely horrendous!!! I cannot tell you how many problems I have had with this pharmacy!!! The tall, thin gentleman pharmacist is very nice and very efficient, however, he does not process the orders. This is the start of the problems. They don’t look at your history to see how you buy things, so orders get delayed with wrong quantities or wrong billing methods or second guessing of what a doctor has ordered for you. Delay, delay, delay! This happens 50% of the time. Ridiculous!!! Switched to CVS. THEY offer service and pricing befitting of their name!!!

Pharmacy Review: In all my years, I have NEVER had a prescription filled incorrectly. In all my years I’ve NEVER had my prescriptions filled anywhere other than Walgreens(in every state I’ve lived in). I’ve even had to have prescriptions filled while out of town while vacationing & that was a pleasant experience. But then I encountered this Walgreens Pharmacy and I have had two mishaps within two weeks. First, they give me someone else’s testosterone. I’m still trying to figure out how that happened because the bottle had my name on it and I’ve never had a prescription for testosterone(clearly I don’t need it). When asked how did it happen the response was«I don’t know». Then the following week they shorted me by about 60 pills. When I called I got a «call center» who then transferred me to «Jamie»(@ this local pharmacy). While explains to her that I hadn’t received all of my pills the phone disconnected. Guess what happened next, I called the local number & got the«call center» again who had to transfer me. «Jamie» answers again and I told her I was just placed on hold & she went into the drama about how she didn’t put me on hold it must have been someone at «customer service» BUT yes I had just talk to her but I have to call back the next day to talk to the pharmacist about my issue. However, the next morning«Jamie» called me back to tell me I could come pick up the rest of my pills. ??? No apology, nothing! I’m really a person of consistency & I don’t want to change to Publix but I can’t risk another error & the lack of urgency to correct it. Maybe I’ll just have to resort to going to a different location. :(

Vicky is the friendliest, most helpful person I’ve encountered at a retail store… ever. She goes out of her way to make every visit I have there special. She is a rare treasure!

After enjoying a fancy dinner with my husband at Applebee’s, we decided to stop by Walgreen’s to purchase a box of wine to imbibe on for the remainder of our evening. The first thing I noticed was, unlike the neighboring CVS parking lot, Walgreen’s offers no golf cart parking. I simply cannot imagine how the residents of Colony Cove deal with this. One day when I retire to the Cove, I just know I will be taking my golf cart all around town, and I expect there to be ample golf cart parking available EVERYWHERE. The second thing I noticed was an overweight woman making her entrance into Walgreen’s before me. There is a nip in the air, so she was wearing nude tights and a skirt. Her skirt somehow became tucked into her nude tights, exposing her rather large behind. No one else seemed to notice, so I graciously informed her of her wardrobe malfunction. After sparing her any further embarrassment, I obtained my boxed wine. The check-out line was speedy, and the associate was quite friendly. This Walgreen’s location does sell Parrish and Ellenton tourist T-shirts, so don’t forget to grab one before you leave!
