This place is top notch. They don’t skim on quality anywhere. It is small but that’s noticeable because of their success. The food is great, service is excellent. Have been there twice in one weekend. That’s how good it is. See for yourself.

We celebrated an early Valentine’s dinner and are so pleased we chose this restaurant. They could not be more accommodating. The staff truly raises the bar on service in the area. Our meals were excellent, and as a pleasant surprise they sent us home with a little baggy of cookies. We can’t wait to come back and try some more items on your menu.

I love trying new restaurants so thanks to good olé Unilocal and trusty Unilocalers I was able to find this nice establishment. I loved the ambiance that Grille 620 presents to it’s patrons. Thursday seemed like the perfect night for a good mom’s night out. It is small but has a decent size bar area and apparently a great happy hour. Dinner I opted for a glass of chardonnay, mussels and truffle mac n cheese. I enjoyed my mussels that were swimming in a broth that consisted of tomato, white wine, and other herbs which made for the perfect combo to soak my bread. I was a little disappointed in the truffle mac it was a bit too creamy for my taste buds. My friend enjoyed hers and raved about it the next day. I guess with truffle mac if you like the creamy versions you may appreciate Grille 620 but I will pass on that next time. Yes, I plan on going back. It’s a great place to catch up. The service and wait-staff were extremely friendly. Kudos to Grille 620 I will be back.

Grille 620 gave me a night to remember! A couple of girlfriends and i decided to go out for drinks, and great food and we stumbled across this hidden treasure of a restaurant. The décor caught our attention from outside and my girlfriends and I felt compelled to go see what this place had to offer. I knew the second we walked through the door we were all destined for a great dining experience. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a great smile from the host. The waiting area had a good amount of people and the restaurant had a good flow of people, i thought the wait would be a while but they had our table ready in minutes. Another employee that seemed to be a manager escorted us to our table. I asked for his name and for recommendations on the menu(by the way everything sounded amazing). Your manager Tony gave us awesome suggestions and even persuaded us to try some of your most popular menu items, steak strips and oysters. In a timely manner we had Chad, our server greet us and inform my group and i about the incredible food your restaurant carries. Chad was knowledgable and answered all of our questions with a genuine smile. He suggested popular cocktails that some of my girlfriends really enjoyed, and i was impressed at one the presentation of your bar, and two the wide selection of spirits you carry. I personally love whiskey and your phenomenal bartender Micheal can make a hell of a Manhattan. We had received the appetizers Tony had suggested and was a little taken back by the oysters at first, it would have been my first time trying them but Tony made them sound so great, that I couldn’t leave without trying at least just one! The steak strips were perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked to perfection, and the girls and i fell in love with your fresh oysters. I was so impressed at how great our experience was going so far that i could only imagine how delicious your main dishes are. With great music, great service, and good spirits our gathering was a great success. I am a huge fan of this establishment and I intend on returning here soon. Tony told me about your winning yum-yum burger and how its known to be one of the best burgers in town, it was all the reason we needed to come back. Thank you Chad and Tony for the grand experience and i hope to see you all soon. My experience was great from beginning to end, thank you for making our girls night so memorable. GREATJOBEVERYONE!

My fiancé and I went to Grille 620 for date night. The place isn’t huge but the service was wonderful and the food was excellent. We got there too late to try the risotto but I’ll definitely be coming back. The Smith Island is to die for so leave room for it!

Had a wonderful experience at Grille 620! The management was friendly and welcoming, the waitstaff was knowledgable, and the food was excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection and the scallops were delicious. We will definitely frequent this restaurant– can’t wait to try brunch!

This is exciting for us tonight. We are out from the blizzard of 2016, and are smelling the deliciousness coming from the kitchen of The Grille 620, in The Turf Valley Town Square off Marriottsville, Md We are so happy we could get out to Resturant week before it shuts down on Thursday! We began with the Grille 620 Manhattan, the tender, Michael behind the beautiful well organized bar that has a fleet of whiskey’s bourbons and scotches to please most appetites, well mine anyway, was delicious! Just the right essence of orange bitters. On to my main course. Fried Rockfish! It’s a specialty by Chef Fabio, and not always on menu but I was blessed last night indeed. It was stuffed with lemon, parsley, seasoned to perfection, and I ate almost the whole fish! My husband had a filet with crab meat resting on top with with incredible sauce, baby grilled potatoes and asparagus. I could tell he was enjoying! The desserts we ordered we can not comment on because we ate so much delishiousness we offered them to less fortunate with applause! What does that tell you! The house was busy, but that did not stop our great service, which compliments any excellent meal! I’m from NY so I give Grille 620, to hands up! That would be a 10! Husband agrees!

Great atmosphere and delicious food! Took my husband here tonight for his birthday and it was our first time here. We started with the seafood ceviche and the oyster rockefeller. The first appetizer was satisfactory, but the second was very good. My husband had the ribeye steak and I had the crab cakes. We both thoroughly enjoyed our entrees, but these crab cakes are the best I’ve ever had. My husband had the bread pudding and French-pressed coffee, which he also enjoyed. Service was a little slow in the beginning, but it got better throughout the night. Our waiter was very knowledgable when it came to the menu.

We came here for a «date night» dinner on a whim and loved it. The service was excellent and the staff was very responsive. My wife ordered a burger, and I ordered a fish special. Both were incredible! My fish was cooked to perfection and was filleted table side by Sous Chef. Mid meal chef checked on us as made sure we enjoys the fish. Desert was awesome. It is a little pricey, but worth every penny. Highly recommend!

My husband and I decided to ring in the New Year in style with a visit to your restaurant. Overall, our experience was positive. We enjoyed the friendly waiter and our entrees and desserts were out-of-this-world good, but allow me to help you with your New Year’s resolutions: 1) Go back to soup school. The correct title for your lobster bisque should be lobster broth. Since when is a bisque supposed to be translucent? I watched in horror as my husband attempted to «fish» out a piece of lobster for me to try. By the time the soup arrived on our table, all of the fishing should have been done… If a pub in Maine would see your sorry excuse for what should have been a delicious way to start the meal, you would be flogged. 2) Your tables are too close for comfort. My husband and I were wedged in the corner next to this yuppie older couple who was way too loquacious for my liking. If I wanted to hear about how his grandson ate all of his Beluga truffle caviar from the cellar the night before, I would have stayed home to watch Downton Abbey. At least I would have been more comfortable… 3) Lastly, I can give you about«620» reasons why you need WD-40 because your front door is one of the squeakiest I have ever heard. I made the mistake of taking notice to the constant high-pitched sound early in the evening, so it was hard for me to ignore. Now, you must be thinking I am pretty harsh but when you charge $ 70 a plate, I want my experience to be damn-near perfect. Good luck on your resolutions. I will be checking on your progress…

We returned tonight for our anniversary dinner. My husband and I talked about going to Baltimore or Annapolis for our special dinner. We both thought why go that far when we can go here and stay closer to home. We have both been in the service industry for many years and are tough to please. I can honestly say this restaurant gets the whole picture. You can go places and have great food but awful service or you can go places and get great service but awful food. The manager Tony saw our reservation noted as our anniversary. He made sure we had a nice table in the back. The hostess said happy anniversary as she sat us. Our server Bridget said happy anniversary before anything else. After taking our order, we were brought 2 glasses of champagne and yes again told happy anniversary. That is service. Our food was phenomenal. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Thank you to the staff and chef for making our night special. Honestly we were treated like royalty, we ate like royalty, and left feeling like royalty. Do yourself a favor and try them. There are so many places in the area to choose from, and we made the perfect choice Also we have must support our locally owned restaurant’s.

Nice atmosphere, good food, and good drinks. They have great service too. We loved the oysters. I was happy to see a beer flight where you choose 4 draft beers, so I did that. They have great choices of beers on tap. For my main dish, I had the lobster risotto, which was good but overly salty in my opinion. If it was less salty, it would have been perfect! I’m willing to try again to see if that was accidental or purposeful. They have limocello, which they say is different because it has crème added to it. They have other flavors too such as pumpkin(for Fall) and chocolate. We tried the pumpkin and it tasted more like Rum Chata(which is a cinnamon milk-based liquor) than like pumpkin. Still, it was enjoyable. Overall, I would recommend it and would come back again.

Came to Grille 620 on my birthday after many friends recommended it. I am familiar with the River Hill Grille and was told the owners of that Clarksville establishment also own this fine dining. My group arrived and we were seated easily(it was a Wednesday). The bar looked decently crowded but the restaurant was not packed. They let us choose between a few tables which I loved, considering the amount of times I’ve dined at half empty restaurants and they give you the uneven table in a dimly lit corner. I was feeling adventurous and tried the octopus and actually enjoyed the taste. I recommend it if you’re feeling wild. The texture is something unusual but the taste was great. I had the crabcakes and others in the party enjoyed the shrimp. I wish they would extend their happy hour specials to the restaurant as well– I find this rule at restaurants particularly frustrating and exclusive. I should be able to order wine and drink it at a table in the restaurant versus the bar– it’s just annoying to be so selective. I will probably come here again for another nice occasion, or potentially to try the bar fare and happy hour.

The atmosphere, the food, the staff are all amazing. I had Ripeye, jumbo shrimp, and crab dip! I loved everything! The stake was juicy, the shrimp tasted fresh, and the crab dip was another story when we add it in top on the stake !!! Wow !

I will definitely be back to try out some other menus! Pros: — food was amazing! House salad was fruity and fresh. Fried tomato appetizer was okay. I like the fried tomatoes but not too much of the crabmeat on top. I like squid ink pasta in general so tend to order one if I see it on the menu. Their squid ink seafood pasta was not a disappointment! Especially shrimps werw huge and chewy. Their ribeye steak was amazing– asked for medium and it was cooked perfectly. Super juicy and the meat just melts in your mouth. Highly recommend! — service was great as well! Our waiter(I believe he was Steven) helped us with menu suggestions and was attentive throughout the whole dinner. Cons: — minor thing, the table wasn’t stable enough. I suggest the restaurant to do something to make it more stable. I kept pushing the table while i was eating by crossing legs etc… Overall i highly recommend this restaurant.

Steven was an awesome waiter. Genuine, helpful & prompt. Atmosphere is relaxed. Parking is easy. Most importantly, the food was fantastic. Yum yum burger was indeed yummy. The regular burger was also really great with nice fat slices of bacon. The fries… Oh the fries. They are DIVINE. Honestly, how do so many ppl screw up fries? These guys treat them right with garlic & fresh clean oil. The ceviche was also sublime. The lemonade was fresh & tart. I loved everything about this place. We’ll be back. Our new favorite hangout in Ellicott.

I came here for brunch with a group and I had somewhat high expectations for this place. The restaurant is in a nice area and the interior of Grille 620 is really nice too — upscale yet unpretentious vibe. The brunch menu sounded really appetizing, which is why we came here instead of Stanford Grill(which I’ve been to 20 times). The brunch/lunch menu has a lot of options and also have a $ 12 unlimited mimosa or champagne option. After being told they were out of the shortrib hash, some of us had to settle on secondary options. I ended up ordering the chicken and waffles which was just not good. The chicken was coated in a tempura style batter, instead of a more traditional flour/egg dredge. The waffle by itself was good, but it had a cabbage type slaw in between the chicken and the waffle, which just does not go with a sweet waffle. The whole dish was then topped with almost like a siracha creamy sauce, which was just overkill for both the savory chicken and then the sweet waffle. Simplicity would have made this dish more successful, classic breaded crispy fried chicken on a nice fluffy waffle with a slight syrup or spicy honey drizzle. Other people in my party got the 620 omelet, which featured crab, lobster, shrimp, vegetables and potatoes and fruit on the side. The omelet was good, but a bit overcooked and nothing to really write home about. The potatoes were actually really good though. Other diners in my party who ordered benedicts seemed to enjoy their dish a lot more, so I guess I will note that for next time. Service was consistently good throughout brunch, and our waiter kept everyone’s cup full who opted for the bottomless mimosa option. I’d be willing to give this place another try, especially for dinner, but I think their brunch dishes need a bit of work.

This was my 2nd visit to Grille 620. Our visit this time was for a Saturday brunch. Tony was our server and he was just great! Very attentive and made some stellar recommendations. We got the Crab Artichoke dip to start and it was delicious. I also enjoyed my BLAT sandwich with potato hash and fresh fruit. My fiancé got the shrimp and grits and said they were«good» I tried them and I agree they were yummy but I think he was expecting more of a savory and creole seasonings and they were a rich Parmesan creamy. Nothing bad just not what we are use to getting. The French press coffee also hit the spot. We opted out of adult beverages but they do have a $ 12 bottomless mimosa or champagne for brunch. I also want to give a special addition to the lobster roll I had last time. I was on the fence about getting it again but opted to try something different. It was so delicious! A lighter version tossed in a citrus mayo not like the heavy drawn butter lobster rolls. I found it refreshing and not as heavy on he stomach. From my understanding one is «Maine» style and one is «Connecticut». Just a fun fact I recently learned(hey I’m a Tennesseean living in Maryland give me a break!)

I am so disappointed in this place. So last night(Sunday) I walked in at 8 pm. The hours indicate they close at 9 pm. This was my second time here. and yet again no one at the hostess stand. I timed it. It took over 8 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me. That’s so not cool! The bus boy felt bad for me as he noticed! He sat me in the bar area. Time kept going by and no one approached me! Finally around 8:30 the bartender comes over and tells me the kitchen is closed. What? I was a little more than frustrated. I asked if I could order a drink and he said yes and proceeded to ask who sat me down. I really felt invisible here. He did give me my drink for free but still. This is not how you operate a business. I worked at a Country Club in college and I was a hostess. I never moved from that stand more than a few seconds. They have a real issue with the entrance and first impression. Also I clearly arrived an hour before closing, and should have been served. I am not going back.
